@mongolteiko: Do you have https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1927330004 active as well? --> deactivate and unsubscribe from LINX' mod.
mongolteiko 12 Mar, 2023 @ 8:40am
It's funny because deleting the mod loaded the problem map ok [an old map of mine] BUT I played ok with a more recent map with your mod on? lol
mongolteiko 12 Mar, 2023 @ 8:37am
Still crashed. Ok thanks.
Laurent  [author] 12 Mar, 2023 @ 8:26am
@Mongolteiko : Try to unsubscribe and subscribe again to this mod. It should load the very latest version of the mod which is compatible with both game version. I play with latest game update too and this mod on..

My game crashed today to citing this mod.
I have the up-to-dtae game version with the free and paid dlc's attached.
Laurent  [author] 12 Mar, 2023 @ 3:14am
If I'm not mistaken, the new uploaded version should also work with previous version.
Juniperberries 11 Mar, 2023 @ 12:06pm
Oh, is the problem my game version? I didn't know, I thought I was automatically brought up to date. I'll just update my game, thank you for your response!
Laurent  [author] 11 Mar, 2023 @ 1:03am
@Dog : the mod only works with the updated version as the color variable name has changed. I'm looking for any solution to keep it compatible with previous game version but I'm not sure how and if I can do that.
Juniperberries 10 Mar, 2023 @ 10:02pm
My game crashes with this mod, immediately after clicking "load game". https://pastebin.com/1nWce81p
Biggie G 10 Mar, 2023 @ 2:44pm
Oh wow! Thank you!
Laurent  [author] 10 Mar, 2023 @ 1:24pm
@Biggle G : I just updated the mod
Biggie G 9 Mar, 2023 @ 10:42am
With the new update unfortunately the mod doesn't works...
KrisG 27 Jun, 2022 @ 10:22am
a7x492, you're absolutely the worst kind of people...
Biggie G 21 Mar, 2022 @ 12:17pm
@a7x492 What's the solution? I don't get it... :(
a7492 23 Jan, 2022 @ 7:22am
nevermind figured it out
a7492 23 Jan, 2022 @ 7:20am
How to you install/enable this? I tried subscribing, but it still doesn't show up in my mods list when loading or starting a new game and my RCI colors have not changed
b.manoxin 6 Mar, 2021 @ 7:39am
А у меня не работает!!!(((
Laurent  [author] 6 Aug, 2020 @ 6:19am
@DNA Maniac : I tried but so far, I didn't find any solution.
DNA Maniac 5 Aug, 2020 @ 3:03am
white overlay is really a deal breaker for me. Can you do something about it as well?
西北酱牛肉 16 Jun, 2020 @ 5:46am
csl's RIC color
nice!
Mark 8 Apr, 2020 @ 7:09am
Thanks very much for this. I'm suprised ther developers didn't think of this for people who are colour blind.
Exeed 1 Apr, 2020 @ 4:46pm
cool different colors for each need thank you :)
(F.S).Moriarty 25 Mar, 2020 @ 1:08am
Thank you. It was much better to see which areas are covered by stations in TPF 1. No idea why they had to mess it up in TPF 2. The new white background is aweful.
SPQR 17 Mar, 2020 @ 2:08am
I spent a couple of weeks digging around to deal with the while background (which has been my main reason for not playing the game at all and right now, IFAICS there's no way to change it beyond decompiling and building an injector (which is not so much above my pay grade as above what I can do when I'm not getting paid ). In the mean time, this mod improves the contrast balance, and effing around with the gamma settings on your graphics card (to make the whole game redder) can help a lot if the rapid colour switches are giving you a headache.

Avoid going out, folks, by playing TF. Stay sane!
Skraby 8 Mar, 2020 @ 9:20pm
thank god someone finally made this! I've been asking for this for years!
Dell Conagher 8 Mar, 2020 @ 1:08pm
@Zorg That is the stock background colour of the game. Blame the devs and not @Laurent if that's irritating your own eyes.
Laurent  [author] 8 Mar, 2020 @ 12:57pm
@Zorg : I already tried but without success
Zorg 8 Mar, 2020 @ 7:26am
Could you remove the WHITE background color? This color is harmful to the eyes.
Laurent  [author] 24 Jan, 2020 @ 9:43am
@spriter : as soon as you selected it for your new or save game in the mods list.
Laurent  [author] 24 Jan, 2020 @ 9:36am
@spriter : hmm, no, it should work right off the bat
Spinix 23 Jan, 2020 @ 6:56pm
Should I specify the loading order?
I applied a mod but it doesn't appear in-game.
Laurent  [author] 21 Jan, 2020 @ 8:07am
@tylergrey : did you try the settings I gave to pdguru a few comments below ?
hhlewinski 21 Jan, 2020 @ 12:17am
Danke !!!
tylergrey 20 Jan, 2020 @ 3:12pm
This is definitely an improvment, but could a Colourblind version be made of this that uses Red, Green, and Blue for Industry, Res, and Commercial, as I find the colours very difficult to tell with my Protanopia.
Starbucaneer 20 Jan, 2020 @ 1:18pm
Ah I wondered if this was moddable. Thanks very much for creating and sharing :cleancake:
Eisenbahnfotografie_Hessen 20 Jan, 2020 @ 3:53am
this is a nice mod :) :steamhappy::steammocking::steamhappy:
MichionSim 20 Jan, 2020 @ 1:00am
einfach genial danke besser als in orginal :winter2019happyyul:
Laurent  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 10:35pm
@industrialcomplex : thanks for the info. I might give it another sight then.
industrialcomplex 19 Jan, 2020 @ 2:17pm
@Laurent If the line manager is activated first then deactivated after the RCI layer the white overlay is removed. Not sure if it is possible to emulate that in code.
Pdguru 19 Jan, 2020 @ 8:59am
Perfect! Thank you!
Laurent  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 8:22am
@PdGuru : You can actully try it. Just go to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1066780\1972187381\ and edit the mod.lua file replacing the original 3 lines with
{ { .772, .662, .621, 1.0 }, { .8, .2, .0, 1.0 }, },
{ { .656, .763, .813, 1.0 }, { .0, .39, .784, 1.0 }, },
{ { .866, .840, .692, 1.0 }, { .784, .78, .0, 1.0 }, }
Pdguru 19 Jan, 2020 @ 8:03am
This helps a bit by for colorblind folks like me, industrial and residential colors are very similar, especially when the shades change. Can the three areas be changed to say blue, red and yellow?
Laurent  [author] 19 Jan, 2020 @ 6:03am
@Rubven : I did some tests today but I couldn't change the white "overlay". What I suspect is that it's not an overlay but just an untextured mode and thus we might not be able to get the texture back.
RubVen 18 Jan, 2020 @ 7:50pm
Thank you. Could it be possible to remove the white overlay?
It makes is very hard to play with the RCI colors turned on, like we could in TF1.
conrail4ever 18 Jan, 2020 @ 5:32pm
This was much needed, thank you.
