Yea, two mods probably conflicted - Reform and rule or / and civ advanced.

Upd To previous comment - after some reinstalls, deletign some mods and installing them back etc. etc. etc. Everythign now works fine. I think this mod conflicted with - Civ advanced.
Not 100% sure as well. Once again thanks for your mods!
yiiiep6ok 26 Aug, 2024 @ 10:22pm
Hey, this mod (I guess after devs did some update or so) locks out policy tree - cant open it by any means. Can you update it please? Thanks.
This mod worked well year ago or so for me. Checked all other your mods (tested that it was one of them) - this problem appears with that mod active only.
I have all stuff required for it and your other mods.

I love the amount of content you bring to the game, ust a recommendation for the aesthetics of the mod. I would change the image of the Conservation policy since it does not look like it fits with the rest. They all have this tone of yellowish or gold while conservation looks out of place by being too green and blue. Again, awesome job you are doing and i hope you keep on bringing more to the table.

Fixed a bug with one of the Industry policies giving gold to strategic resources without actually having the requisite policy in the first place

what was the update?
nicovallejos 12 Jul, 2021 @ 8:05pm
@JFD

I have encountered more bug, this time in Intrigue. Upon completing that tree, getting the additional spy doesn't work due to "no such column" error
saber 20 Mar, 2021 @ 3:15am
@Jarman I got that problem too, I think its because the cost for the ideology tenet cost, for some reason, 0 culture. But even when I filled the tenets, the adopt a policy button is still there.....
Rebel 9 Jun, 2020 @ 11:45am
@JFD I think something may be wrong with this mod or maybe one of your other RTP mods but when there always comes a point where I eventually come across a bug where it is stuck on the adopt a policy button and won't let me advance to the next turn. I've tried in two different playthroughs and believe it happens sometime around a second level idelogical tennet is adopted (for me it was around turn 270~290 on standard). If you have any ideas of what could be wrong any help would be appreciated.
the REAL dr. latency 6 Jun, 2020 @ 8:52pm
@Marquis Yeah, I think Spirit Ideology messes this mod up. I get the same issue you described.
Bastian Freeman 5 May, 2020 @ 9:29pm
If anyone is having problems with the policies not appearing, even if the policy trees do, then it may be a compatibility problem it seems to have with the Spirit Ideology mod.

Reconfigure your load order by disabling and re-enabling everything in the numerical order indicated in the title of the mod
Filipe 1 May, 2020 @ 12:30pm
Looks like after the update, the new polices are broken....
Darth Dokuga 24 Apr, 2020 @ 10:04am
After last update I cannot open social policy tree.

Using ONLY this mod with 2 requirements.

REALLY???
JFD  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 3:34pm
That's the order in which things should be loading. Civ is fickle when it comes to managing load order and often it will override the order in which you enable mods (the default load order, barring specific relations set in the mod itself) alphabetically. So I have them like that in the hope that they'll always load in the correct order. Failing that, it might give the user some clue about the order in which the mods should be enabled (1 first, 2 second, and so forth). 2 and 3 MUST come after 1 for anything to work, and ideally 3 will come after 2, so its important that load order operates, but unfortunately that doesn't always work out, and its often the root cause of strange issues.

JFD, why are there numbers on all of the Rise to Power mods? (1) (2) (3) etc.
JFD  [author] 2 Apr, 2020 @ 3:06pm
@mjpc88 there is a scroll bar.
Claudius Yones 18 Mar, 2020 @ 3:07am
I'm having the same problem as @nicovallejos, completing the Conservation tree crashes the game. Pretty sure it's the case for when either the player or the AI finish the tree - the game crashes either way.
JFD  [author] 27 Feb, 2020 @ 8:39am
There is no update planned, everything is working as intended afaik
Dandy Drake 27 Feb, 2020 @ 6:27am
is tomorrow the update coming ?
Crazy Dave 22 Feb, 2020 @ 8:05am
I hope that helps
Crazy Dave 22 Feb, 2020 @ 8:05am
I have a problem this mod disables my social polices screen from opening the only alternate mods I have are your Civs, the other Rise to Power mods, ethinc units, enlightenment era, Community patch, and World wonder pack 264
nicovallejos 12 Feb, 2020 @ 7:03pm
There has been one bug that caused the game to crash:

