I guess so. Sorry man.
You could also install it manually by cracking open the .vpk file with a .vpk tool and overriding the texture in the game files, but that's up to you dude.

I dont have any conflicting mods, I guess the mod is just too old

This mod is three years old, it may not even work anymore.
Check if you have any HD mods or anything like that installed. Anything that modifies Ellis in any way. Things may be conflicting.
