PLEASE update this, i'm going insane over having to re-enable the debug menu

This mod is an old copy of the in-game debug menu, so doesn't get game updates. On the plus side, it'll still work if the developer decides to remove the debug menu. What this also means is that If you want the current debug menu, you can update it yourself by going to <gamedir>/data/scripts/lib and making a copy of "entitydbg.lua" and replace "debugmenu.lua" with it.

If you can't be bothered with all that, and just find the debug /run script command too complicated, get Laserzwei's Admin Toolbox. The /cheat and /cheattarget commands are handy short-cuts to it.

Do you plan on updating this at all? I love this mod!

Nex - Thanks very much. Yep, I got tired of doing the same thing! I'm glad you like it.

thx for this mod so far i had to copypaste that debug command into the console and it would disappear after jumping then i'd had to re-enable it which caused the old icon to show up again leaving me with two. this bothered me a lot.

with your mod the icon just stays no matter if i jump or fly through a gate!

thank you!

huh, fair enough. Thanks for letting me know!

@MonOrkin, you can't. This is the way the dev menu was designed by the game devs. If you need to effect a different craft, then you need to hop over to that craft. This mod merely simplifies the process so you don't have to type the console command with every new ship/station you hop into.

how does one select another vessel with the menu up, I'm locked into only affecting my own ship
OneWithTheDark 7 Apr, 2020 @ 3:46pm
so, useful, mostly making fleets with it. repeating everything about the ship is genius

@matt, I've figured out that you can use * as a wildcard for the version numbering. Who knew? :P
FuryoftheStars 1 Mar, 2020 @ 11:37am
Ah, never mind, it seems like the devs have it set so it automatically fills in that info when you upload it, anyway. I made a suggestion to remove that behavior, but not sure if they will.

Fury - Thanks. I was checking out the most recent update. I do prefer the debug menu myself. And thank you SO MUCH for the tip regarding dependency. Obviously, I've had to update all my mods every time there is a minor update with the game and even though the minor update does not affect the functionality of the mod. I am going to try this. Thx.

Sounds like an awesome idea to just use the standard debug menu.

I wonder, though, so people don't keep complaining that it's out of date/not working, in your modinfo.lua file, remove the avorion dependency, that way it'll always show white in the mod window.

Actually, it is working for me. In fact, I used to have a customized mod for this but because updates kept breaking it, I decided to simply link up to the standard debug menu.

Thx for heads up...

NOP needs updated to 31.1 to work. XwX
AkagiVoid 5 Feb, 2020 @ 6:10pm
Does this still work on Beta 31.1?

This will save a lot of tedium. Thank you!

Now all we need is ship tech builder.
