thats fair, though in 6th edition crossbows weren't allowed of peasants of any kind and men-at-arms are still technically peasants. I created this mod before I had read the army book or any of the novels were as I have now, which makes me less fond of a mod like this since its not really lore accurate. I used to not care at all about lore accuracy so long as the intent was still in line with the spirit of what the lore was about but I dont think this passes the smell check for me :yata:

Thank you!) Longbows are certainly good...) However, in my opinion, based on the lore, bows are the weapons of the peasants. But spears, polearms and crossbows are already for men-at-arms (although they are not knights, they are already higher in status than peasants). Yes, and in military bearing and in morale, they are much better than the peasants. I like the look of Men-at-arms with crossbows.)

Dosen't show the unit models carrying a cross bow other then that it works just fine.

I'm glad to see that this mod took off, Lily. It's an indispensable mod for the Bretonnian ranged department - with the exception of Pox Arrows, Peasant Archers really aren't worth the money the vast majority of the time.

I don't usually leave comments on mod pages, but I noticed that this mod has only 4 stars and I really don't think that's fair so I hope a few people see this. This mod has basically become an essential lightweight tool for me in terms of fleshing out the Bretonnian roster. The fact that crossbows don't have flame or poison effects, and that they're not fully AP, makes them feel like an upgrade to normal peasant archers which nobody uses anyway, and gives you real freedom in the campaign to choose between a larger selection of units later on. Great mod!

Good to know. I tend to avoid drawing direct inspiration from 1st/2nd/3rd edition as they seem far too outdated compared to the rest of the content on offer but its nice to know that Bretonnia having crossbows isn't too far-fetched. Not that that would stop me :D

Way back in the 3rd edition for the tabletop, Bretonnia did have Crossbowmen called Arbalestiers.

I'm saying I don't know how to have a mixed group of hounds & crossbowmen, which is what was requested. Let's drop the subject since I agree with your point but it doesn't change the fact that I can't/won't do it.

Well, in the tabletop game units like Rat Ogres required a handler, but it was excluded in the game for the sake of simplicity. There is not reason the same cannot happen for trufflehounds.

That model is a bit to far off for me to make a truffle hound. And I was also thinking that I dont know how make a squad have two completely different unit types in it.

Sorry, I dont think I can do that. Thank you for sharing your love for my work & the idea, I always loved using war dogs in other total war games. As I said though, I dont think its possible for me to add them.
