Is it this mod that adds a specific variant of Drain Vitality for him to use? Because I've been getting the words to a 'Durnehviir's Drain Vitality' shout from Marked For Death word walls since I installed this mod.
guardian1368 7. maj 2020 kl. 20:23
he is kinda weak still
RustedCutlass717 2. jan. 2018 kl. 3:47
I usually just suummon him for the hell of it. Having him flyin' about slayin the bandits I can't reach or shoot is quite useful. Besides, the sight of a decomposing dragon with mid-skin-sloughing-off wings and exposed sterum would probablly freak out them bandits. So yeah, Durnehviir's my ultimate homie. (Also, You can summon him in Apocrypha and ride him in Skyrim. Yeah, baby!)
Gunchap Red 10. nov. 2017 kl. 12:59
Durnehviir is already super powerful, i don't really see a reason to make him even more powerful other than to make him overpowered.
lupus_hegemonia 1. dec. 2016 kl. 8:43
Can you, author, tell me what this mod does?
I've finished the main "Dwanguard" DLC, I killed the Vampire Lord (Serana's father), and obviously I went to "Soul Cairn" and found the Elder Scroll and set free this dragon - I already swan him during battle in Skyrim.

So... what your mod does with him?
Monarch Laciel 7. juni 2016 kl. 3:09
Will he still teach you Soul Rip or whatever it's called?
Deven 6. juli 2015 kl. 6:11
Well I usually use him against a stronghold of enimies, and he usually just kills them all with one shot, so maybe thats why, the battles dont last long with him out ^^
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 2. juli 2015 kl. 14:50
The one where he summons the skeleton dudes? It still works in my game, maybe you're just not getting lucky, the AI randomly decides what shouts he'll do.

Try either spawning a bunch of enemies or a dragon with a lot of health so the fight goes on long enough to give him time to use it, fights in the vanilla game are pretty small so if it's just like 3 bandits chances are he'll just oneshot them and fly away.
Deven 2. juli 2015 kl. 4:37
I have a slight problem with the mod, he does the drain vitality just fine but he doesnt use the sould cairn shout anymore at all, is this a glitch?
Jenny 11. maj 2015 kl. 19:26
I wish Durnehviir is free from the soul cairn because I feel bad for Durnehviir, he is trapped in soul cairn . is there a mod that has a quest for him so he came live in tamrial forever.
jrm5465 15. apr. 2015 kl. 6:29
Much better Durnehviir Thanks for making the mod...Great job :)

Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 13. aug. 2014 kl. 22:21
"Peace Fire Sky" seems more in the territory of "Aloha" to me.
ALpal5213 13. aug. 2014 kl. 21:20
Drem yol lok should be at the beginning because it means greetings. just saying.
sleeper of wemen 3. aug. 2014 kl. 7:34
ah thx gilga :*
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 2. aug. 2014 kl. 11:35
Does your guy say "Dur...neh-" and then abruptly stop with a little sound effect and red cursor flash? Because that means you're trying to summon him to an area where he won't fit. The shout works like a conjuration spell, so you have to be pointing your crosshair at an area of ground that's close to you and also open/flat enough to fit a dragon.
sleeper of wemen 2. aug. 2014 kl. 7:08
doesent *
sleeper of wemen 2. aug. 2014 kl. 7:08

Luthien 29. juli 2014 kl. 9:01
thanks for the advice! ill let you know when i figure it out!
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 29. juli 2014 kl. 8:53
Yeah, next I was going to recommend you try summoning Durn with my mod disabled and see if the problem persists. Looks like you're likely going to have to go through the extremely shitty process of disabling all your mods one at a time until you find the culprit. Make a hard save before you do any of it so once you find it you can reload with only that one disabled and aren't putting your game through the stress of having a record of all its mods being turned off then back on.
Luthien 29. juli 2014 kl. 8:27
hmm.... so ive found that im having the same problem with the spectral assasin... it seems to me any summon that isnt a conjuration spell wont work, so it's clearly not just shouts or dragons....
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 28. juli 2014 kl. 10:16
Huh, I've never had that happen to someone before. Are you using any other dragon mods, texture replacers, maybe mods that affect shouts? My mod does alter the magic effect that triggers his summon so he stays around three times as long as vanilla, so if the default shout that summoned him was altered by a different mod then that could possibly be causing an issue? In any case make sure this mod is below any others that modify dragons or spells in your load order, as the only things it makes changes to are directly related to Durnehviir and the skeletons he summons.
Luthien 28. juli 2014 kl. 3:49
yeah i am, and the shout has the full cooldown, thats why i cant figure it out.
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 27. juli 2014 kl. 21:02
Make sure you are pointing at an open area of ground that's both close to you and big enough for him to appear. The game treats his shout like a conjuration spell, so if you aren't pointing at an area where it's possible for him to appear then the shout won't go off and your crosshair will flash red.
Luthien 27. juli 2014 kl. 20:48
hey, i love the idea of this mod, but whenever i try shouting nothing happens.... any possible mdos that may conflict? Or did you change the way he appears?
Arthur cat-boy Morgan 27. juni 2014 kl. 7:53
guess which of skyrims citys will be getting a visit from many not so lively travelers :falkwreath:

