@d41337n8r are you holding Shift while moving? I have the option of implementing "While Walking" and "While Running" attacks. I decided holding shift to walk would be less frustrating in practice, so I call them WalkAlts. I'll probably implement running actions in the future and call it RunAlts, but at the moment, if it's a WalkAlt it requires Shift to be held while moving to get them to trigger. Hope that helped.

I don't seem to be able to use WalkAlts, I always just get the standard neutral or grounded alt instead. For example, I can't use breakthrough blade's thunder breaker, and I only know what it's called because it's in the gif here. When i right click while walking I only get blade storm. This is also the case for the soul nail in your other mod, even when I'm walking I get the descending dark move.

Thank you for the quick response! Unsheathe/Ready Animation [FU/FR] was causing the issue. It seems it breeaks a lot of sword mods.

I wouldn't be able to say one way or another without seeing what other mods you're running. I do my best to keep Spardan Items Vanilla-friendly, but some mods change the way vanilla items work, causing conflicts.
Replicating the issue in-game, then sending me your starbound.log file via pastebin link or something would be the best way to troubleshoot it, but no promises.
A close approximation of the Dante swords would be the sp-breakthroughblade if you could try spawning one of those and trying it, that could help as well.
I'm assuming it's spawning the weapon and holding it out directly in front of the player? Or is it breaking at some point during the attack?

I can't swing the upgraded versions of Dante's sword only the first one. I've noticed it happen with one other sword from another mod also. Do you have any idea what's causing this?

@sebascz95 most of the items with unique inputs should have the inputs in their tooltips. [WalkAlt] indicates you need to be walking (holding shift) and right-click, and [CrouchAtk] indicates you can get a unique ability by left-clicking while crouching.
If your item doesn't have something listed like that, you may need to further upgrade it along its path before the special moves unlock in a later iteration of the weapon, or no unique inputs are available for that weapon category yet (Oni weapons don't have unique inputs, for example)

According to their mod description, they shouldn't be affecting my weapons at all, since they only target a select few broadswords to change the animation files for.
Unless the mod is affecting EVERY broadsword, even modded ones and reverting certain ones back to the default pose, in which case, there's not much I can do about that.

hey heads up the dark-souls like broadsword idle from magnus does not work with the broadsword classified weapons incase you did not know before.

so i think one of the weapons wound up getting broken for the most recent update. more specifically the demon greatblade is no longer usable and just remains as an idle sprite in the character's hands.

yeah, Nimbus Flight was one of my earliest additions, before the mod expanded into what it is now. As I moved away from having FU items in my recipes, it ended up getting more and more simple to craft. Lots of players appreciate the free mobility it offers, so I haven't bothered with nerfing it. I will eventually tweak the recipe to make it harder to craft though.

The flight tech in this mod seems pretty OP for how early on you can get it and at such a low cost, the flight is also nearly infinite aswell , it makes upgrading tech in FU or any other mod kinda pointless when you can just skip to the top tier stuff

glad you're having fun. I've got plans around that angle yes. Holiday season has me a bit busier than usual, and I've got a few other implementations before pressing forward with new techs.
I originally planned to have the katanas be 1-handed with the possibility of wielding other weapons alongside it, but the project evolved beyond that and most of my items are 2-handed now. The lack of abilities on the katana weapons is a hold-over from the start of the project and will be fixed. I'll probably add Judgement Cut as a charged attack to a few of them.

@Uksshikosagfk Soul Hourglass should be craftable with the C menu. I've heard a lot of people who use FU say that it doesn't appear in their crafting list, so that might answer your other question. "FU compatible" is a nebulous concept that is subject to change at any given time. Generally, I just tell them to spawn it with admin commands. /spawnitem sp-soulhourglass

@Jacob I do have plans for further development of the mod, we'll say. A near-future addition will be giving charged attacks and movement tweaks to more of the advanced weapons. While I don't think SDT's Judgement is particularly applicable here (it'd be a LOT of posing and projectile work), I do have some ideas. Glad you're enjoying the mod. At the moment, I'm baking up new additions for weapons and armors. Life's getting busy though, so no telling when I'll push the update.

Absolutely love the mod! The different forms and animations on all of these weapons insanely good. Same goes for the armour sets. Though I was wondering if the SDT forms from Devil May Cry will ever be added into the mod ? Also I do think that if the final Demon King Blade special was something resembling the Judgement move from DMC as a good AOE attack, it would look even cooler. Anyway, amazing work!

@Myrensune they are special weapons, and to unlock their recipes, you need to pick them up first. They populate as loot in the world currently, like in chests. Eventually, I'll have more viable method for crafting them outright and remove them from loot tables, but for now, I figured they'd be better suited for unique find-able loot with the option to craft duplicates as you find them.

@sebascz95 If I do add anything GG related, it'll be much later down the line I think. Got a lot on my plate before the big 1.0 release, and a litany of other planned after. Trying to get the mod to be considered "finished" for that sense of accomplishment, ya know? So I'm gonna try to double down on necessary additions and fixes that will lead to that complete product, while shoving everything else to the back. I'll likely add some unique transformations like I did with BackyardTyrant though.

loved the new forms/ triggers, specially the Backyard Tyrant, which made me wonder if there is plans to add a sol badguy and dragon install armor or weapons. its always a delight to see this mod updated!
