well i had a very promising start years ago... i started modifying the railworks files so that the tracks can have much shaper turns & to make the overhead wires be just the electric wire

http://www.kn00tcn.net/site/tag/railworks/

but that was very hacky, i copied existing assets, trial & error edited the xml files, yadayada

the proper way to do it is to create assets from a 3d tool, import into rw, package them for others to be able to use

any kind of urban public transportations works for me - i was building a tram system at first, however, the current locomotives and their parts aren't compatible for such systems. i'm sure you've experienced the samething or at least guessed.

countryside & the landscaping tools*

the countryside is fine, not great but fine, but cities are a real hassle

trainz 12 had a city route with trams & overhead subways, but the framerate was ridiculously low

dlc is... you live with it, heck i'm planning to release as paid dlc if i get my ideas going

all i want is a tram+subway type city sim, it's gotten to the point of me trying out game development since there's nothing out there (which is strange to me, we have urban shooters, urban racers, yet the most common rail vehicle that people use around the world is missing)

I wish i had enough time to make some more city maps. I really like 'em too and as you stated, we have lots of shitty countryside and some others which force us to buy DLC. This summer, i'm planning to prepare one or two city maps once again.

maybe get more screenshots in for lurkers to see

wish we had more city routes... wish the railworks engine wasnt such a piece of crap for cities & especially underground

But I have TS2014...
Van Frietsberg  [author] 10 Jun, 2014 @ 2:45pm
It doesn't work for my friend either and the only difference we have is his game was the old edition of TS. You know it was upgraded to TS 2014 lately. Other than this, i don't see why it doesn't working. Sorry couldn't help ya :/

Sorry, I've not been able to make it work...I am missing something here? I tried via Freeroam and nothing happens. Please help...

Cool. Sounds good. I've been using a lotta pine trees in the world I am currently working on but I guess it's time give some Oak trees a try. Thanks for the info!
Van Frietsberg  [author] 23 Nov, 2013 @ 5:52am
#Apakar Viperous: No, i'm not using any modes. I just changed season from summer to spring or autumn (not sure which one) which removes the leaves. I especially used better looking trees for example Oak near etc.
DSV 23 Nov, 2013 @ 2:56am
Are you using some kinda addon for trees? I am really liking the trees you're using based on the screenshots. Especially the ones with no leaves.
