Would there be any possibility that the optimized drawing mode retains the drop shadow? It's very much better for performance but fast Tetris is very hard to play without a shadow. Unless the ghost piece costs more performance than I realize? Regardless, very nice mod, thank you so much!

if you did read the comments i made, nvm about it, tetris is just challenging to learn how to play as & the difficulty of the fight really just depends on here & against ho i'm fighting, so the only thing that i don't is the AI, what i ask is probably not gonna happen but i just wish the AI was much smarter

I love this character, I'd love to see a "Pro Mode" where damage radius is significantly nerfed, but instead gives access to SRS rotation, T-Spin Triples and the screen wipe radius could be reserved for Perfect Clears

If you're ever planning on updating this, i would suggest making the core float instead of glide to the ground, i think the gliding is whats causing it to fall off/through stages and a simple fix would be to remove gliding/falling entirely. I really think this is a great character and i wish you luck in future modding endeavors but if anybody else ever maybe wants to make an updated reupload with no clipping through the ground and perhaps some alternate "skins" instead of just colors, i would not hesitate to sub to that one

Howdy! I showed this to a friend of mine who plays a lot of Tetris and she had an idea I thought was really neat - would it be possible to make the blocks fall faster as the core takes damage? I feel like that'd be super interesting and would add a lot of pressure to avoid damage, rather than just being able to outgun the opponent by scoring Tetrises faster than they can hit you.

She also told me that the first few blocks in a game of Tetris can be pretty important, and the way RNG works in Rivals of Aether means that those first few blocks always seem to be the same from match to match. I don't know whether or not it'd be possible to artificially scramble the RNG at the beginning of each match, but it could add a bit more variety with regards to those first few critical pieces if such a thing is doable.

Either way, love the character!

the invincibility error occurs on all stages, the clipping glitch occurs on certain platform stages, for example: it's safe on Kragg's stage. but other than that great character and very unique concept

If you're using it on a custom stage it might not work properly, I haven't tested very much on custom stages.

it always goes through the ground when gliding down and inactive, this frankly makes it unfair because it's basically invincible when it's down in the void

When I switch to tetris mode my character slowly goes to the ground and then when it is hit I pop under the stage and cannot be hit. Is there a way to fix this?

It doesn't use SRS, so a DT cannon won't work, or anything that uses a TST kick for that matter,

adding to this using a formation like a dt cannon (tspin double into tspin triple) doesn't work. i assume because it knows the piece can rotate into the spot, but bugs out at that point? most spins don't work the way modern tetris does, but may be just because it's more like tetris classic. basically i'm taking a just-for-fun character and going way too technical lol

i've occasionally had problems with t-spins locking into place (instead of placing it and rotating), popping up with an error saying out of bounds. doesn't crash the game, but pauses it and forces a different move to be made, or just makes you live with a misdrop.

i think other than that, this mod is super creative and i'm so glad someone found a way to make this work!

I'm pretty sure the custom stage problem is still a bug with the custom stages, not the character.

Y'know, super smash bros is cool, but one thing it doesn't have is a playable version of Tetris.

New version is up!
- Character now starts in core mode, and the initial lineup is calculated when you switch to Tetris mode (making it more random)
- Pressing Taunt while during the countdown will put the character into "optimized drawing mode", which should help with performance
- Fixed a bug related to having pieces on the very top row

this is cool and all, but now I get to ask "Where is Puyo, Dr Mario and Columns". Imagine playing Puyo, and the board still goes on while moving, so you can set up a 5-combo, then move around the puyo core as needed

There's a glitch where custom stages do not return their dimensions properly, so the Tetris character doesn't know where the boundaries are. The Rivals team should be putting out a fix for this sometime.

Okay, I manage to find out that advance custom stages literally broke Tetris' Core and spawn it all the way up to the air and had no way to go down. Mind to fix that.

This is amazing, congratulations on making such a great mod, however compared to other modern iterations of Tetris (Tetris 99 and PPT), the piece movement kinda feels sluggish. Would it be possible to make the pieces move a bit faster?

About the piece sequence - the starting sequence is always the same, but after that it is randomized.
About SRS - I didn't plan on adding in all of the different wall kicks, but if I have extra time I might.
