Only as long as they are switched off! :steamhappy:

So in world 3 Puzzle 2 you can run through the turrets and survive. I ran in the middle but i am not sure if it works on other parts of the area

@barrymead:
I understand what you mean. For me it was at least as frustrating.
But since I am very persistent in such things, I finally have it
still managed!

Let's see what I can do.
When I have finished the new version of OP3, I try it again.
barrymead 17 Jun, 2020 @ 12:41pm
ma.hirsch: I noticed that you completed the What-Zap puzzle "In Labrynth". I congratulate you on your persistence and perseverance. I found that particular puzzle too frustrating irritating and slow moving to hold my attention. I have never felt that way about any other Talos Principle puzzle by Croteam or any other workshop author. If I can find anyone who has a decent written description of the intended solution to that puzzle, I could probably force myself to dedicate the time to make a video walk-through for that puzzle. But without a little help I just can't overcome the boredom and frustration that that puzzle puts on me. I realize that this forum is not the proper venue for this discussion. If you want to contact me privately, my email is barry.b.mead@gmail.com

Barrymead. I did it and thanks a lot for the trick. It works now.
barrymead 15 May, 2020 @ 2:31pm
ylombardo: I just now played through World 2 Puzzle 2 in both the Windows 10 and Linux versions of the game and 2nd box was there. If you open the steam menu and select The Talos Principle, then Right Click on The Talos Principle, and select "Properties" then a dialog box will open. Along the top of this dialog box is a tab labled "Local Files". If you click on that tab there will be an option to "Verify Integrity of game files" This is the only thing I could suggest to find/fix any corrupt files within the game.

i found another bug in world 1 puzzle 5 where there is the conector protected by turrets you can go under the arch and hug the wall to avoid the turrets and get the conector without needing to jam them
ylombardo 15 May, 2020 @ 3:36am
Barrymead I used to do so. No problem before the last update. The second box has disappeared. All you say is allright execpt this second box which doesn't exist anymore on her previous suuport for me. I played it for more than 6 times whiout any problem.
barrymead 14 May, 2020 @ 8:31pm
ylombardo: I just played the World 2 Puzzle 2 and found that it works as it always has. There are two boxes and one platform in the puzzle that you use with the timers and yourself standing on the plate in one case to keep the barriers open. You bring all three of these items over the high stage into the last area where the platform and one box hold open the final barrier to the sigil. Once you get the sigil, you use the remaining box to climb over the outer wall with the axe and box. This video shows how it is done.

@Ma.hirsch. Do I find a bug in world 2-puzzle 02 in the last umdate ? I think that the second box is missing, the one after the first recorder. So I can't progress further.

Another bug I found In world 2 when it is night and you go in the area you unlock with the keys from the hub you can walk through the wall on the left of the area and also skip the need of using the pink laser to unlock the world 4 telorporter
StarTheCat2003 12 May, 2020 @ 12:43pm
I found a bug In world 1 you can get the orange laser from puzzle 3 and take it in to puzzle 2 and the other way round and use the ex. use the laser edmiter from puzzle 2 to the reciver in puzzle 3
StarTheCat2003 8 May, 2020 @ 8:18am
i managed
ma.hirsch  [author] 7 May, 2020 @ 9:42pm
@barrymead:
Yes.
At some point I will get a grip on this problem.
Thanks.
barrymead 7 May, 2020 @ 11:12am
ma.hirsch: I noticed a strange shadow on the Timer in Island Puzzles - 02 after the update. Everything works perfectly just as before, but the lighting affect created this unusual jagged shadow on the face of the timer. I was curious if you see the same shadow?

jean-luc: If you are subscribed to ANY workshop item designed for the NEW version of Talos and have the Legacy version of Talos installed, then you will break the downloader.
barrymead 7 May, 2020 @ 10:46am
jean-luc: If yoiu see any msssages that say files cannot be downloaded, then you are still subscribed to a workshop item that breaks the downloader. You can unbsubscribe from all and then resubscribe to Only Puzzles 3 to fix this.
barrymead 7 May, 2020 @ 10:43am
jean-luc: When you subscribe to a map the workshop downloader puts the subscribed gro files into a different folder. The file will be named zz0e05cd55ca8fb905.gro and it will reside in the C:\Program Flles (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\The Talos Principle\Temp\Workshop\257510\Subscribed directory. There will be a matching text file (same zz0e5....... prefix with the .txt suffix that describes the gro file as being for Only Puzzles 3.
StarTheCat2003 7 May, 2020 @ 2:56am
i have done all that the file is not showing in the "Talos" folder when i subscribe
ma.hirsch  [author] 6 May, 2020 @ 9:54pm
You must have PT and RTG installed.
See above in the description.

