Whenever I select the religion tab in 1.4, it hangs and I have to force it closed.
I would like to find out why, but I have no talent for modding.

Ludeon's EULA states that they may use any Mod made for their product for anything they make, without compensation or notification, at any time, for any reason. They are under no obligation to acknowledge it, even if they directly copied the code line for line. That said, they apparently have attributed code in the past.

For everyone having problems. I am posting on the basic religion pack discussion board any of my findings. So far I have a quick solve to fix pawns not praying. A guide to come.

@mikuroshi There are work priorities "unpacking" mods out there, though. I personally use Work Tab, which works really well, even with modded tasks. They make the work tab a bit overwhelming to look at, but they allow players to set priorities individually per task.

In other words, while this mod alone does not provide for it, there are ways to set the "religius activities" task to max priority without making all your colonists drop whatever they do to haul a random chunk of rock to storage.

Great in theory but poorly executed. Peity is too hard to manage so you basically end up with a -10 depression debuff to all religious pawns.

Yep worshipping is embedded into hauling, kinda dumb though since a pawn has to be in priority 1 in hauling so that they go to worship without missing it, would rather have it do something like the classroom in the leadership mod. -It's time for class! Everyone that's applicable drops what they're doing and heads to class regardless of job priority-

I think worshiping is tied to hauling, set that to priority 1 for my religious pawns and they went right to the worship spots.

Ok, how do I exactly force pawns to pray?
I have built a church with holy site and worship spots, connected it all together, even made a schedule with worship sessions.
But nothing happens - pawns not praying or worshiping and getting -10 mood debuff all the time.

My pawn prays everyday and still has the -10 mood for low piety..

I'd divide religious precepts into core and extra indicating stricter or laxer impositions, and an orthodoxy meter that influences how big is the piety penalty for not observing certain precepts.

Ideally you'd also be able to control orthodoxy to a degree (for example, by appointing a chief priest for a faith, so that believers in the colony will drift towards the chief priest's level).

I think it would be fun to also be able to customize the colony's religions to a degree. Maybe again using the chief priest; or via the worship tasks) This could lead to conflicts with visitor pawns or new recruits who follow the non-modified version of the faith.

This mod is really interesting, but I feel it's a bit too rigid in terms of how piety is handled.
It's very engaging the way it considers actions, food and clothing among the precepts of a religion, however it gets pretty silly when half your colony is having bad piety moodlets because they are not using bows to fight a mechanoid invasion or something like that and you have 0 tools to control how a religion spreads.

you're able to set religion if you enter dev mode and select the character's religion tab, alternatively you can just cause or wait for the religious providence event for a random religion. the lectern decides the tasks for a religion can take and the lectern can be bound to some object like the alter with book which determines which religion's activities can take place. The worship spots can be bound to the book too. That's what I was able to figure out so far with the maker's church.

Question: I am unable to get any religion active in my world. I keep getting the error "building isnt complete" Im also unable to assign a religion or get any pawns to use the religion objects.

Idk what is wrong with your mod, but it just doesnt work. The old version was something, although its not avaliable now. And now I cant even bring my colonists to use church at all. There is no religion trait or smth like that and people just ignore the church, even if I have everything needed. Altar placed, worships spots, religion chosen and so on. Too bad man. Perhaps you guys should try call of cthulhu cults mod, which allows you to create a religion/cult and worship some lovecraft gods

Hello can you please help me ??I wanna get the serpent religion...i have like 6 totems and the worship spot and the sacrifice altar all linked ( 1 totem+1sacrifice altar+1 worship spot) i have one pawn who is human and has a bloodlust trait...his conversion chance is still 0.1 and while markers chuch has 0.4 chances without buildings or traits wtf.

also, the religion tab isn't showing enough information, like preferable and non-referable clothing, food and weapon. I have to check the xml files of the religion to know those information and I think it should be accessible in-game.

hey, can you release a better tutorial for your mod? I read your FAQ and try to get my pawns to worship or even praying consistently. I think there should be a way to schedule praying time for pawns like meditation schedule instead of letting the job giver do it.

Is it safe to remove after adding to an on-going save? Tried it out but also could not make it do anything - even after following the FAQ and setting everything up.
As a suggestion, would be cool to have a 'conversion' feature, for roleplaying and unifying your colony.. :)

Yeah tried this mod, its a good mod for getting a permanent -10 religion opinion which cant be remedied in any way whatsoever. Overly complicated to begin with and then also not actually able to do be used properly. I spent like 2 hours trying to use it properly and the short answer is no, it doesnt work.

The mod is more or less broken in this condition. -10 mood debuff for low piety and inability to increase a piety to a satisfactory level (4-5 h of praying/day is not enough) is game breaking.

Installed this mod for a new Colony and I noticed in the previous version of the mod, there were traits such Antitheism and Atheism.

Is it safe to assume that these traits/options are not present in this version of the mod?

It's still WIP unfortunately: worship tasks always appear as finished and I keep getting "Reservation manager failed to clean up properly" error at the end of worship.

My pawns will not worship or pray unless I specifically click for them to do so. They won't follow any schedule to do it, and when I try to make the schedule it autos as suspended/finished and I can't change it. MTR's fix worked for one or two in-game days, then stopped, and all hours auto to suspended.

Hello Castor, something seems to be broken. I cannot assign the totem to anything! Looking up mothers coven in the religions tab it only says under buildings "totem" and nothing more. No "worship spot" as with the other religions. Whats going on here?
For the time I will have to remove the pawn religions now.

I think ive figured something out . The Worship times seemed locked between 10, 11 ,12 hrs of the day if you try to set time lets say 9 on down or 13 on up it will show as red and or show task already completed . For those who cant get pawns to worship/pray . Hopefully this also gives the gives an idea on what to exactly try to fix .

I have literally no idea how to get my colonist to pray. There's a temple with a an altar assigned to her religion, but nothing ever changes and I have no way to get her to interact with it. Worshipping is assigned to be done every day
