Thank you for this wonderful map! Very well done especially as a first timer.

Thank you for this map. I was looking for something where I could use all modes of transport. This map lets you utilize trains, ships, and airports in an efficient manner. Its also great looking and fun to play.

Every single time I come back to transport fever 2, I'm constantly looking for a map that beats this map. The map is realistic, yet entirely fictional and game play minded. I especially love the variation in the town sizes (and demands) as well as the way different parts of the map truly feel like different regions with their own specialty. as for now, I've given up finding a map that can beat this one - so I'll be enjoying it again. Thank you!

Thank you for this map which is really beautiful and very detailed.

@Papa4Five Yes! It is now very close to being released! I took a small break from the game to focus on my job and my study, which explains my inactivity for awhile. Besides that, everything is going well, as I hope the same goes for you!
Papa4Five 20 Oct, 2020 @ 10:03am
Still hoping to play your new map. Any news on that? Hope everything is well

Hello
Thank you for this wonderful card with a lot of details. A pleasure to play

I gotta say, this is an amazing map! I really love the custom hand-placed (at least I think it's hand-placed, looks like it) roads you built for the cities. It adds a whole lot of character and is honestly way better than just plopping down a city and calling it a day.

I can also appreciate the industries being integrated into the city industrial areas, they fit surprisingly well. Beautiful work on the fields also!
And it's also a nice thought to have only the larger cities accepting cargo too.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Wow, very nice

@Papa4Five If you take a look at my artwork, you will see recent news and updates on the map. 3/4 of the map is done, but the mountain area (the remaining 1/4) is very difficult and takes a lot of time. I will be posting a new screenshot tomorrow (in artwork) about the progress.
Papa4Five 30 Jun, 2020 @ 12:52pm
Any news on the new map?

Geweldig! Gewoon geweldig!
Bedankt!

@ mc_pater I see what you mean, but if its not too much trouble I like to start with no infrastructure. The gap that they leave will not be an issue as I can fill them with truck stops or population growth etc. I also intend to try out the scenario version aswell. What I enjoy the most is the way you custom place resources and factories. It is a harder challenge than random placement and makes sense that they are near the population centres. Thanks for asking
Christiaan58  [author] 10 May, 2020 @ 5:04am
@ Corporal Cal I think I will be able to make a version without the pre-layed track, as it is quite easy to just remove the tracks. However, would you prefer the stations to be removed too? The cities and villages are purposely grown around the station. I will be uploading some screenshots on the artwork page in the next few days, in which some pre-layed can be seen. Not every station will be connected however, only the mainline (just two tracks) will be built. I look forward to hearing your opinion!
Corporal Cal 10 May, 2020 @ 4:32am
I just noticed your comment below stating it will be a large 1:1. Is it possible to have a modified version that doesn't contain pre-laid train lines? Either way I look forward to it and thank you.
Corporal Cal 10 May, 2020 @ 4:28am
I downloaded and looked at this map. I like the detail you put into each town and city and the terrain looks natural and varied. However I don't enjoy the long 'corridor' maps. Is your next project going to be the same? I know this map took a long time as you say and I know a large or maga map will be much more time consuming, but I wonder if you plan to make such a map.

I like your work and would like to see more.
Papa4Five 8 May, 2020 @ 4:48am
Great, I can´t wait
Christiaan58  [author] 8 May, 2020 @ 4:17am
@Papa4Five At the moment I am quite busy with a research project, so I don't expect it to be finnished next week unfortunately. However, half of the map is done and detailed, a quarter of the map needs to be landscaped (mountain) and when that is done, I will be detailing the other half of the map (Fields, industries and forests). It is a large 1:1 map with one big city, four medium cities and some villages. It is a kind of scenario based map with allready some track layed down, comparable to the german scenario in the campain with the ICE1 and the year will be 1962.
Papa4Five 8 May, 2020 @ 3:49am
Awesome! Thank you. When can we expect your next map?
Christiaan58  [author] 1 May, 2020 @ 12:44pm
@wabbithunta Removing all the rocks in the map will take an enormous amount of time, so I am sorry to deny your request. However, I am working on a new map in which there are only rocks in the places where they seem natural.
wabbithunta 1 May, 2020 @ 11:32am
Can you remove all those rocks please as they're really annoying. I have a mod that does it but for some reason it won't remove them from the game when loading it. Thanks in advance.
Hambo XV 13 Apr, 2020 @ 11:36am
As in like the 600+ cities crush down to like 150 pop etc
Christiaan58  [author] 13 Apr, 2020 @ 10:03am
@Hambo XV absolutely not, have you tried running it without mods enabled?
Hambo XV 13 Apr, 2020 @ 5:57am
Looks amazing, then I Unpause and lots deletes. Is that to be expected?
viranto 8 Apr, 2020 @ 6:34am
Sadly the cities destroy the Fields

The 1:4 is really good.
Trym 7 Feb, 2020 @ 7:12am
This is the best map I have tried so far. And Ihave tried many.
Thank you :) I hope you make more.
I like long hauls and a few demanding towns. :)

@mcGreen oops, fixed it now!

Seems like the starting year is 1850 not 1950

Finally a map I'm excited about starting on...
Slinbkk 3 Feb, 2020 @ 1:07am
thanks for the great map! :selike:
Christiaan58  [author] 2 Feb, 2020 @ 1:27pm
Thank you all for the great feedback!!! I plan to make more maps with such detail in the future, but unfortunaly, I am quite busy. Dispite that, I am thinking of a bit hilly medium 1:1 map, with 1 big city, a few medium citiies and here and there a small village (and of course the usual detailing). I am open for feedback or other ideas!!!
-=BFU=- Arctic 2 Feb, 2020 @ 12:22pm
Great map, well done!
intelfan 2 Feb, 2020 @ 6:22am
Sooo nice but 1:4? It would be so much better if you can make long train lines in every direction.
Custer85 2 Feb, 2020 @ 3:33am
This is one of the best maps I have played so far. I was very reluctant to download maps at all because most people just create them from hight maps and plot random cities and industries on them without touching up some of the most glaring issues.
This is not one of those maps! Its a very well crafted, hand-made map with nicely placed industries, beautiful towns and landscapes.
It is very easy to make money, so its also very well suited for beginners and the terrain near the river is rather flat and cheap to build on. The industries and towns that demand the products are on oposite ends of the map, making long trains very very efficient and generating alot of cash.

thank you mc_pater for creating this map and putting all that work into it!
Flywheel 2 Feb, 2020 @ 1:38am
As the Duck says, wonderful map, thanks for sharing
donmiwi 1 Feb, 2020 @ 8:53am
One of the few maps which looks like really worth to upload. Not comparable with the ususally uploaded pointless crap. Looks really nice.
