Hi! buildings look great, but many of them are missing windows, and probably all are missing air vents. from aesthetic point it may be sometimes better, but what i liked about streets of rogue is the number of options you can take to finish the quest - and air vents/windows are staples in that matter. if you could add them id enjoy this mod much more

SoV1-2 predate CCU so it's definitely another issue for those and SoV3 should start normally without the mod (you just won't have full functionality for some NPCs, but it doesn't crash or anything like that). Unfortunately I don't understand tech issues enough to even guess what could be going wrong, sometimes the SoR workshop just seems to break down for no apparent reason (I can't even update any of these old packs for example, at some point it just forgot that all the in-game files are supposed to point here and that's that).

I got some visual glitches on some chunks, the one specifically I remember is the one with all the water and the werewolf swimming around. Water seemed to overlap areas improperly as I swam around.

Uhm... havent played a lot with your pack, but I wanted to ask: Is it normal that actors make the speech sfx without the speech bubble? Like one is on a stand and tries to talk but nothing comes out of their mouths like he's mute or something?

Yeah, I reported it on bug reports here in our discussions/forum on steam, I would have liked it if the support from the devs remained since I got few answers, shapeshifter issues can be quite gamebreaking but I only seem to replicate it using mods, which in truth, takes the blame out of the dev's hand, but.. lately it wasn't strictly custom npcs y'know, I been getting it with Cops/hobos, you seem very familiar with the issue.. that's kinda frustrating.

Actually I think all custom shapeshifters are still broken when possessing custom characters, I reported a similar (or maybe the same, it's not entirely clear) bug while playing as Actor back when the custom NPC update was added and while I remember something about a shapeshifting bug being fixed in some patch notes since then I'm pretty sure I've experienced this again since then.

It would be great if you'd report the bug directly to Matt in the discord group, I can try to recreate it and report it again myself but custom content bugs seem to be really low priority right now and having more people making reports might change that.

Hello Cyan Light, I would like to report that your new custom character npcs are breaking the game when you possess them with a Shapeshifter custom character that has the Zombiism trait,

I've done some testing and yeah, it's your custom character npcs, you can try it yourself with shapeshifter custom character that has Zombiism trait that turns npcs into zombies

What happens is that when you possess these new custom character npcs, your custom character shapeshifter with zombiism gains their traits and objectives, changing the entire game narrative, this bug is so persistent it will constantly change objectives whenever you change levels or possess someone else "gaining their traits and objectives"

I checked again on the chuncks and I still don't see it. Is there a limit on how many chunck packs you can have downloaded?

If open the chunk pack itself in the editor there is an option to extract the chunks, which will put them in the folder with any other chunks you might have. Then you can just make a new chunk pack and only select the ones you want to keep. You can also use this to edit any of the chunks if you just want to tweak a few details.

The custom NPCs are all posted to the workshop under their in-game names so they should be easy to search for. I think you can also navigate to them through my profile somewhere if that's easier.

How can I edit this chunk pack to take out chunks I don't like and Where can I find these custom npc?

It should show up as Streets of Variety in-game as well.

None of the chunks exclusive to the mayor village have variants in this pack, but that shouldn't cause any issues. Even if you check the box to exclude vanilla chunks I'm pretty sure it automatically fills any gaps from the vanilla files anyway. If you're getting the bug where it gets stuck loading forever that's just something that happens in the game (thankfully very rarely now, he's been good about squashing that one it seems) and nothing to do with this pack, if some other issue is happening with generation I'd need to know specifics to be able to tell if it's something in the chunks.

You forgot to add the speech podium and the evidence bank as part of the chunk pack so the final mission in Mayor Village basically is uncompletable.

I returned the neutralize quest to the Spoopy House now that the update is out. If anyone somehow gets a ghost as a target again anyway let me know and I'll take it back out but it does look like the bug is gone.

Updated it, just moved the elevator back slightly. Turns out you found a weird new bug, if you instantly walk into the pit you get teleported outside the map like that but if you move around first before falling off in that exact same spot it will put you back on the ground as normal. Reported it so hopefully that'll get fixed too but it's probably not something that will come up in many other chunks.

and may be worth noting that it attempted to re-spawn me at what appeared to be the lower left hand corner of the map, just outside of it on a black space. Like the very corner. repeatedly..

For the pit spawning, did you have any other packs active? There are quite a few pits in various chunks but nothing that should spawn you into a pit and infinitely murder you, so it sounds like either that or a bug. I'll try to recreate it with the elevator on a walkway just in case, you should reappear on the walkway after falling but maybe there is a weird spot where it breaks down for some reason.

