Will implement next update, thanks for the advice. The weird behaviour in pathfinding earlier was caused specifically on the bridge, where the sawmill roof struts made the path all narrow and weird.

important word of advice: to make your life easy, and to prevent bots from acting all funny around path links, just place one large path box over the whole map, give it a cell size of 0.1 and character radius of 0.4. Remove all other links and boxes. Bots will be able to walk through any space the player can go, and there will be no strange navigation quirks as bots repeatedly enter and exit boxes through those overly long links.