Completing the entirely of the Conservation social policy branch has resulted in CTD; I have adopted National Trust last to complete Conservation at the time the crash happened
Webbzyjr2 8 Feb, 2020 @ 1:58pm
It's good to see quality content continue to be developed for Civilization 5. Your mods are fantastic, keep up the great work.
Nappa8000 2 Feb, 2020 @ 6:57am
Still waiting for that crime mod
31 Jan, 2020 @ 12:29pm
Mods are always free, But the work that goes into it is at least worth a coffee.
Also I love coffee :)

A very interesting mod, but I've noticed that Conservation doesn't really offer much incentives to actually conserving some terrain features, most prominently wetlands. Wetlands are unfortunately one of the most threatened biomes in reality and everyone seems to arbitrarily hate them, Civ in particular making them nothing but a nuisance for anyone but the dutch, encouraging players to destroy them with impunity, despite how important they really are. While it wouldn't make them great, maybe something in conservation could reflect a society deciding to respect this otherwise negative tile?
TY 28 Jan, 2020 @ 5:02am
I can't even access the policy screen with this mod activated. I assume this isn't compatible with CBP?
JFD  [author] 28 Jan, 2020 @ 12:15am
True. I'll have to rethink one or the other.

Its in the Capital. I'll make this clearer in an update, thanks.

I suppose, but it also takes a bit more production to construct. The strength of the overall policy will be softened when I've released my Crimea mod.

That's why the Free Spy is there, which I think is good enough on its own I think. With my intended Attrition mod, it's certainly plauseable that the reveal could be useful. However, I was conconsidering originally to have it have uou meet all players instead, which may be slightly more useful I suppose.

Thanks for the feedback.

I believe the Intrigue social policy has a lot of parts which are overlapping or are out balanced.

1. Take the Intrigue opener; you get free constabularies in your first 4 city's. Your first 4 cities are in most cases the best cities to build any wonders in. If you build the Intrigue wonder, the White Tower, the part where you get a free constabulary would be of no use.
2. If I get it right, with the Cabinet Noir the Constabulary (1 gpt) is a very suited variation for the Courthouse (4 gpt). Though the Constabulary is only available in the Renaissance era, I would say that it's a really good (almost OP) buff that someone would gain for a conquered city.
[Reyne] Rabbit 27 Jan, 2020 @ 7:00pm
3. Intelligence Networks, does that only concern the great people points of that spawned great persons specialization, or is it a buff for all great people in general? And to which cities do these points get assigned to? Because there's no use of gpp if you don't produce that gp in that specific city. And if the gpp get assigned to every city, do all cities get the same amount, or is there a total number of gpp that get divided between your total amount of cities?
4. And last, the Intrigue closer; all other capitals get revealed. There's never been one game, to where I didn't know the capital location of my opponents, at the moment that I finished the Rationalism policy tree.

Are you planning on leaving these parts like this? Or is this policy tree still a work in progress?
JFD  [author] 27 Jan, 2020 @ 2:54pm
@Storm4ce Generally, that warning is a catch-all because I can't really guarantee what any mod works with or doesn't. I think this mod will work fine with any social policy mods (like Reform & Rule and other rebalance ones) so long as the mod in question doesn't overwrite the Social Policy screen (for instance, Iska's Might and Majesty would be incompatible because of this). So if the mod doesn't do anything radical, it should be fine - but the only way to know is to try them together and see how it goes. The only mod that absolutely won't work is my Nationalism mod - and this is because its a bit outdated and needs to be incorporated into the Rise to Power collection (since it needs its own overwrites). Hope that helps.

+The 420th Gunslinger - The fuck are you talking about. It's a donation. Paid mods are off of certain Civ websites that require you to pay for the files, these are just free for everyone to download.

By the way, JFD, these mods cannot be used with other mods that are not RtP, or is this social-policy specific mods?
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 27 Jan, 2020 @ 12:31pm
Ok. Thanks for the speedy response.
JFD  [author] 27 Jan, 2020 @ 12:30pm
Yes, Intrigue was added in the last patch. That will be all as far as I can see - I added Intrigue so that there were two new trees per Era between Classical and Industrial
JFD  [author] 27 Jan, 2020 @ 12:29pm
I'm not asking, I'm providing the option
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 27 Jan, 2020 @ 12:28pm
I see that intrigue is a new addition to this mod(or I'm just blind). Will there be more social policy trees?
T.N.Tobin 27 Jan, 2020 @ 12:14pm
i mean ... everyones mods are always free... so asking for a coffeee and saying my mods are always free is kinda.... deceiving and stupid.
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 26 Jan, 2020 @ 5:42pm
I've wanted this for a long time.
This being another Social Policy mod by you JFD.
nicovallejos 26 Jan, 2020 @ 3:13am
I got it in my sights! Downloading now!
