it is sad that special unit doesn't have cannonballs animation :c Anyway amazing mode you definetly shoudl try it :3

+1 great admiral point per promotion? geez thats really subpar, thats like +1 great admiral point per 10 turns. maybe +1 great admiral point per 10 exp gained from naval combat units? I mean either buff that specific ability or take it out it's adding nothing. Or maybe +10 admiral points per promotion, that mimics the garde imperial +10 general points for killing a unit, I think wolin has that bonus too.

Won a Science Victory as this civ on Deity, turn 226 standard speed. Incredibly fun to play, pillaging was just incredible on a modded atoll map. Helped that I got an early monopoly, I was able to purchase most if not all things with gold, to pillage more things, to get more gold, etc. Got so much science from pillaging, was in the industrial side of the tech tree in the early Renaissance era. Excited for the rework!

There's no pressure on this front! I've waited years for updates, and at that moment I'm only grateful they even got brought back! I mean this shit is FREE, so any effort you put in should only be because you love it and want to, and we're here just to reap the rewards and be appreciative. Besides, classwork is a lot more important I'm sure haha

I looked at the pirate models and they are not unique - they're resized existing assets. Also, I think treasure fleets are a bit (read: very) outside of the scope of this mod

Just had a fun play through with him but a few things... Coastal cities don't immediatly join your side, food and gold for pirate harbour with ships doesn't work, pirate haven amenities seem to skyrocket (was getting 32 in one city from districts) and don't seem to be able to capture enemy ships with admiral...

bart seems considerably stronger than henry on paper. bart's ability is useful across the board for getting great admirals, while outside of ocean heavy maps fighting religious units on the sea is rare (i haven't had it happen yet and didn't even KNOW they could fight on the sea). i think he could use a buff, making him less religious focused... maybe he gets a ton of gold for killing naval units of a different religion than himself, or passively saps gold from sea trade routes passing through his cities?

just spitballing - this is a great mod so i just wanted to express feedback!

Update on previous bug report: Does not seem to persist across save games. Started a new game and the bug did not reoccur.

I need to report a bug with the mod I'm afraid. The Pirate Haven is giving me its' yield bonuses to ALL coast tiles (+1 Food +2Gold) regardless of whether or not any naval units are present. As soon as the Haven is built all tiles get the bonus. Reloading does not fix this. Moving naval units in and out of the city borders does not fix this.

I have no idea what could have caused the harbor bug... well, it could be a leftover from the Unique District Bug firaxis had, and if that's the case then it's out of my hands.

This has been a very interesting modded Civ to play as. I have thoroughly enjoyed my playthrough with them so far.

I encountered a possible bug with pillaging Harbor districts. I stacked my game with all the other Civilizations with naval Unique Units or Unique Districts. If I completely pillage a unique Harbor district (England/Victoria or Carthage/Dido) the Harbor is deleted entirely upon capturing the city. Rebuilding the Harbor district in the captured city, requires getting to the next population cap. Once the district is completed, all the previous existing buildings repopulate the district and are pillaged. The only thing is that these buildings can NEVER be repaired. (I repaired the lighthouse 4 times before I noticed.)

Also, the Pirate Haven might be a little OP. Increasing Amenities AND food/gold make it a bit too much. Maybe pick one, or halve each benefits' effects.

Regardless, I have had much fun ruling the seas and skies as Black Bart!
