It does NOT alter the stats of the weapons.
It ust makes them craftanle, because I like it when my character crafts.
Varkthas 5 Dec, 2017 @ 7:29pm
just checking (because it was slightly confusing in the description): what does this do to the stats of the weapons made there? If i'm reading it right, it does not alter the existing stats of any "Steel" weapons made at the skyforge, but it *does* add craftable "Skyforge Steel" weapons, which have the improved stats? And both glow with the new texture?

@Setari
Glad you like it (:
Setari 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:53am
Yeah I have to agree about the Skyforge, it should be making unique looking weapons not... stronger than normal steel weapons. Nice job.
Graesholt  [author] 24 May, 2017 @ 1:40pm
@One Above Hell
Really cool that these things are still getting views and comments now and again.
Glad you like it (:
One Above Hell 19 May, 2017 @ 8:31am

Graesholt  [author] 30 Sep, 2016 @ 2:46am
@darksoul1692
Yeah, that would do it.
I'm glad it works for you, and I'm glad you enjoy the mod (:
darksoul50115 29 Sep, 2016 @ 12:23pm
yes and i figured it out i had a mod that alowwd me to smith skyforge
Graesholt  [author] 29 Sep, 2016 @ 12:12pm
@darksoul1692
Could be a bunch of things.
First thing that could cause it would be if you have any conflicting mods...
Other than that, I relly actually do not know what could be causing your issue, unless you can provide me with more information...
Do the NPCs have glowing weapons?
Have you tried this on a clean (mod-free) game?
darksoul50115 29 Sep, 2016 @ 7:58am
why doose it not glow when i hold a skyforge wepon
xillbalba 16 Oct, 2015 @ 2:13pm
great mod now i have a reason to get weapons from the skyforge
Wendingo 17 Jun, 2015 @ 2:58am
This is cool i was really disapointed when the skyforge steel weapons didnt have a effect (thanks for making the dagger temperable)
blood upon the risers. 30 May, 2015 @ 11:48am
geez sorry
Graesholt  [author] 30 May, 2015 @ 11:47am
@samuels.jerry
I am really not trying to be annoying or a douche, but I don't think I understand fully what you mean.
This mod replaces Skyforge Steel weapons only . Any mod that changes Steel weapons will be compatible, while mods which change Skyforge Steel weapons will be non-compatible.
I hope that this answers your question.
blood upon the risers. 30 May, 2015 @ 9:15am
there r mods for steel weapons to make a weaponn frm final fantasy is it compatable with weapons from mods
Graesholt  [author] 27 May, 2015 @ 5:37am
@samuels.jerr
I do not understand your question, please elaborate...
blood upon the risers. 26 May, 2015 @ 4:12pm
can u make it compatable with steel weapons from mods?
like the buster sword?
Illdouche 24 Apr, 2015 @ 9:22am
@Graesholt: Thanks for answering!
After completing two more quests I was able to create Skyforge Weapons and I got my free Skyforge weapon as well :)
About deleting the mod I've found out I didn't knew how to correctly unistall a mod. Apparantly I need to unclick it in data files as well. My bad :)
Strange about the crash issue I had, though...
Graesholt  [author] 23 Apr, 2015 @ 3:59pm
@Illdouche
You should be able to craft Skyforge Weapons after 'Take up Arms'.
I have no idea why you would be unable to...
Can you try on a new game making a b-line for the companion guild and taking that quest firt thing, just to test if it's your game or the character that has a problem?
Illdouche 23 Apr, 2015 @ 6:08am
Been doing some wiki reading and it seems that I need to complete some other quests first unlike what this mod mentions.
To recieve a skyforge weapon you need to complete the Proving Honor quest.
To be able to make skyforge weapons you need to complete the Glory of the Dead quest.
@Graesholt: Am I right in this?
Illdouche 23 Apr, 2015 @ 5:17am
Forgot to add that I can't buy any Skyforge steel weapons from Eorlund. Nor with or without the mod installed
Illdouche 23 Apr, 2015 @ 5:08am
5. All of the above is tested twice.
6. I've then unsubscribed the mod, made sure to start up Skyrim using the Play button in Steam so all mods would be updated/loaded to make sure this mod is no longer there. Then quit and start up Skyrim normal using SKSE.
7. Nothing has changed. Skyforge weapons still glow, I don't get a weapon upon completing Take Up Arms and I can't make Skyforge weapons. Well, the game doesn't crash any longer at the battle mentioned in 4.
Illdouche 23 Apr, 2015 @ 5:08am
This mod doesn't quite work for me:
1. Graphic changes as per describtion, also works in Jorrvaskr
2. After completing Take Up Arms I get no weapon from Eorlund. I haven't talked to any of the Companions (except in the start where you meet some fighting a giant) before installing this mod.
3. I can't make any Skyforge weapons even though I do have the Steel smithing perk. I've tried to enter and exit dialogue several times, all Eorlund says is Hmm.
4. Game crashes when one certain battle is about to start -> This only happens at the unmarked bandit camp outside Whiterun. Other battles work fine.