Holidays and Additional Lasercolors must be unsubscribet.
They are both broken.

The file lasercolors.gro just copy to the talos folder.
This shold work.
StarTheCat2003 6 May, 2020 @ 12:12pm
i unsubcribed the map to and when i resubscribe the map doesn`t show and i have the holy days unsubscribed and am playing on the 2017 build and have copied the file for extra laser colours
barrymead 3 May, 2020 @ 11:10am
I now see what you mean. By "Later" you mean that you need to exit the World 1 area through the teleporter and return. (Then the blue barrier into the Tower 5 QR code area of puzzle 1 will be open without activating the timer.) Initially I thought that Later meant after a few more sigils in World 1 were acquired, but that didn't do it. (The Teleporter or a reset does it).
ma.hirsch  [author] 2 May, 2020 @ 12:59pm
When you get the sigil and return to that level later
back if the barrier is already open,
without pressing the timer.
barrymead 2 May, 2020 @ 11:41am
I noticed that on World 1 Puzzle 1, you now have to get the Tower 5 QR code while the timer is running, or you cannot go back and get it later. (Restarting the timer does not lower the blue barrier back into the QR code area as it used to). I usually solve it that way anyway, but I did notice the change.
ma.hirsch  [author] 1 May, 2020 @ 11:39pm
Big update is out:
All Worlds: Visibility sectors have been added.
World 1 & 2: A few minor repairs.
Tidied up the folder a little. Unnecessary files deleted.
The download has shrunk by about 1 MB.

