As of 5/8/23 this mod is causing my server (hosted by Gportal) to fail to launch, resulting in the need of a complete wipe and replacement of the server. Love this mod, hope it's not gone for good.

So in S+ there is a Ballista turret and a Cannon Turret is there a way you could do the same thing for turrets like that? I like you mode and how it is set up. So if I do not need S+ for those it is 1 less spot taken by a mod. Keep up the work!

This is interesting. I'll have to give this a try.
Though, I do wish the alternative power source was Gasoline instead of Sparkpowder as I'd say the former is more balanced and makes a lot more sense than the latter. (Also there are a few other mods that have turrets that run of Gasoline.)

@VulcanTourist: I can confirm that at least the stone arrow turret works underwater. Mounted a set on the back of my Mosa Platform and they fired fine.

Placement is all three.

Crossbows normally are one of the few weapons that also function under water. Do the first two of these turrets - the third would be a stretch - also work under water? Also, it's not clear where they are placeable: terrain, platforms, or only foundations?

Ran this mod with a clean environment with only it as a mod. All values adjust through Game User Settings. Setting Inventory size to different sizes, all work, same for Require Power and Sparkpowder option.

The only two that do not work are Damage and Speed as regardless what I plug in, the values remain fixed. Do you have any idea what could be the issue? Also, out of curiosity and as I stated earlier, are you able to add an adjustment to the range of the shots?

Great mod Kavan.

Only issue I'm having and was curious if it's on my end. While I added the ini settings and assigned the values, only the quantity is effected. I modified the quantity of arrows and it was changed in-game, however the damage doesn't change from 140 damage and the speed is unchanged regardless of 0.1 to 5.

Also, is there a way to reduce the max distance? The range is much too far and don't want others on the server to have that kind of range from a primitive variant using stone arrows with that kind of accuracy in automated service. It makes regular turrets useless.

Hello, I have a problem. I wanted to remove unnecessary turrets in game.ini, but they were not deleted. I have my own server. No problem with other engrams. Can mod order on server influence? Or how to fix it?

@Léna I cant reproduce what you sad everything is working fine. Could you give more more details on how that happend like were you far away when the dino got knocked out or were the turrets not yours ?

@Nightchade There is only on torpor value of torpor in ark and its working for both creatures and players.

@Lena: I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure Ark uses 2 or 3 different damage sources internally for torpor, one for players and dinos, one for only dinos, and one for only players... I'm betting the source used here was the player-only one.

I'm playing in solo and I have a problem : When a creature is tranquilized by the tranqturret, it can't be tamed (Wrote : Tameable by "someone") Is there a solution? Is that normal?

This is very good concept.
Maybe you should make the "stand" of the turrent non-metal, that would give it a more primitive look.

well after testing that seems the regular arrow turret can shoot down rockets/grenades but the fire and tranq can not.

Please make them require spark powder to run. I run a medieval PvP server. So no electricity. If these could be powered using spark powder to run, it would be absolutly perfect!

Great Mod!

On my Singleplayer and dedicated server the Exclusion/Inclusion List doesn't work.
I cant put creatures on the list.
Do you have a fix for that?

You could make them use sparkpowder as fuel to run, and add some form of smoking effect similar to a preserving bin or torch?

I like the concept of primitive turrent, but having them working without electricity or being manned (which I know would be kinda of impossible to automate) sounds very non-immersive. :)

I intend to change their recipe to include some circuits on their crafting to account for "electric targeting".

Thank you so much! i absolutely love this mod i honestly cant think of any ways it could be improved now lol it seems so perfect! If you are looking for an idea for a few more mods. (you dont have to make them just some ideas since you seem like the perfect one to make em.) i have always wanted to see a auto catapult turret maybe even a auto ballista turret mod.

I always liked how those turrets looked but there was no auto attack option and felt like for cavemen themed players a catapult turret that flings boulders would be a more balanced option than making an auto turret. But regardless thank you very much for this mod it is amazing!

@GamerXDevision I have added the Flame Turret and made a ini option that allows admins to disable ammo use for every turret individually. Set the ini option to true and then an admin can toggle ammo use via the radial menu.

i have a suggestion as i really love this mod and i currently host a server is there any way you could add 2 things the things being 1 a fire arrow turret and 2 a setting for admins to disable ammo aka they can be placed and wont require ammo but by default the setting requires ammo but admins could disable it
