When trying, unsub from rms and scenarios - they won't be deleted and still be usable for they are additional content.
Every time Steam installs new files, it doesn't care if these files are modded but overwrites them.
To get any mod back working that was overwritten like this, you have to unsub from it, delete the mods archive file from AoE\mods and verify your game cache.
This forces Steam to have another look at your game files and reload all files changed my mods, replacing them with these again.
After downloading it, the mods archive will be extracted at your next game start while the intro is playing.
I'll have to take a look at that. For I need some base images to work with.
Terrains are 'easy' to replace compared with other game objects like a mushroom one for trees (my crystal trees for example needed a lot of time and work until I found the right ones to work with).
At first I will finish my Mod Manager and a skyrim soundtrack, then I'll have a look at possible graphical conversions.
I started one changing everything beside units to an oilpainting style months ago. Was looking cool, but at some buildings using several graphics it looked a bit strange due to gaps between the parts/shadows that were a result from the effect not beeing applied to the buildings graphics as one piece.
And there was a request for cell shading terrains some time ago, but it didn't work.
But in case you have a cool idea I'll try to do it.
@Pik The Meowstic
Great you found your perfect one! :)
Glad you like it.
Ok, that makes it nearly impossible to try doing next ones in a way you would like more.^^
So enjoy gaming and good luck in finding your personally best fitting terrains! :)
@ NinjaHawkHD
No problem. :)
As far as I know they changed the elevation appearence for the HD version to this 'round' look.
There were several complaints until now for it makes it hard (sometimes even with default terrains) to recognize what elevation your troops are standing at.
I'm not sure, but I think it's a hardcoded thing.
And in case it isn't, it's definately a change in files that contain game mechanic, so it would be problematic in mp.
So I think the best option is to ask SkyLabs until they change it back.
Just in case - what kind of terrain textures would you like beside the default ones?
Glad you like it.
