Answer is the cardinal direction. If you drag your network from south to north (down to up), left side is west and right side is east

@REV0 Thank you for all you've shared on the workshop. I feel a bit silly asking this because my hunch is the answer is simple, but I'm just not seeing it. For the single, one-sided station tracks, how do you know which side is the platform side? Is it simply a matter of trying in one direction, then re-try in the other direction until you're able to place a stop?
