I have started to play Space Engineers again and will release a new version of this mod in the future. This workshop entry will stay dead and a new one (with a new name) will be posted. See you soon!

idk if you're still working on this, since it's been over a year since the last update. But if you are, could you consider eventually making turrets also track the target lock?

if you are willing to give the whole combat an overhaul you have with weaponcore guided weapon systems as well as a bunch of other changes cause it will completly alter the combat experience. just take note that you will not only need weaponcore for that but also weaponcore based weaponmods and you shouldnt use it together with other weaponframeworks or vanilla based weapons. the first cause they will figth another and the second cause weaponcore based weapons cant intercept vanilla based ammunitions and vise versa.

Apparently does NOT have guided missiles from the vanilla launchers.. I thought maybe this mod might actually make missiles instead of rockets Unsubbed... anyone know of an actuial mod that turns the idiotic rockets into usefull missiles? (That still works)

when i load into a world i cant get anything working with the mod and when i first join it tells be there is a error with it i have used it before and loved it can anyone help me?

@KANE On your cockpit (main cockpit), there is a "Select Target [ECSM]" action (you can drag to action toolbar). You need to add Text HUD API mod to your world else the targeting reticle will not show when you trigger that action, thus unable to tell if you lock on (target needs to be within sight for a set amount of time for it to lock).

Hello it seems unfortunately Spark of the future DLC has some conflict with this actually great mod which doesn't work anymore. Any chance to have it fixed again?

In that it disables the grey circle, the intended lead indicator from that mod, but this mod works fine

@Schwarzer_A I think that is because of how I coded my own shooting mechanismen. The reworked version I am currently working on will contain a fix for this.

This would be difficult to do but just an idea, but great weapons mod, first one that is like, balanced.

I had an idea to make the missiles less "Overpowered" or at least harder to use, so, use the same system wheels and rotors use, where you would have to "add missile" then weld it up. That would be like tier one, then you have a BIG one that could fit as many missiles in it IRL as it actully holds, as to make it so a fighter can just dish out 100 guided missiles in like, 10 secs with lots of launchers.

I found that the cooling mechanism of these missiles seems to be incompatible with Whip's Weapon Salvo Script.
When I apply that script to these missiles in order to obtain more controlled firepower, they will become unable to launch :-/
Is there a solution?

Should work. Maybe I broke something. I know that I also build something like that, with the launcher being on a subgrid and it worked fine. I will check this and try to fix it with the next big update.

so this should work ? because on the plane it works fine so it is no problem but i think it has to do witz the rotors maybe. because the mod works.. but not on this grid that ive built

Actually the launchers don't even have to look in the same direction.
But if they still don't fire then something additional has been broken with the update.

could it be that the launchers have to be on the same grid so no rotor connections. i have an tank with the missiles on the side of the turret and a remote control on topthey all three move up and down with no problem. i can lock targets The missile launchers also look in the same direction as the rc but no missiles are fired. can i send you a screenshot of the build ?

Confirmed!! unfortunately the new update did broke up the locking system ...Missiles and flares are still present tho.

The update seems to have broken the mod, doesnt work in SP or MP, no option to lock and no option to fire without lock. It worked last night, really nice mod. Brings back memorys from Arma

@JonnyCheshier there is also no missiles that gets fired, correct?
The only reasons I can imagine that you can not shoot the target are that you are out of range or the target is at an invalid altitude (which is a config setting that has to be enabled manually so I don't think thats it). If you could upload a video somewhere, showing the bug, it would be very helpful for me to figure out whats wrong.

yeah I get the locking diamonds and they turn red, then I hear the sound effects and get the missile cool down message but no damage to the target at any of the ranges I tried it at.

quick question, I have a problem whenever I fire these. For some reason I get a good lock on target, and I fire but nothing fires and no damage is done, is this a bug or am I just doing something wrong?

@|Scp| Support? Maybe. Not sure if weapon core supports completely different mods.
But this mod will probably never use weapon core itself.

WeaponCore is a fantastic mod though. Maybe I do a guided missile mod that uses weapon core someday.

@Scar der Verrückte Yes. I have not added a one turn component to the missiles so if the target is not in the targeting cone of the missile itself it will be lost. I itend to add a one turn component to the missiles so vertical launching is possible.

Okay FurtherV i think i found the issue. Could it be that it is not possible to build a VLS (Vertical Launch system) that the launcher must be at least somewhat in the direction of the enemy ? because when I tried i think i overdid myself i built a Truck with a trailer that uses a rotating camera and remote control with a script that if something comes into lock on range the camera will aoutmaticly stop and lock the target and if the target was locked it would fire a Verticaly placed missile from the launcher which in theory would then home onto the target but the only thing i got was cooling down.. Interesting. so a little note to your mod for now or in general it is only forward detection and firing for this..

@Bucket currently none of the launchers use conveyors. A special launcher that can use conveyors, similar to the reloadable rocket launcher is planned though.

Could be yeah. Otherwise I would have no clue since they work fine for me.
Try testing it without any other mod. Maybe they are the issue.

jup tested both launchers the hellfire missile looking one and the one that looks like the vanilla one with the red caps. with without ammo ar ir and radar.
nothing. ill record a clip tomorrow when i have the time.
i think it coud be that i have another guided missile script maybe they interfere with another in some stupid way.
