I can confirm this works on 1.2, due to it being a patch. Chickens reach egg-laying age(mature) in 1/3rd the vanilla time

This is very useful for how you make it. Still doesn't allow us to grow The Dark Young from call of Cthulhu though. :p

Thank you for the additional info, Reize! I'm working on a small mod for grillable meals, butter, and cheesemaking as a way to entice the player to keep livestock. So mods like this are always welcomed!

to be precise:

juvenile minAge = 0.01

adult minAge = 0.1

vanilla adult minAge is between 0.3 and 0.45 for farm animals for example, cows, alpacas, pigs and so on. Tortoise have minAge = 0.5

I did not look up all the animals, but after installing this mod all animals will have minAge = 0.1 for the adult age stage.

As far as I understand it Rimworld determines the age stage of an animal by comparing the value of "minAge" with the value set at "lifeExpectancy". All this mod does is searching the line of "minAge" and then it replaces the value there with a lower value. So growing up should still be different for each type of animal. So far I tested it on hares, boomrats and pigs. It takes hares 5 rimworld days to reach adult stage now. All animals should reach adult stage 3-5 times faster.
I guess it will work on modded animals as well, beacause they will use the same set of rules for their growing up. I guess my mod has to be loaded after the mod that adds the animals, but I have not tested it properly yet.

Does this work for modded animals or only vanilla ones? Can you give details on how quickly they grow?
