I hadn't planned on doing Unique Factory blocks since it's not something I personally desired and I didn't feel really needed this modular approach; it's usually better to just adjust a building model to be an actual Unique Factory. But if I ever get time for side projects I might consider it as well as barracks/maintenance blocks.

Anyone else have an issue with waste collection from the main buildings. Waste collection from all other areas but they seem to avoid the main building blocks.

Good question, I don't think I ever tested my blocks to see what happens when it upgrades. Not sure if there's a difference between using the main building as the template or changing the AI using ModTools/AI Changer, but I don't recall for sure which way I ended up doing it (I think I tried both ways).

Hey, I'm currently trying to figure out how to re-purpose an asset into an industries DLC main building. I've used mod tools to convert it, like I did with my extractor and processor buildings (which work perfectly fine), and when the main building upgardes (to level 2) it upgrades to the vanilla model. Is there any way to fix this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can we pleease get blank extractors :( Or even with blocks? :( Preferably with fewer jobs since the in game farm numbers are surreal.

@Shadow I don't even remember what I set them too, but easy enough to change in-game with Customize It!; I might be revisiting this set soon to add a barracks/maintenance bonus block and update them with LODs, in which case I'll take a fresh look at the stats.

@Chamëleon Hadn't planned on doing universities since the official ones were all so nice and I didn't see a need for them personally, but perhaps in the future if I have free time.

@ AKAKAKAT' I have no plans for Unique Factories; too many combos and default ones are pretty great. Easier to just change the building asset you want into a Unique Factory in Asset Editor anyhow.

By blank extractor I mean something like the farming pastures with no props. I don't think there's a forest one yet. Also my seafood harvest asset on the workshop is just a blank farming extractor you can use anywhere (made it for my fish hatcheries). I might just release a blank default farm and forest extractor since blocks would be hard to hide in a field or plantation.

Question - the original Block designs maintained the same number of workers as vanilla.

Why change it? Not criticizing, just curious.

Do you have plans to release also a Campus-Main-building (Administration) as such a Block? I want to build an more realistic european campus - and the huge main building really do not fit at all.

What about unique factories? I think it would be a good idea, because vanilla looks terrible, but the gameplay idea of industry dlc itself is very good. It's the same for farms or forestry. Blocks on farms can also be used, as in the GiometryE collection of sawmill. You mentioned an empty asset, how can I get it? Because using decals makes farms much more beautiful. Honestly, I find these cubes a brilliant idea. A simple player should be able to create buildings on his own without knowledge of 3D modeling and so on. In the game you can already create incredible and realistic industrial complexes, for example, but they, unfortunately, do not carry any gameplay component. Nice work and I'd include these blocks or their analogue in sc2 or some dlc.

So either a barracks block and maintenance block for each industry (8 total), or 1 combined auxiliary building combining barracks and maintenance bonus for each industry (4 total)? 4 would be easier to make obviously, heh.

I could add one for each type (5% work efficiency or 5% storage efficiency), or combine the effects into one auxiliary block if that'd be simpler for people? Changing a building to Auxiliary AI rather than basing it off of either barracks or maintenance gives a combined 5% work and storage efficiency bonus.
