I assure you, though, that a lot more time went into this one than the Camona mission with all the dialogue and event triggers. I'm surprised you didn't have similar issues with that mission, really, because the map there was pretty much made from memory as opposed to from the original heightmap like this one.

It's the heightmap of the Ace Combat 04 mission taken directly from the Deep Strike mission briefing, I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to on that front because it's literally as close as it can possibly be. You also aren't attacking Stonehenge here, but I had to fudge it a bit to make it work within the limited targets available in the VTOL VR editor, so it's those buildings instead of the solar plant as it appears in the original. I'm not sure why the mission apparently can't be finished now and Stonehenge's attack doesn't work, considering it worked fine when I originally made this map, but if I had to guess maybe game updates broke it? I'll have a look and see if I can fix it sometime.

Canyons like the ones found in The Canyon War map or the Grand Canyon Speedrace Would fit more, and a sunset skybox such as on the Florida Keys map would work well. Here it has you attacking a Stonehenge mockup, which is fine, but for me it just auto fails me saying I didn't take out Stonehenge (which had me confused haha).

Also if you're over 2000 feet, a voice line from Skyeye does play indicating Mobius One has been shot down but there is no event trigger.

I am guessing the creator just got frustrated with the editor not being as robust as they needed it to be, or didn't know how to get it to cooperate for what was needed. So yeah, the mission has no end state as if to say they themselves are not done with it quite yet. Which is fair enough tbh. c:

Yeah, no way to finish it. The mission is unfinished. It's not been given a lot of polish compared to the Comona mission. The map is hastily put together and it seems to me they got the memory of two different missions confused and mixed together.

The mission Deep Strike doesn't have you attacking Stonehenge, but a simple power plant facility deep past several smaller bases surrounded by deep cut ravines. Upon destroying the plant, Stonehenge does attack even though it isn't present on the map, the implication is that Stonehenge, being a weapon meant to destroy asteroids, has the ability to circle the planet and hit any place it needs to. Hence the danger.

Tell me if you can finish it. Would be curious.

Oh I didn't know this one was out. Ugh, the ingame browser didn't show it. I can't wait to load this up.

I am unsure if I am doing something wrong but this mission appears to be unfinishable for me at the moment. The way I understand it you are supposed to strike the indicated ground targets and when the radio says there's a strike incoming you're supposed to fly low in those valley back to the origin point/to the indicated escape area. However, once the escape zone is reached... nothing seems to happen? The valleys just end and if you go any higher or try to reach the actual waypoint the mission automatically fails...?

What am I doing wrong here...? *puzzled*

Fantastic mission, your content has inspired me to work on my own Ace Combat style missions. Amazing work, just seriously great stuff.

I absolutely fucking love these, please keep making them. Brings back so many memories

Thanks! I wanted to include more voice lines last time, but it's a bit harder to do with a mission like Shattered Skies where so much of it is combat chatter when the VTOL itself includes a lot from your wingmen, but I'll see what I can do for future missions.

Once again, this remake is phenomenal. Your last level captured the Ace Combat vibes extremely well, but this level is a step-up in quality. What makes this level feel even more authentic is the voice lines. Having all of the original dialogue makes this experience so much more enjoyable. Hearing the AWACS announce, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, impact!" gave me chills because it reminded so much of playing the original. Thus, if I had any major suggestions for future levels, try to implement as much of that dialogue as possible. The constant chatter makes the level feel incredibly alive; furthermore, it feels like playing Ace Combat 4 all over again. 10/10 on this one, and I hope you make even more levels in the future.
