I have been waiting for more stability to the game before I dig in and see where this fits. With so many changes to pops, I would be surprised if this still works.

I have updated mod to run on 3.14. I removed a bunch of things where vanilla seems to have taken care of the same feature (changes to traditions & allowing machine assimilation). I also reduced the cost of the traits. Any feedback/problems found, please let me know.

Just want to chime in, this does work on the current version with standard, non-MA dlc, machine empires though you might have some issues with the base synthetic age ascension perk if you're using extra tradition tree slots - The perk has a check for remaining tradition slots, but this check is based on the vanilla amount and is seemingly hardcoded. As long as you take the perk before picking tree 6 you'll be fine.

After you finish synthetics, you get the option to take this ascension perk, and from there it works as before - you get species trait points, picks, and new traits. I have left the assimilation of robot species in for now until I have more experience with the new assimilation.

@Jimmy thanks for pointing this out. The custom tech was checking conditioned to be hidden if you already had the standard tech. In your situation, you probably had neither tech yet. I have altered the condition to be based on ascension perk, which should remove the duplicate appearance. If you already have the tech in your game, this won't change anything, but next game it will be better.

At the start of each year, if that policy is active, it will convert a number of foreign species on each world to your primary species. It does a range of pops per world, so it takes a while. But if you watch a world before and after the year flips, or just check your empire pops over that period, you will see the numbers shift - until eventually - all pops are your empire species.

Still works. I don't know of any changes in 3.3 that would reduce the need for this mod. At least, I still use it myself and wouldn't want to not have it.

It looks like using this mod removed the Robot Assembly Plants from the game for some reason. Went through all my mods to confirm its this one, including a fresh launch with only this mod and starting with a machine species to verify.

There is a bug in this mod that conflicts with the new Gene trooper origin, the clone vats buildings are removed or replaced (plus you cannot build them) leaving you with a declining population.
I have tested this with only this mod enabled and got the same result as my normal mod list.

Love the mod keep up the good work

Awesome, thank you! I really appreciate the work you put into this mod as it allows machine empires, and now maybe synth empires, to have some of the versatility of the bio ascension. Thanks for getting back to me and thanks for making this mod.

@Bumbus Hmm. I mean, when I wrote this, I didn't want that. But then someone asked (maybe you) and now I do it all the time. So, yes, I will think about adding support for that directly in here. I might reach out to the other author first though, don't want to duplicate/steal another mod.

Hey, so I was wondering that since mods like A True Synthetic Age are seemingly abandoned, would it be too much work to add support for synthetically ascended empires to pick up synthetic age? If it is, than I understand and hope when you see this you're having a good day!

I think it should be working now and updated to Nemesis. I could not find why the perk wouldn't show, but rewriting the offending section made the perk appear again. Since I don't know why it broke in the first place, I am skeptical, but hopeful.

Hey, think might have found a bug. The mod works, but the ascension perk doesn't appear in the list. I can add it through cheats, but it doesn't appear before or after taking Synthetic Age. Love the mod, thanks for making it!

it sais terraforming speed in the tooltip but on actually trying to terraform the modifier is not present. however when hovering the experience bar it shows extra +25% leader experience.
So i thought perhaps the tooltip was just misslabeled but it is also possible that I made a mistake or had a conflicting mod active. my apologies if this is false alarm

Rule traits should auto acquire once you update your species, and new recruits should already have them as well.

@Gwazi Magnum, I checked it out and you were entirely correct. I was not awarding any trait points to ROBOT species. That is now corrected. Thank you for pointing it out :-).

@Tears Sorry I didn't reply sooner, life got busy. I hadn't done the research, no. But that wasn't where the bug was for me. The bug was I didn't even get the +4 trait points from the Ascension perk.

@Gwazi Magnum, I tested with "A True Synthetic Age" mod, did the research to learn the new traits, and was able to apply the new traits to my species.
