Idk why but, everytime i try to mod a smoker it gives me a message that says something about a file for the smoker isn't "allowed" to be used on this server, anyone know how to solve this?

Apparently, yeah. Something to do with the skins from special infected in L4D1 areas/stages. Napalm's trick worked for most of them.

They only show up for the l4d2 maps until the mod authors update it to comply with the Last Stand. That's why hunters, tanks, witches, smokers, and boomers have this problem as there are now two models needed.

I'm having trouble with this, and all other special infected replacement mod save for charger and jockey. Even though I'm subbed and they're installed in the folder, they don't appear in-game. I don't know why. I don't have any conflicts either.

maybe when you get a chance to mod again you could make these Resistance 2 grims into common infected and use the Resistance 3 grims or even better leaches for the smoker :) am sorry to hear you don't have a pc anymore

This looks more like a model for the common infected than the smokers. It doesn't look like it has the muscle mass to pull someone in with a tongue and keep them in an intimate range without seriously damaging the infected's own body.

Went to the link, and did the verify files, it found one bad, that did the trick, thanks! I knew about that too, feel like an idiot i didnt think of it myself. BTW the monster looks great! Thanks again!

It's more then likely caused by another mod you have installed. Try rebooting your computer that may also be the issue. If all else fails use the command in this guide:

Hi, i get "server is enforcing consistency with this file: Model/infected/smoker.mdl
I tried unsubscribing, and resubscribing, didnt help. any thoughts? It looks good from the pics I see up top. I have several other smokers, but dont get this message with them. any help is appreciated.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally uploaded the other Chimera mod I was working on. The evolved version of the Grim, the Leech is now available for download on the workshop.