The mayor village loading issue seems to just be an issue with chunk packs in general, I've had it happen several times myself with both mine and other people's packs. This one doesn't change anything at all about the chunk types unique to mayor village so I don't think there is anyway to fix that, hopefully it'll get patched in the next update but until then that's probably just a risk of using any custom content right now.

I've finished multiple games using this pack without a problem, but this time it bugged on the final level: no mayor.

installed this and the elevator pack. First level, stepped forward into a 25x25 black pit. then proceeded to spawn repeatedly into a black pit.

Sorry, I've been lazy and kept putting it off for no good reason. Just uploaded all of them now, including the Barber that will be coming in Streets of Variety 2 (only about 20% done on that so don't expect it anytime soon).

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'm really happy people are still enjoying this. Still updating issues as I find them and should have more substantial releases coming in the near-ish future. Almost done with a much less ambitious pack of about 50 new elevators, then I might finish off another side project or two before really focusing on the sequel pack.

Still no word from Matt on the ghost bug so I just went ahead with a little update. Fixing that chunk (just changed the quest from the vampire to a crate in the same room) and adding doors to the power plant generators are the main changes based on feedback here but there are also some other minor improvements for issues I've noticed while playing, you can see the full list under the change notes above. Thanks for the feedback so far, I'll keep looking for ways to improve the pack and checking here for any other problems you guys find.

Yeah, balance goes completely out the window in this pack which is why I'd only really recommend it for people that have exhausted the vanilla game enough that something like that doesn't really matter anymore. I encourage people to remove any chunks they don't want from their own copy of the pack though, taking out the gun shop, pharmacy and resistance office should make it more enjoyable for you if you don't like randomly being offered a bunch of items and experience. The Refrigerated Storage hideouts could also be cut since they provide a tooooon of easy to get food.

I've been trying out a lot of chunk packs and this one certainly adds a lot of variety.
However I dislike that some of the buildingh have like, 6 chests in it. Thematically it might make sense but gameplay wise it's very overpowered.
Not only is it access to a lot of strong items, but it's also a huge amount of xp.
I know that I can simply not open the chests, but then it kinda ruins the feel of it.

That's a doozy of bug, this pack doesn't touch any of the Mayor Village specific chunks though so I'd assume there was either another pack or maybe if you tried to exclude vanilla chunks that messed it up somehow. If you have the output file definitely go drop it in the discord, whatever the cause Matt prooobably doesn't want a bug like that in the game.

Steel or glass? That sounds like the power plants, but there should be explosive barrels next to the glass with a 100 percent chance of spawning. If they aren't showing up that might be another bug, I'll try to recreate it and report it as well. If that isn't the chunk you're talking about it might be from another pack.

There is a building with 4 generators and I'm required to destroy one of them. The thing is, it's surrounded by steel walls and there is no entry. How do you get in without a rocket launcher?

Ah, the ammo thing didn't occur to me since I had mutators on so I guess that's on my part.

And yes, I had other chunk packs active so I guess I'll look into those. Overall, I still am enjoying this pack and am happy you're still maintaining it.

I checked the ghost chunk and none of them are important so that shouldn’t happen, reported it as a bug and if it doesn't get fixed soon I'll update the pack with some solution. Until then people can remove it (It's "SoV Spoopy House"), remove parks or just hope they don't get unlucky since as a 2x2 cabin it's very rare to spawn and half the time you get an item retrieval quest that will work. For the other chunk, I think you had another pack loaded since that doesn't sound like anything in this. Double-checked all the caves to be sure and none of them extend to the border.

Ice cops run out of ammo eventually, you can remove those chunks from your version of the pack though which is easy enough I'd rather leave things like that in for the people that might enjoy them. Thanks for reporting your issues, I want this to be something that makes the game more fun rather than randomly killing runs due to sloppy design flaws.

And now I got softlocked by an Ice Cop who just keeps shooting me while I'm frozen, keeping me frozen forever.

But yeah, as amazingly designed and extremely varied this chunk pack is, it needs some kinks worked out.

By the way, the chunk that blocked me was a cave with a bunch of different NPCs in it, which i think included a vampire, a werewolf, a resistance leader and the like. It had a safe and a backroom from what I can remember.

The ghost chunk was quite large and was composed of a couple ghosts wandering around a huge building with dirt tiles surrounding it with trees and gravestones on them. That's all I could remember of it.
