The description is giving me Bento (anime) vibes. :)

That's all the "back to the shack" encounter ever was in the PnP games... A simple character combat shakedown run.

It was never intended to be anything else.

thanks for making this and i'm glad i got to try it

i always hear people talking about this mission from the original books and complaining that it was so terrible for an example adventure and i agree, but that's not on you. i appreciate you porting it to the video game for the chance to try it out. i have to agree with the other people, though. it's not a shadowrun or anything close but at least it could help you learn some basic combat stuff

Great to know about FF in DMS-VP !
I will look after it when playing latest versions of Shadowrun.

Thanks! I didn't know when we published this seven years ago that it would still have any interest at this point. We made this for proof of concept, to kick all the tires and see how the editor worked.

For instance, when Shadowrun Returns was released, there was no way to save in the middle of a scene, only at scene loads, so we include a scene load to save your character.

We figured out how to hack the prop import, so those weird custom shelves we were very proud of.

A modernized version of the Stuffer Shack scenario is included in DMS-VP.

I will look at downloading the game again and fixing some of the issues here.

Cool to have implemented this introduction scenario in SRR.
Unfortunately, several bugs make the experience less fun than it could be.
For example, I took the Street etiquette when creating my character, but unfortunately it is not available in the discussion.
Also, I didn't find any spell for my mage, but that can be me.

Nope, Stuffer Shack is like 7-11, or whatever flavor of corner store you happen to have in your part of the world. Lots of processed foods that aren't good for you, along with the constant hold-ups that make walking through the door an adventure every time.

If you've played through this, choose the 'go back in' option from the ending conversation, and it'll bring you back in for a slightly more difficult challenge!

Isn't Stuffer Shack supposed to be a restaurant?

If you want to challenge yourself, up the difficulty by visiting the telephone and hitting the number five.

Hey! I remember this scene from Shadowrun 1st edition core rulebook :D It was one of the scenes set up for beginners to test the combat system ... haha!
Sentient_Toaster 21 Jun, 2014 @ 12:04am
LOL at the "mash all the buttons at once" option...

Wow, I am quite surprised that this was the second short story in shadowlab considering how terribly is this bugged and broken.
Magnum Force 23 Mar, 2014 @ 1:58pm
Sounds like a remake of the anime "Bento" Ha ha. Might give it a spin.

New version uploaded for 1.20, including the rest of the conversations (for you completionists), a new hidden gear point, and a panicbutton inside the Manager's Office to let you con-artists get out of the panic room.

This file has been uploaded to Nexusmods as well: http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunreturns/mods/215/?

Ah, it's no problem, just wondering. It's still very fun. I like to run through over and over again with various characters.
L0g41n  [author] 26 Jan, 2014 @ 8:44am
@Zane Grey: Sorry, but there are a few things in the scenario that are unfinished (like if you're able to talk your way into the Panic Room without a decent Decking skill), but the plan was to update and finish the module with the release of the Berlin update.

@Pizdator: I've been wanting to upload this to the Nexus, but not until it was finished. I'll see what I can do to recify that. :)
DiscoVivaldi 18 Jan, 2014 @ 12:51pm
Add this mod to Nexus also. I have a DRM-free copy and I want to play some mods too!
Zane Grey 16 Jan, 2014 @ 12:40pm
How do you talk to Timmy, Wanda, or Mister Nick?
Zevrax 1 Jan, 2014 @ 9:03pm
Good old Stuffer Shack!
thinkpol 5 Dec, 2013 @ 12:15pm
Oh that brought back memories. Great fun little one-shot. Exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for while waiting for Berlin.
TheMinister 4 Dec, 2013 @ 12:48pm
Will definetly have to give this one a go. Food Fight has been the quick start scenario for every edition since at least 2e (and still is come 5e), making it one of the most iconographic Shadowrun staples.

Bar_Brian, if you have a module in mind that you'd like to work on, the Shadowrun: Identity project can always use the help!
[UA] Duckstep 1 Dec, 2013 @ 4:50pm
i remember this one:cybereye:
nephilimnexus 1 Dec, 2013 @ 11:52am
Oh man this brings back memories ... thanks!
Bar_Barian 1 Dec, 2013 @ 8:38am
I see I'm going to have to dig out my old modules and learn how to write sccenarios... good show
Mournblade 30 Nov, 2013 @ 5:30pm
Great rendition of the classic food fight scenario. As I recall this was the example scenario, starting with the Shadowrun Second Edition corebook. I think.
Iced Teh 30 Nov, 2013 @ 11:41am
This was fun. Thumbs up!
elvis 26 Nov, 2013 @ 10:03pm
the original food fight?

YES!
Plastic Mohawk 26 Nov, 2013 @ 5:58am
LOL, this UGC is funny!

I got locked inside the manager's office and couldn't get out :(

Tried to interact with the TV but it didn't work.
sirchet 25 Nov, 2013 @ 10:40am
