This works in MP 41.68, I've been using it in hosted games with my friends.

I need to look into the older version and see if I need to rebuild. Perhaps this one just needs to remove IWBUMS from its name.

There might be a conflict with some other mods but Nuri is right, definitely try the unsubscribe and resubscribe to see if that resolves it for you.

With the values I have, on a 1-hour cycle it takes 5-6 IRL seconds to finish a Tier 1 book... sooooo yeah lol

The mod still works, you MAY have to go into the LUA file and edit the value to make it 'work'
***'work' because I am not sure if it was broken that I went and made the time value multiplier smaller that now fast. It also depends on how long your daylight cycle is... I usually play on 15min so its fast without modification, but after playing with 1-hour cycle it seemed longer so I just went to the LUA and tweaked the value and now its cheaty-fast.

Is this still not working? Anyone know?

Hey, small issue with the 41.55 patch. Now reading is nearly instant regardless of the traits you take.

I'm glad you guys found this useful. I've started taking interest into the game again and will work on improving things for both b41 and b40.

I get the immersion of it taking time to read books but I don't have all day haha

I dont know who overwrites who in game, but hope this informaition might be useful.
PS In my case, I replaced the file in ExtraSkillsSystem with yours. Everything works without errors)

works for 41.45 without edits unless you have another mod change the ISReadABook.lua file

didn't work for me on 41.45, I was able to get it working by wrapping the contents of the mod inside
Events.OnGameBoot.Add(function()
-- mod definition, btw at this point you can override ISReadABook:new and it will be fine, no need for any extras

It doesn't feel like I am reading any faster. Same speed of 1 page per ~2 seconds

It's drastically reduced. Takes about 12 seconds to read a book, or a minute with the slow reader perk.

Sounds like a good idea, but how much did you cut down reading time? Just wanna know so I don't get anything unbalanced.
