Wonderful extension. I would like to suggest a new feature, which would be to indicate the type of relic in the tooltip when hovering a relic. There are Common, Uncommon, Rare, Shop, Boss, and Event relics, so I'd like to see the type of relic indicated by the first letter of the type, e.g. "Paper Krane (U)", "Runic Pyramid (B)".

Hi there, I've had trouble getting this to work and I'm wondering if I may have finally found the issue. When booting up (modded) Spire, I noticed this message:

"This mod explicitly supports StS 07-30-2020.
You are running StS 03-07-2022.
You may encounter problems running it."

Any ideas how to fix this?

Sorry, not sure where to post a bug report. I'm getting a crash when using the Arknights mod and this one together. The crash occurs when starting or continuing a run using an Arknight character. I feel like it's probably on Arknights' end but I thought I'd post here as well in case. Thanks for the mod, it's fantastic, and you are fantastic.

"Saving a Secret" is not working for me still, in Twitch extensions, still giving an error

So the issue with saving a secret with the extension on Twitch is now finally resolved! Twitch has changed one of its policies which broke the process and recently I finally gotten around to fixing it and going through the review process one more time (it's quite a pain and can take weeks) but today they finally approved it and I released the new version which works just fine. Enjoy ;)

also @Patrick - the map view was the next logical step but it's been a while since I've been developing features for the extension, it's unlikely I will get to it.

also consider donating guys, this is a passion project that took a ****load of time to make and still requires my time and money to keep it going (server cost, maintenance, twitch changes, ...). If you want to see this extension keep running in the future it really does make a difference.

there was a bug in baalor lords stream where evolve+ had no image so it was just a red card

@LordAddy I tried using the console to add/remove a relic, and no matter what, the overlay was always ahead of the game by a few seconds. i.e. you would hover over the relic would be, and it would show the relic info, then the relic would appear on the video a few seconds later. Changing the delay setting had no effect on it at all. Not sure if I misunderstand exactly what it's for.

@MigrantP great to hear a confirmation that it is working, can you elaborate on not being able to sort out the delay? It allows you to counteract the delay introduced by your PC encoding and subsequently by Twitch processing your frames. If the additional delay setting were not there, in most cases the extension would update faster than the video. Btw you don't need to restart the game for changes in delay to take effect.

@LordAddy Thanks! I hadn't been streaming Slay the Spire much lately, but I tested the update out tonight and it worked great! The only thing I couldn't sort out was the delay setting, it didn't seem to have any effect (even after restarting Slay the Spire completely). That's a pretty minor thing though for sure =)

@Lindinha only Basemod. Once you subscribe to the mod, Steam should handle this for you. You can see the dependencies here in the right panel under "Required Items". Also the Mod launcher doesn't let you launch the game with mods without proper dependencies.

what are the other mods necessary to run the app on Ttv?

@MigrantP so after the lastest updates the extension should now work on Mac and Linux as well.

Thanks for the cool extension! I am trying to get it set up on Mac but not having luck getting it to work. I tried putting slaytherelics_config.txt in the same folder as Slay the Spire, as well as inside the app bundle with the executable, but it doesn’t connect.

Is it possible to see if the mod is able to load the config file? That would help at least knowing whether it’s able to read it.

Also might be worth noting, a friend of mine on Windows wasn’t able to get it to work either, so it’s possibly a bigger issue going on.

@Gabriellezer the issue has been fixed a while ago, Twitch changed their API, so the registration on the config page didn't work for 2 weeks or so. It is working now though.

@peteanderson98 so as I mentioned below there is an update on the way waiting for review by Twitch and in that I have also made the relic hitboxes slightly taller at the bottom, so you should be able to comfortably view the relics even up to 150% zoom. I suppose that people with vision disability use zoom regularly as well, so I figured it might be a good idea to support zoom at least to some degree. And it's just the right amount so that it doesn't feel weird - like you're hovering over empty space.

@DaukashGaming yes this is an issue that I already knew about, I have fixed it and the updated version is already submitted to Twitch for review. The review will take anywhere from 1 day to couple of weeks and then the fix will be live. Even though it seemed like a Firefox issue it actually showed up on Chrome as well, only in a more subtle way. So the viewer experience will be even better with this update everywhere as it should remove all minor issues like the tooltips disappearing for an instant right when the extension was being updated with new info. It should be silky smooth when this goes live.

@lordaddy - it's definitely a function of my zoom settings - I watch streams via an HTPC connected to my television, and have my view/zoom settings set to >100% for better viewing. Thanks again for this very cool mod.

Really awesome work though - love the ability to reference things when I brain fart exact numbers.

For what it is worth, since Jorbs has been running this on his channel I have intermittently had difficulty typing in his chat. Random letters just won't be recognized and I have to type very slowly and press them multiple times. His stream audio also cuts for me a lot. Only happens on his channel and only since he has been running this mod. Let me know if you want any information about computer and specs and such. Not sure how the extension would be doing this, but I thought I would let you know since it is localized to his channel and since he started using the extension and doesn't happen anywhere else. Oh and it only happens on Firefox and not Chrome.

I think that's a fair point to be made. That said, however, for people like Jorbs I'm sure he gets asked that a LOT. It might be beneficial to implement with a spoiler warning first, and then let the player view it. Regardless, maybe that's for after you reach that ascension level.

@peteanderson98 it works, you just have to hover around the title, below it, above it, etc. The basic twitch player components will always be displayed above any extension, that's the way it is. You have trouble hovering over the relics even below the title? Are you on 100% zoom? Higher zoom levels could theoretically cover the relics. I might make the registering area a bit taller to display tooltips even a bit below the relics.

@Awesome3475 it is possible but I don't wanna do it as it is a form of spoiler for newer players. If someone wants to know the ascension modifiers they can just look them up. I have not reached asc 20 yet myself and I don't know all the modifiers on purpose, I want to be surprised by every new level I reach.

very cool mod - well done. I'm having trouble making it function when in full screen as a viewer - the Twitch stream info/title dropdown obscures the relics bar and won't let me mouse over. Other users report that they can use as a viewer in fullscreen without issue. Thanks!

Hey there LordAddy! I'm just tuning on Jorbs' twitch stream, and it's a great mod to have on stream! I do have one question though - is it possible to code the mod to let the players view the ascension modifiers when they scroll over it?

Hope I'm not being super intrusive by asking!

@KettouRyuujin you find it on Twitch in the extensions section, soon (say 1-2 weeks). There have been unfortunate delays going through the Twitch review process - it can take a lot of time. But on the flipside, a lot more features than presented here will be included.
