Only use this mod (well, the vanilla only version) to get third rail tracks to work. I don't understand the point of the ballast only "track" being included here. Seems like something that should be its own mod

To prevent steam from overwriting your changes, it's recommend to copy the mod contents to the local mods folder. */steam/user data/USERID/1066780/local/mods/APT_1

You can simply delete the .lua files for the tracks you don't want.
As long as none of those specific tracks have been placed, it's save game safe.

Iirc there are 12 999km tracks.

This is an excellent track pack! Because of the 999k version, however, using the color-coded speed overview is pretty useless; it tips the scale. I don't use these tracks; if I wanted to remove them for personal use (or "disuse" in this case) what part of the mod lua or con file should I edit, and is it safe to do so?

Turned off C-API2 in a savegame and brought up the station configuration menu a couple times. Eventually the same internal error came up.

C-API2 is most likely at fault.

Which tracks in particular?
Was the station built after the June patch?
Are you using C-API2? And the APT C-API2 submods?


As far as I'm concerned this internal error is a UG bug.
They implemented a script to auto-generate station modules but didn't put any protections or controls in place to avoid conflicts or dud generations.

Whenever I configure a station, the mod tracks give me an "internal error". Otherwise it works fine.

Do you mean that when selecting the Concrete 100k tracks for example, you get just ballast?
If so, what speed does it say when you bring up the track speed overlay?

Also does it work by itself in a new game?

being obviously ignorant as well as in my 70's I am not sure what to do with these, all I get is a bed of ballast ....... Help

New: Wireless track without over head wire.
New: Ballast only track + wireless version.

You can remove the .mdl files for the wood/concrete tracks.
They're in */steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1066780/1963261851/res/config/track/ .

I want to still use this assest but the problem is that you get the concrete and wood tracks ontop, could you remove them and make them a seperate assest?

Yes. Change the mast model to something like "cable_isolator.mdl".

Could this pack also include no catenarie (with only the wires) versions of the wooden and concrete tracks? I would like to mantain control of the speeds but I would to like to place catenarie manually with assets.

I'd like to but not as of yet unfortunately.
C-API2 is not stable or even released for Linux so I can't test any support for it.
When there is a release, I'll add whatever support is needed.

Can these be used with station tracks? I tried using CommonAPI but I've got no single clue how to use that modular rail adapter thing, but some other dude said it could be done with the J-Slab tracks. I'm just wondering if you've included them as station track modules before I download this.

I have no modelling skills so it's unlikely this mod will have any in of itself.
However I plan on supporting most rail mods that get uploaded in the future.