@dataDyne
A clean game would be a game without any conflicting mods, so basically a game with this as the only mod.
It is, if the most arduous, arguably the best way to find out if one is running conflicting mods (:
dataDyne ☂ 8 Jan, 2015 @ 12:23am
Clean game? You mean a new game? Or a reinstall?
Graesholt  [author] 7 Jan, 2015 @ 3:54am
@dataDyne
That sounds strange indeed.
I sounds like you could be having a conflicting mod. Or a glitch.
Have you observed the incident on a clean game?
dataDyne ☂ 7 Jan, 2015 @ 3:28am
Strange, i gave Vilkas a skyforged greatsword and it is neither glowing in inventory or on his back
This mod is great but sometimes it seems like they glow a bit too bright in a surreal manner
Graesholt  [author] 6 Jan, 2015 @ 12:38am
@chrispannell2
I am flattered that you like my mod, but at this particular point in my life I'm in a very different situation than I was only a year ago, and I do not currently have the time to make modding a priority.
That being said, the demand for a non-replacer version of this has been extremely underwhelming.
Of course you are welcome to look into making one for your own particular situation (deleting the entries for the Mace and Warhammer should not be too difficult), just remember not to re-upload anything without my permission (:
chrispannell2 5 Jan, 2015 @ 5:02pm
I was actually pretty sad to see that this does not play nice with PrivateEye's Heavy Armory mod, a mod that basically adds weapons that should be there (ie: halberds and what not that existed in morrowind). Your mod is absolutely essential imo to distinguish the difference between skyforge and regular steel by looks and I also find that mod essential to give more immersion and variety, however the addition of maces and warhammers to skyforge by that mod and by yours conflict :( I realize that I may be asking too much, but perhpas you could look into this and see if you could do anything? Perhaps as you suggested with the nonreplacer even, although I like what you did by replacing it (I had this mod before PrivateEye's and really enjoyed it).
Ravioli 13 Oct, 2014 @ 6:32pm
k thanks, i guess that was more my fault on the lunar one sorry
Graesholt  [author] 13 Oct, 2014 @ 5:32pm
@GamesDriver3
My only advise would be to re-download the mod or modify your mod queue.
As for your issue with the lunarforged weapons can be solved by downloading the associated texture pack. Please be sure to read the mod description before reporting a problem...
Ravioli 13 Oct, 2014 @ 5:12pm
i also got the lunarforged lunar weapons mod and instead of looking like they're meant to they simply glow bright white all over, ill put a picture of it up in my screenshots
Ravioli 13 Oct, 2014 @ 5:10pm
most of the weapons work but for the 1 handed sword it looks like a normal 1 handed skyforge steel sword
Graesholt  [author] 13 Oct, 2014 @ 1:58am
@GamesDriver3
Exactly how does it not work?
Does it crash?
Please elaborate on your issue...
Ravioli 12 Oct, 2014 @ 4:45pm
the mod works but not with the sword for me, anywhere i go even whith all other mods disabled it doesnt work
H.G. Sparebruser 11 Sep, 2014 @ 2:25pm
These look so great ingame! thank you so much !!
Mjorg 31 Aug, 2014 @ 12:34pm
you could add something like a filled soul gem or another magical item to the crafting recipie to make it more chalenging to forge them
FadedMemories 22 Aug, 2014 @ 10:43pm
Looks awesome! I had thought the same that Skyforge weapons should look better, and glad I found this mod!
Graesholt  [author] 18 Aug, 2014 @ 1:30pm
@Swordoath!
No problem (:
I work hard on all my stuff, and I love it when you guys love it (:
If you like glowing weapons, I have three other mods for you ;P
If not, you're out of luck because that is pretty much all I can do xD
Budge Pudge 18 Aug, 2014 @ 1:28pm
This looks pretty cool. Also, I'm glad to finally find a mod that adds Skyforge Steel Maces.
Thank you!
Tormented Feline 8 Aug, 2014 @ 1:59pm
thanks
Graesholt  [author] 8 Aug, 2014 @ 12:50pm
@Frostlynx
Your Steel Battleaxe shouldn't be.
Only Skyforge Steel.
Please read the description before posting a problem; that is the least you can do.
Tormented Feline 8 Aug, 2014 @ 12:46pm
my steel battleaxe is not glowing
Graesholt  [author] 8 Aug, 2014 @ 12:36pm
@Dairegh
It sounds cool, and I would love to, but yeah... Time ;P
But seriously, give it a go (:
It's MUCH easier than you think (:
Dairegh 8 Aug, 2014 @ 2:43am
I can totally understand that, a lack of time is a huge issue. Scrollwork, is the actual term for the embossed (carved/molded in) designs on a piece (be it stone, wood, metal, etc). It's just a fancy way of saying the cool squiggly lines/pictures. :P
Graesholt  [author] 8 Aug, 2014 @ 1:49am
@Dairegh
I would love to make everything that everyone wants (I'm not being a jerk, I REALLY would), but right now with my work and other projects, I simply don't have the time...
I have included in the FAQ the guide that taught me to make things glow, and I urge you to give it a shot, it's REALLY easy!
Also; what does 'scrollwork' mean? O.o
Dairegh 7 Aug, 2014 @ 2:10am
I don't suppose you'd be willing to make a glowy-scrollwork version of the Dragonscale armor, would you? ; )
It's my favorite armor (aside from Glass), but I can't seem to find any decent mods for it.
Graesholt  [author] 5 Aug, 2014 @ 7:08am
@blake
There is no Steel bow, so there is no Skyforge Steel bow.
I'd like there to be sometime, but no promises...