is this mod to fix a balance of poer issue of is this just a overkill mod or game breaker meaning will it be balanced or will it make him more powerful that his foes or enemys? I have to ask because i dont mind balancing out but i do mind easy kills ..... being god like in a game is utterly boring
Dragon Protector 29. jan. 2014 kl. 13:47
thx
Taz 23. jan. 2014 kl. 8:53
Ok thanks
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 23. jan. 2014 kl. 8:27
Nope, the battle in Soul Cairn is not affected by this mod in any way. He has two separate versions in the Creation Kit, the one that appears in Soul Cairn and the one you can summon to Tamriel. I only made changes to the summoned version.
Taz 23. jan. 2014 kl. 6:47
*Defeat*
Taz 23. jan. 2014 kl. 6:46
By the way will this make him hard to kill in soul cairn?
Nohbodie 18. jan. 2014 kl. 8:15
this mod looks awesome!im gona go try it now
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2014 kl. 16:22
What do you mean by not seeming to work? If it's the shout from my mod still being in your shouts list I guess the unofficial patch maybe wouldn't be able to automatically remove it since it's not the default bugged DV shout anymore. Try using the console command I posted earlier.
Pyros 6. jan. 2014 kl. 15:37
Thank you, I have also intalled them all, put them in the suggested order using the Nexus Mod Manager, but for some reason they don't seem to work.
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2014 kl. 15:03
Ah yes, I had forgotten entirely about that! That bug is actually fixed by the Unofficial Dawnguard Patch [www.nexusmods.com] and the armor-lowering bug from MfD is fixed by the Unofficial Skyrim Patch [www.nexusmods.com]. I recommend you install them both as they fix a lot of other bugs as well, and also any of the other relevant unofficial patches for DLCs you have linked in their descriptions.
Pyros 6. jan. 2014 kl. 13:04
Thank you, I'll consider it (it is very overpowered!). Anyway, I found out that this is due to a bug linked to the Drain Vitality and Marked for Death shouts (http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Marked_For_Death) . The odd thing is that I remember I used to have two Drain Vitality shouts, but now the extra one has changed its name to Durnevhiir's DV. Reading that entry I was also sad to realize that using MfD (and probably the extra DV) lowers the armor on followers permanently. Now I understand why they are always on their knees in fights...
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2014 kl. 11:41
Ok I just looked at the .esp in the CK and I don't see any way that it could be automatically added to the player or anything different about it than the other versions of dragon DV shouts.

At any rate though, to get rid of it you should be able to just go into the console and type help durn which will turn up a bunch of stuff related to Durnehviir. The SHOU entry called Durnehviir's Drain Vitality should be one of the last ones. You'll see an 8-digit item ID next to it in parentheses. Then just type player.removeshout XXXXXXXX with the ID in place of the x's and it will take the shout off your list.
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2014 kl. 11:27
Wait really? That's really strange. It doesn't show up in my game and I've never had anyone else mention that. Did you use any console commands to unlock shouts, or have any other mods that affect the way shouts get added to the player, i.e. not by learning them at word walls?
Pyros 6. jan. 2014 kl. 10:25
In the game I am playing, I have two distinct dragonshouts: one is the regular Drain Vitality, another one is Durnehviir's Drain Vitality, which is way more powerful.
Pyros 6. jan. 2014 kl. 9:47
I meant is it this mod that adds the dragonshout "Durnehviir's Drain Vitality" among the shouts the player can use (even without summoning the dragon).
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 6. jan. 2014 kl. 9:32
Yeah, I gave Durnehviir his own unique DV shout. He previously just used the one enemy dragons from Dawnguard have, which since it's balanced to be used against the player doesn't do a whole lot against the more powerful enemies. The one he has with this mod is a lot stronger, but it also means that the DV shout enemy dragons have is unchanged and won't kill you in one hit when you're fighting them (also he does not have this superpowered DV shout when you have to fight him in Soul Cairn, only afterwards whenever you summon him).
Pyros 6. jan. 2014 kl. 7:51
I installed this mod a long time ago and completely forgot about it, then I checked this page and realized why Durnehviir is so overpowered! Is it also with this mod that the dragonshout "Durnehviir's Drain Vitality" is added? I can't find it on the wiki amongst the list of dragonshouts.
Shrimp 21. dec. 2013 kl. 15:12
Alright, I can do it know. I realize now that summoning Durn counts as conjuration magic so it's all in the aiming. Thanks for the help, this mod is really useful. So is Ultimate Odahviing.
Gilgamesh  [ophavsmand] 21. dec. 2013 kl. 10:57
Summoning Durn can be a little finnicky. You need to be aiming at a section of ground where it's possible for a dragon to land. So it needs to be relatively flat, not an enclosed space near any buildings, etc. Find a nice open area like the plains of Whiterun and test it there.
Shrimp 21. dec. 2013 kl. 9:42
I can't summon him. I uninstalled the mod and I could. I can even summon Ultimate Odahviing. I can only get un to Dur-neh before the shout stops.
Procyon Dei 12. dec. 2013 kl. 16:30
cool
