Hello! i have a bug on EXPLORER II, when I use any periscope (guns or the one the captain has) then I get a message on the bottom right about the power of the periscope, it interferes with the fact that it is large and you can’t shoot through it (when you click on the text the gun doesn’t fire), is there any way to remove this? I tried to change the wiring, but it didn't work

i just want to say how much i appreciate this sub after using others, omg!

its so rare to find one thats actually balanced, with an author who understands a perfect sub is a boring sub. the explorer has large issues, but they arent stupid deliberate issues like vanilla subs have, like having a reactor that eats fuel rods like popcorn or just bursts into flames sometimes or terribly placed turrets.

the explorer has paper thin armor and internally is designed such that it sinks comically easy, and repairing the drone is a hassle after attacks that tends to mean someones outside the sub if something happens. but the sub is just so generally fun and simple to use without ridiculous op stuff in it. once youve replaced the silly chaingun with a more appropriate coilgun the tiny drone is a blast for the captain to go exploring with the crew and blow open icebergs

How do you disconnect the drone from the ship? Our crew have been scratching our heads at how to. Tried using the captains periscope switch but no joy

How does one operate the hard point turret at the top? Put a flak there but I cannot find the periscope. Other than that it has been a great sub we have been running our campaign on. Any help would be appreciated!

Ships are great. A bit too great actually if you ask me (The cost in the campaign for the Tier 2 should be a minimum of 15k, players should not be able to get such ship from the start of the campaign)

Anyway, I'm here to report some server desync issue. It's supposed to be simply "two ship" but it changes how the LUA server behave. I have a ton of mods, but this one in particular provoke desync (especially with other wrecks from other mods or stations)

Right now on my save, no matter where I put this mod, it desync me and everybody else in every wrecks

True but... Yeah every ship need a downside haha I made a own explorer tier 3 for me xD with a second big weapon on the bot xD and a second airlock at the down side xD

the only downside of the explorer is it's painful ascend and descend speeds

@Madara23Q- Yeah its a very handsome ship. I think the only weakness is that it doesn't have top hull protection for Gunnery like some other models.

I found the perfect ship layout for me but its way overpowered. I think it may only work with Neurotrauma also. Not sure. Its called (Neurotrauma-Dugong++)

It has top and bottom hull protection for Gunnery, partial top coverage. Very straight forward layout though. I need to find something like that but way less powerful.

@Madara23Q- The tier 1 just looks a bit too advanced for a starter ship though. 4 guns, drone and fancy modules. It looks very nice though. I'm new to the game so my perception may be off lol.

I do hope this mod will get an update.

Have to say: both variant 1 and 2 are absolute bangers.
The only huge problem is the fact that upon installing additional 5th turret on the front of the sub, there is no periscope point for it to be operated and it just sits there.

Other then that, the subs are great! :cozybethesda:

Think that the new update broke ship, AI can't path through gunnery. Any leaks etc they will just sit there and die

Hey every one! I've been taking notes about the problems you all reported since the last update.

Thank you who reported the problems and you who gave a chance to those, now old, submarines.

I was waiting for the release of the 1.0 version to begging working on the fixes and modification. Unfortunately, I only have time to play games on the weekends, but I'll work to update the submarines as soon as possible.

The Railgun works, but the projectiles explode on the hull when fired, I have this bug happen with explosive harpoons (Explodes in the players hands, instead of the targeted person/creature) as well, can anyone tell me if this is a fault of another mod, or is this a running issue with the base game itself?

i agree the turret does not appear to be connected in the editor the green cables go to the periscope that control the search lights but are not connected... at least in my editor

I installed a 5th turret on the hard point to explorer 1. The loader spawned in, the turret is present, but there is no periscope. Commanding a bot to use said turret they mount the top right turret's periscope but never use the new gun. I don't see any button like gibby commented below,but even then I would think the ai would know how to use it. Any help?

i just discovered that there's an button on the periscope that controls that cameras press it and you can switch into the empty hardspot on the explorer 2 ( my dumbass didn't notice the bright button lmao ) love this ship its amazing a bit to fast tho.

There is no way to recharge the drone externally via vanilla means. But there is/was some mods that added in craft/place able reactors, also EK utility+shipyards "don't remember witch one exactly" adds in ship batteries that usually hold a charge that are able to be crafted and place.

Is there anyway to recharge the drone externally. I've had it run out of battery just before I'm able to dock it in it's spot and end up having to buy a new one.

Feature request: automatic opening and closing doors that force close/require manual opening when water is detected. I tried copying it over from The Iroh (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2602920829) in the sub editor but I really don't know how to. Thanks!

i put so many hours into the explorer 1 but im finaly parting ways with it for the explorer 2.
feels so wrong saying bye to a ship that you have sailed 400+ hours on, its like parting ways from a girl friend or a life long neighbor.

I like the Explorer I, but I have a problem with Explorer II. What really ruins the sub for me is that the captain can't access all the secure containers in crew quarters

I love this sub! Perfect for solo campaign since it's small enough to be manageable by one person but still has everything you need. I do have a couple questions/suggestions for the Explorer II. Is there any way to make it so the coilguns can be customized and swapped out if desired? Also, I purchased pulse lasers for the two empty turret bases but there's only one pulse laser loader and despite putting ammo in it, I still can't fire from either of the periscopes in the command room. Finally, it seems weird to me that the captain can't access all of the containers on the ship? Certainly the captain should have access to the secure cabinets in the armory, but I think it would also be nice to be able to access the individual crew cabinets in the crew quarters if you're playing with just a few people or by yourself and they aren't being used otherwise, since the ship only has so much storage space and that would be a helpful way of keeping additional items organized.

also i dont know if you can replace any of the other coil guns. i only saw 2 changeable turrets anyways in the upgrade
