Decided to go ahead and update the collection, as the new ammo mod will take some time to be released. I am guessing anyway.

A recomendation for another addition; PawnTargetFix.
Makes pawns shoot at the closest target/target most likely to be hit more often. That's it.

'Stabilize Here'
literially just start patching them on the spot by command, its without meds so the tending might be much poorer but, they wont bleed out on you, and it tends to anyone, enemy, animal, or friendly.

Funny enough I had both mods installed at one point, and they both worked XD, just some odd ways about it,
(you need not be assigned to doctoring/nursing to use med bags, but you need to be assigned to do stablizing actions with both mods active.)
Dont recommend that though as it got confusing til I realized I had both, and just stuck with Stablize here.

If you check the discussion "Collection Updates" I have a planned addition to this list. It will be a little less save-friendly (slightly harder to remove mods, still fine to add them mid-game). However I'm still waiting for the new Attrition mod to be released, which will take the place of the ammo mod currently.

Agreed, I wish there was a better implementation of the field medic tending feature, but for now it's the best option I can find to quickly and temporarily stabilize bleeding. I like to think of it as hemostatic gauze vs sutures.

I love this mod collection idea, as i already use about 4 of them anyways.
however I dont like field medic as the medic bag takes the waist slot..... really wished the shield belts didnt take that slot or the med bags didnt....
And hesitate to use the ammo mod for resasons too long to type here.

but nice application of adding them all in a group, Bravo, I will be watching this group of mods.

Will changes made by this collection apply to races from Alien Races Framework ??
Dr Zhivago  [author] 9 Apr, 2020 @ 1:45pm
Maybe, have to look at the animations.

will you replace Yayo's Combat 2 with the new Yayo's Combat 3 version?
Dr Zhivago  [author] 13 Mar, 2020 @ 1:45am
@BigSweatyHotWing; this is possible, and some mod authors have decided to do this. It is not always reasonable and sometimes just not desired.

The collection broke for a while specifically due to the fact that 1.1 was a destructive RimWorld update. Finding the "new" mods was a lesser problem.
BigSweatyHotWing 12 Mar, 2020 @ 1:51pm
@jpnm92 no, I mean I read that 1.1 has version support for mods, meaning you can have a workshop mod that includes two versions in it for 1.1 and 1.0, so you wouldn't need to make a new workshop item for the 1.1 version of your mod.

Collection updated to 1.1
Grumpy Old Man 27 Feb, 2020 @ 2:03pm
@BigSweatyHotWing not yet the only mod that's supported yet is Supreme Melee
BigSweatyHotWing 26 Feb, 2020 @ 7:29pm
@Dr Zhivago Isn't there version support for mods in the newest update?
Dr Zhivago  [author] 21 Feb, 2020 @ 3:45pm
Unfortunately RimWorld 1.1 is going to break this collection. If you plan to use it in 1.0 you need to make local copies of these mods ASAP. I will probably not be updating this collection to 1.1 for some time. I apologize for the down-time that will occur, but the simplest way for me to update this will be to wait and see how the mods handle 1.1, which mods are obsolete, and which newer mods will be added. 1.0 and 1.1 are meant to be cross-compatible, but 1.1 will break mods using C#.

Thanks for the quick feedback Dr Zhivago

I have added the mod list (with links) to the Mod Suggestion discussion (I had missed this before, sorry).

I completely understand your desire to keep the flavor close to vanilla. Though for what it's worth, it should be noted that the more drastic mods (e.g. "Run and Gun" and "Giddy Up!" which you identified specifically) have mod settings that allow various mechanics to be adjusted; e.g. it is possible to easily implement severe accuracy/movement penalties to help maintain balance. Just something to consider before dismissing them :)

In any case, I look forward to seeing this mod collection grow! Thanks again.
Dr Zhivago  [author] 14 Feb, 2020 @ 7:41pm
As for the follow-up question. I don't think any of them are too complex, however I am trying to keep some flavor of Vanilla in this collection, so things like "Run and Gun" and "Giddy Up" probably won't be included directly, but other mods that I find may fit in well and be of interest I'll include at the bottom of the description page as "other" mods to look into.
Dr Zhivago  [author] 14 Feb, 2020 @ 7:39pm
@racso; Thanks for the input. I've been a bit busy lately, but I do intend to add on to this list.

A few of your recommended mods are already planning to be included. I'll have a look at some of the others. If you could provide some links to the mods in the discussion "Mod Suggestions" that would help expedite the process.

This is a great collection that was recommended to me as an alternative to Combat Extended. Thank you for putting it together! With these mods I can still enhance combat gameplay (similar to CE), but without having to worry about the balance/compatibility issues that come with CE.

I am curious, have you tried any of the following mods, and if so have you considered adding them to this awesome collection?:

[XND] Proper Shotguns
[XND] Targeting Modes
Gear Up and Go
Transport Downed Pawns
Search and Destroy
RunAndGun
Damage Indicators
Simple Sidearms
Vanilla Weapons Expanded
Vanilla Weapons Expanded - Quickdraw
Vanilla Armour Expanded
Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Security (requires Vanilla Furniture Expanded Core)
Giddy-up! Battle Mounts (requires Giddy-up! Core)
Misc Training
Avoid Friendly Fire
Where is my weapon?
Defensive Positions

Do you consider any of these to be too complex or unbalanced?
Dr Zhivago  [author] 1 Feb, 2020 @ 9:57pm
Haha thanks jp, probably going to add onto it a bit with the mods in the discussion. However I'm pretty happy with how it preforms so far.