You can now screw up the graphics settings! (But only on high-end computers.)
For me it now runs smoothly with the best settings. Good luck!
barrymead 16 Apr, 2020 @ 11:14am
I updated the videos in the playlist above to reflect the newest changes.
ma.hirsch  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 10:37am
Thanks, I will take care of it immediately.
If there is nothing else, I will have the next update tomorrow.
barrymead 13 Apr, 2020 @ 9:21am
Thanks to Kbogue01 for this tip. In World3 Puzzle 1 (two mines in trenches timed) you can bypass most of the puzzle by placing the connectors on the stairs as shown in this video.
https://youtu.be/fMIVuLyA0fQ There are many simple ways this can be fixed, including adding fencing material to the edge of the stairs , or moving the barrier gate between the two trenches away from the stairs.
ma.hirsch  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 10:03pm
@barymead:
Thanks for rating.
Yes. I am still working on it.
barrymead 12 Apr, 2020 @ 7:39pm
ma.hirsch: I just wanted to thank you for the amazing new content you added to Only Puzzles 3. The lake and waterfalls in World 4 are stunning, and all of the puzzles are above and beyond exemplary. I really had to think hard to solve most of them. Thanks for making this Stay at Home Easter NOT BORING!
barrymead 12 Apr, 2020 @ 11:41am
I have added World 3 and World 4 to my playlist video series for Only Puzzles 3. I may have to update the World 2 Nighttime video and the Moonbase 4 video to make them exactly match the new content, but almost all of the puzzle elements are now accruately shown in my new video playlist.
ma.hirsch  [author] 12 Apr, 2020 @ 7:31am
@barrymead:
Thanks, I thought I closed all the gaps.
barrymead 12 Apr, 2020 @ 7:26am
ma.hirsch: In world 4 there are places near the waterfall edges where you can fall out of the world to your death.
barrymead 11 Apr, 2020 @ 11:59pm
I solved all of world 4 now. Puzzle 4 stumped me for a while. It was intentionally misleading but the actual solution was not nearly what one would think. Very clever.
ma.hirsch  [author] 11 Apr, 2020 @ 11:37pm
And I thought they were all medium-weight puzzles.
Well, cracking a few tough nuts doesn't hurt.
Above all, I'm happy that it's fun.:steamhappy:
ma.hirsch  [author] 10 Apr, 2020 @ 10:41pm
@barrymead:
Thanks for the hint. Join the list.
I'm in the process of putting the finishing touches on the game.
Then it goes to porting to the new version.
If you find any more, bring it on.
barrymead 10 Apr, 2020 @ 6:51pm
ma.hirsch: I have been playing through the new version and I found one bug. The Moonbase 3 cubes can get stuck again if you take the wrong one with you to Zone 3. It was fixed on the previous version, but the bug is back.
ma.hirsch  [author] 9 Apr, 2020 @ 2:27pm
OK. The big update is here.
Two new levels have been added.
Lots of bug fixes.
The cut scenes can now be easily skipped.
I wish you lots of fun solving the puzzle
and happy easter.
ma.hirsch  [author] 22 Mar, 2020 @ 12:36am
@barrymead:
Thank you.
I'm glad that now and then someone says something, otherwise the game would not be as it is.
If everything goes smoothly, you will have a huge update with two new levels for Easter.
Until then, please be patient and continue to have fun with this version.
barrymead 21 Mar, 2020 @ 11:51am
ma.hirsch: I just wanted thank you for your top notch workmanship, and attention to detail. I never want you to think that I am unappreciative of your superb contributions. I only mentioned the invisible space ship in case you didn't know about it. I am amazed that you are able to fix as many reported things as you have. With the complexities of the editor and environment it is certainly understandable that a few quirks would not be fixable. I already knew about fast forwarding to make the animation pass faster, and you don't need to be sorry for anything. I am sorry if my bug reports seem to be nagging or in any way negative. I is my intention to be supportive and collaborative (never negative). Take Care, Barry
ma.hirsch  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 12:35am
@barrymead:
I know this bug too.
At the moment I don't know how to fix it.
Just let the film go through.
You can press the fast forward button and the film will run
through faster.
Sorry...
barrymead 20 Mar, 2020 @ 9:20pm
ma.hirsch: Here is another strange thing. I if you are in the space ship heading to or from the tower to/from the moon and you hold the mouse button to skip the animation, then the spaceship becomes invisible when you land on either the moon or back on the tower. Only the ramp is visible and you cannot interact with any of the buttons in the invisible spaceship. You can get it back with a Hold-X reset, but I thought it was weird enough to tell you about.
ma.hirsch  [author] 19 Mar, 2020 @ 10:39am
@barrymead:
I know what you mean. It is not a bug. That has with the
Time difference to do.
Start the timer when the mine is on the left behind the tower.
Stop the timer when the mine is right behind the tower
no matter how many rounds the mine has covered.
It always works!
Hope I could help with that.
barrymead 19 Mar, 2020 @ 4:52am
ma.hirsch: To clarify my previous comment. When I say "STOP" the timer, I am referring to changing the state from record to playback. (Not the third inactive state).
barrymead 19 Mar, 2020 @ 4:48am
ma.hirsch: I have noticed this bug/anomaly a couple of times, and I don't know what causes it. When using the timer in the pit of the World 2 Nighttime courtyard. When the bug is active
the mine ALWAYS blows you up immediately when you stop the timer no-matter where the mine was when you started or stopped the timer. When the bug is not-active the timer can be stopped and the mine will appear where it was when you started the timer. I have not discovered what causes the bug to be active, and haven't found any way to deactivate the bug once it starts.
barrymead 15 Mar, 2020 @ 9:05am
ma.hirsch: Thanks for the great tip. The right rock is much easier, I made the jump on the second try! :steamhappy: I hadn't tried that rock until you suggested it, because at first glance, it appears to be taller and more difficult than the other rock. I guess the right rock is a little closer and it's shape makes you less likely to slide off. Anyway it is much easier thanks.
ma.hirsch  [author] 13 Mar, 2020 @ 10:10am
@barrymead:
With the next update it will be a little easier to jump on both rocks.
It will probably take a while because there are two more levels.
Until then, take the right rock. It's a little easier.
Sorry...
barrymead 13 Mar, 2020 @ 1:17am
ma.hirsch: After more than 100 tries,I was finally able to make the jump onto that green rock on World 1 Puzzle 1. I had to place the cube in a certain gap in the rocks, and angle it at about 15 Degrees from perpendicular but I did finally make the jump. Whew! I still think that this puzzle is the hardest in the collection and a bit too hard especially in World 1.
ma.hirsch  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 9:09am
@Akstinskiy:
This game was created using an older version of Talos principle.
See above in the description.
Sorry ...
