Great mod (personally), but that one menace Ravenous Maw crashes my run and make me start a new run, just to getting crashed in the new run. Does anyone know how to fix it?

The ectomorph that traps one of your heroes with an attack doesnt recieve dot damage when he uses that specific attack

I believe I have encountered a mistake with the stress component of the quirks hatred_of_ectomorphs fear_of_ectomorphs ectophobia.

The rule_type "monsterType" only procs an effect when a hero is attacking a monster.
What should be used instead is "monster_type_count_min" with 1 in the float. This will proc the effect while at least one of that type of monster is alive in battle,

Additionally ecto_haunted damage taken component should have the rule_type "attacking_monster_type" so that it only procs when attacked by an ectomorph.

This mod is great. Contrary to what others have said ectomorph spawns are just right. I'll encounter them a few times, but not too often that it feels repetitive. I like that they are a region specific (ruins) as it feels more balanced, but it probably wouldn't hurt to have them spawn in other regions at perhaps a lower spawn rate.

Not alone with this one. What's funny it crashes *just*
Like no error pop-up, no crash log or something like that, At least as far i say been searching for logs. Ghost just does that move and game just quits

This mod breaks the game. The "Swallow Your Soul" move causes the game to crash.

wonderful mod for Ghostbusters fans. Love the ectomorphs but i had a problem with them being abit too numerous in dungeons. Hopefully ill be able to see one of the other class mods one day, the Reclaimed looks cool.:steamthumbsup:

Just want to say I really love your mod. The design of the ectomorphs is so perfect. Super creepy, unique and the fat one has a disturbing cuteness. You did an amazing job.

Currently "Swallow your Soul" seems to be bugged to instantly crash the game once it connects. (which is hilarious the first time it happens) Reloading the game and letting the attack play out as normal seems to be fine however and the attack will behave as normal.

I didn't see any ectomorphs in my latest ruins quests. Are their compatibility issues when using this mod alongside other mods like Koala's creatures or Home for Lost Monsters?

mechanism of ka'thak isn't overriding my cooldown on the overcharge skill at all, just doing the blight effects, is this a problem with the mod itself?

I agree with Joe. I love the class, but barely ever face ectomorphs. Ruins are one region out of many, especialy for those who play with mod regions. Maybe ectomorphs should not appear in all regions, but a couple more would not hurt.

I am not compelled to add to my playthrough an enemy mod that limits the presence of new enemies to just one vanilla dungeon.
Ill stress it again - from you, there are and hopefully will be trinkets and heroes and maybe quirks and whatnot that revolve around Ectomorphs. Knowing that the full potential of all this stuff is only ever realized in one Region drops the perceived value of your mod.
You should simply allow the ectomorphs to appear in all base game areas, MAYBE the Crimson Court, Probably in the Endless Harvest, and, if its not too big of a favor to ask, maybe even cross mod support for Dimensional Havoc and Sunward Isles. Maybe that Pet Cemetary mod too.
The experiment that let the ectomorphs invade happened in the Ruins but they have since spread all over the estate. Yada yada. Neither is lore more important than visuals and gameplay, nor does this particular small alteration of the lore make it any worse. It would still make more than enough sense.

Let me say, awesome mod overall, but the ectomorphs are waaay too strong at low levels. I made a new run with low resolve recruits and I barely made it out with only one afflicted unit (and that's because the other one virtued luckily.) Now if they were lower chance at low levels or re-balanced it could be fine but dang that run was brutal, and not because of "no skill." I uninstalled simply because it made low level runs in the ruins not worth it due to the insane frequency of the fights and my recruits not having the tools to deal with them effectively.

Hey all, it's been a while. Just leaving a note that I have added a pair of new Beyond Mortality mods, one that adds just the Paracausalist and one that adds just the Ectomorphs. It's something that folks have been asking about for a while now, and it was pretty quick and easy to do, so I felt Halloween was an appropriate time to make it happen.

This isn't necessarily a sign that some big update to the core mode is happening - I'm still very busy these days, but I want everyone to know that I think about Beyond Mortality just about every day and I still want to keep adding to it. Hopefully one day! Happy Halloween!

Ectomorphs at level one are WAY too strong. At resolve one, it shouldn't be possible to stack horror 12 times on a hero. There are times where I can't get out of short quests without four afflicted heroes just from getting a few Ectomorph fights in a row. Even worse, the Paracausalist doesn't really seem up to snuff to counter them like he logically should.

This makes trying to actually fight a boss in the Ruins absolutely infuriating. After literal hundreds of hours playing this game, I cannot get to a boss without at least two afflicted heroes, minimum, with a Jester playing his ass off in the backrow.

Hey, i really enjoy the mod, however i think the ectomorphs show up a lot more than the skeletons do and i don't really have fun fighting them all the time, every once in a while i feel would make them a lot more fun

Welcome to the story of a science-guy, who's mistake makes our uneasy journey even worse than it is... The only reason why other heroes didn't kill him on a spot after summoning a literal army of ghost is because he's the one, who can drive the monsters back to the Underworld. Also he's got a real awesome haircut and goggles, so I think it really sets the mood...

Jokes aside, The Paracausalist is a real chad among scientists, who's carrying a nuclear reactor on his back, ready to blast ghost out of existence with power potential of Dio from "JoJo Bizarre Adventures"...

I'm almost surpriseed that he's not raming the main bosses with "Ecto 1" from Ghostbusters, because, oh boy, does this alpha-male rolling on the battlefield! Respect to creators and definitely advicing you to play!

This mod was working fine, till i start a lvl 3 quest in ruin which making my game crash at loading screen.
I have a tons of mods, it was long for me to find that it was this one the problem.
I guess it conflict with another mods that add content to crypts (here be, koala, nerub, moonlit?) or with a mod that change journals.

I precise it was working fine on lvl 1 ruins quets.

Do you have an idea?
