hey dev lad, ye think ye'll ever re-update this mod to work with warfighter? if not that's fine, but it'd be quite nice. still love this mod 3 years later

I need a mod that enables the engineers to build the mortars but the mobile ones not the stationary ones, and make it compatible with war fighters

If it were me, I would make all defensive weapons .50 caliber MG. I would put away the grenade launchers. I don't know if you've played Men of War, the ancestor of Call to Arms. In that game, soldiers could take out and use the .50 calibers on the jeeps. They removed that mechanic in Call to Arms. You can bring back those .50 Calibers as defensive MG :)

MrThirty thank you for your efforts. Mod gerçekten çok kullanışlı ve güzel. Tek sıkıntısı, 3 lü defans gun yerleştirdiğimizde, bir tanesi "bomba atar" oluyor. Onu seçmeli yapma şansımız olsa güzel olurdu. Bomba atarın mermisi çabuk bitiyor ve hasarı yüksek olduğu için rekabeti biraz öldürüyor.

Cool mod.

Could you maybe make another version of the mod where we can just build emplacements manually so that we can design the points of defense of our own? It would largely solve the issue with the fortifications only working well on flat areas.

@Theiceking1996 You need to ask creators of mod to do modifications. I cannot support modifications for all other people since it is simply too much to follow and know when and what to change.

@WorldPeace IS possible:
You have to select engineers and rightclick on those areas, then the engineers will start building the structures, but keep in mind that there are multiple "stages" of defenses, so you can rightclick the shield area several times while holding shift to make your engineers start upgrading them after they finished building the first stage.

is there any way to release a half version of this, so i can still use tank traps? love this mod but it effectively eliminates my ability to make a line of tank stopping walls

I agree that build times are rather fast :) I do not know however how to solve that easily without angering any other players of this mod. I also sometimes wished to speed up engineer repairs, since you are stuck with watching them do same animation for at least a minute.

I really like this MOD , I wish it was slower to build it's way too fast right now and the vehicle barrier is just too big when you construct all of it. This should be something you can do in game :steamthumbsup:

when i enable the mod when i use a save the engineers cant build anything at all and its like they have none to build or been used up

Hey man I know it’s been a minute since we last spoke, but I got to thinking about something. Would it be possible to either modify one of the existing heavy fortifications or replace one with an ATGM emplacement? I know I had suggested putting mobile ATGMs in the Cheat Menu spawn, but that didn’t work since every faction doesn’t have a mobile ATGM. They all do, however, have a static ATGM. Would that be something you could edit in your next update of the mod?

how do you place sandbags as well? because your fortifications has covered up the previous ones such as tank traps and barriers which are good ones, or am i unable to use those any longer?

@Rogal_Dorn40K Thank you for finding bug! I think you are first one that noticed that Germans somehow got things not working. I've updated mod and now you can enjoy German turrets with MG3.

I did find something else out now that I figured out how to get the mod working properly. I noticed that the German MG defense and Firing Line defense structures don't add MGs to places where the US would get like 50 Cals or the Russians would get DSHKs. On the Firing Line you'll get the Grenade Launcher as the Germans, but that's it. Maybe we could see something like the 7.62 MG3s or a couple fifty cals placed there for them the next time the mod is updated? :)

@MrThirtyOddSix Okay I'll try reinstalling and see if that helps. Also does it work on Version 1.228? Workshop said it was up to date until version 1.250 but I just wanted to make sure.

@Rogal_Dorn40K Engineers should be able to build small and big HESCO units, tall concrete barriers in addition to upgradable structures you see in screenshots for this mod. Engineers should also have new icons for buildable structures. So if you don't see these you would need to see if mod did not install properly or you have another mod that overwrites engineer's skills.

So I was intrigued by this mod, but all I see right now is that the squad leaders have the same build options as my engineers. Also, I was hoping that I could dig hull down positions for my tanks, but I didn't see that as an option for my engineers. Finally, I am wondering what game modes the encampments are used in? I can't seem to build them in the Conquest or Single Player missions. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

@Zaten Check updated version. What I have right now is squad leaders can build old engineers encampments. Tier of squad leader matters,since higher tiers have more points and ability to build all vs some encampments.

@Zaten It is possible. What I can do is add standard fortifications that engineers were using to squad leader menus. That should at least even out the need you are having.

this mod is great, and i love it, but out of curiosity i must ask if it's possible for you to make it where squad leaders can just like- place down regular sandbags? it's a nice mod, and i love the fortifications, but i also don't love how i can't set up simple sandbag walls anymore

i wouldn't be surprised if this weren't possible due to how the UI works, so if it isn't then just let me know and i'll be fine c:
but if it is, i'd be very thankful if you could see what you could do <3

great mod though, 100%, very good for making strong, interesting defenses :D

ohhhhhh The thought crossed my mind but I thought myself wrong because they had numbers on the end of the tga names. Thanks so much for the help and the mod! Your mod has allowed me to do one of the things I always wanted to!

For icons, you have three of them, they all start with particular name, but will have suffix of _00, _01 and _2 From what I remember _00 is fresh icon when it is not hovered with mouse. _01 is when hover is performed. _02 is either when mouse is clicked or when resources to build are not available.

Ok, apologies. I should have made this more clear. I actually did that, the labels are working fine. I meant to talk about the thumbnails you have for the buttons; the actual stuff that's in the button. I made some tga's of identical resolution and size to yours but they haven't seemed to show up, except for one that is greyed out and unclickable. They are in the same folder relative to yours.

@Kowalski For labels, please see folder for path 'localizations/default/interface/text/modHeavyFortifications.pot'
There you will find 'msgctxt' which would correspond to icon names described in 'resource/properties/modHeavyFortification.inc'

Basically match icon name for that .pot file where it begins with 'action' word. Same name is used for icon files in in 'resource/interface/scene/panel_control/'

Hi, I am trying to figure out how to add abilities and am using your mod as a guide. It was really useful and you taught me a lot. However, I have had one thing that I cannot figure out; How did you manage to make the buttons show the labels you made for them in the control panel? I have looked through your mod up and down and cant find anything on it.

Right now, the icons are all the standard "two gears" icon that's from vanilla. I didn't set them like that, they just are.

Any help would be appreciated!
