Is there a version of this mod that works with CK2+ ?
Lord Accokstorm 2 Oct, 2021 @ 6:05am
Sorry for your loss.

Does this mod affect laws in any way? running into a massive issue mid-game where I was nominated Emperor, but very shortly after, lost the ability to call up levies completely. None of my vassals will give me a single soldier. It happens shortly after (few months) after becoming emperor. They have a -100% modifier for levies called "laws".

Anybody else noticed this issue?

Can be activated mid-game?

Thank you for maintaining this mod!

Oh, thank you.

That law is enabled automatically when you appoint/depose Co-Emperors. You can’t change the law manually.

I am playing the byzantine empire and I can not unlock the co-emperorship law. It is grey and does not have any requirements
Alpharion 21 May, 2020 @ 5:20pm
Oh okay. Thank you.
kurthakon  [author] 21 May, 2020 @ 4:03am
If you refer to bighungryjames’ original mod, then no. Don’t use both at the same time.
Alpharion 21 May, 2020 @ 12:20am
Do I still need the main mod?

Hey! I thank you for porting this mod to HIP. Previously I used to play with Zeto & Bassilises mod (only available in Paradox Forums) but unafortunately it wasn't updated. C&S is a must have now for an immersive ERE run!

There’s already a direct link in the Mod Compatibility section.

Can you give us a *direct link* for downloading, plz? Thx in advance! \m/\m/

I'll have to take a look to see if I can integrate support of it while keeping it entirely optional.

Great job on this, kurthakon. This has mod become an absolute must have for me. Any way this could be made compatible with No Early Bascinets or Great Helms submod (part of the Norse Heritage Overhaul mod), which also edits the 00_portrait_properties.txt?

damn im looking for a mod like this but that allows you to make your heir a co-ruler e.g. if you rule empire of brittania you can make your heir emperor of francia

Patch 2
- You can now appoint your Co-Emperors to the commander title even when they are not landed.
- Now your Co-Emperors will give you a slight buff to vassal limit via a special type of law, up to a maximum bonus of 10 depending on how many Co-Emperors you have appointed.
- Nerfed the monthly salary of Co-Emperors down to a more sane level, which is much closer to the monthly salary provided by other jobs and minor titles.

@Ziegler
Yeah, I came to the same conclusion. Unfortunately, command ability is hard-coded so it's not possible to make the Co-Emperor title give it alone.

But, I will do like you suggested, so that in the next patch the Co-Emperor title will give you the ability to grant the Commander title to even an unlanded Co-Emperor.
Magnus 10 Feb, 2020 @ 3:18pm
I tried to have quick look at it now, and ended up in my own local files just making title_co_emperor setting eligibility for title_commander, which worked nicely, but then you potentially occupy 3 of the commander slots for the symbasileis. I agree with you, that it would be a much better solution that title_co_emperor granted command ability without having to occupy any of the existing commander slots.
kurthakon  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 2:39pm
That's a good suggestion. I'll have to check if it's possible for the Co-Emperor minor title to grant command ability without holding the commander title.
Magnus 10 Feb, 2020 @ 2:11pm
Should the Co-rulers/Symbasileis also be set as commanders, and thus able to lead armies?

@wodud7717
I assume that by "seal limit" you mean the vassal limit?

This mod is only meant to represent the Byzantine era Co-Emperors, which weren't needed to better administrate the realm like in the Roman Empire of old. The Byzantine era Co-Emperors where there mostly to either secure the succession or to stabilize the empire by placating potentially powerful rivals to the throne.

Though, I might add vassal limit modifiers related to the Co-Emperors in the future, but it’s not a priority.

First, let me know that I'm not good at English so I turn it into a translator.
Roman co-emperor was introduced to rule over the vast territory.
So, how about giving a bonus to the administration of the Empire by increasing the seal limit when the co-emperor is appointed?

Awesome!!!
kurthakon  [author] 31 Jan, 2020 @ 2:52pm
It was maybe inaccurate of me to say improvements when it just meant some localization changes in general. They’re very minor in nature, it just adds character names and gender pronouns where it’s proper. If you compare the screenshots in the workshop pages you can see most of it.

In terms of functionality the only difference between my version and his original, is that mine fixes the ability to force appoint Co-Emperor, so that you can now force appoint anyone eligible to become emperor (marshal and commanders).
Magnus 31 Jan, 2020 @ 2:20pm
What are the localization changes and improvements from bighungryjames' original version?

Thank you so much for this.
