Great looking map. Would be great to see a top down map view and some POI - and size of the sea vs land mass.

@Gazpa Nova You can ignore a mod's dependency at any time in the Arma 3 Launcher and launch it standalone, it will just prompt you not to do so, I believe it should work that way.

I'm not planning to further update this terrain as most of the work was done in 2017 before I abandoned it then rounded it up for publishing in early 2020, let alone it not being the quality standard I'd like to have nowadays, and I'm working on other projects now.

Can you remove CUP Terrains as a dependency, so we can choose between CUP Terrains and CUP Terrains 2.0?

@Crom I just loaded up the map (Djalka + CUP Terrain - Core addons) and it works fine on my end, I don't see any buildings missing. You may wanna either redownload or verify either Djalka or CUP Terrain - Core, or maybe check if any other mods you may be running are causing the issue.

@Crom are you running the required mods? You need CUP Terrains - Core. I made most of this terrain before Livonia and it's Arma 2 ported structures were added to the base game.

This is a wonderful map, but unfortunately too many of the buildings are missing. Anyone know a fix for this?

Dear Vectif, I found your Djalka map only yeasterday. Can't imagine, you made my day! What I like and appreciate most:

1. Years ago I thought, it could be fun to create a "merged scenarios" by using both Arma3 and Dangerous Waters. Not at the same time and in the same physical environment of course, but using these two simulators in a row: for instance US Task Force approaching an island in order to conduct a naval invasion - played with DW - and then operations on land played with Arma. The only problem was that there was no suitable real life island model in Arma3: not huge, not small, in the right place. Often I thought South Georgia could fit... and now you have done it!
2. I think you have made down scaling with care: this remote island fits very well for a reinforced bataillon to keep.
3. That you chose to make a "real-life model" is a huge plus!

@Belisario that would be proper. Realistically, none of these cities actually exist in the South Georgias, and there's a lot less trees; so you'd be even closer to the real thing! Glad to hear you're being creative with it

@HankTrill I can look into fixing that but it's just a harmless popup error. Probably inherited a line of code when I was trying to figure out CfgEnvSounds for the terrain that I leftover around the time I made it. I may try to get back to fixing that after I'm done with Bastek (my other terrain I'm currently working on). Cheers!

looks pretty good but I think it would be a lot better if all the structures and outdoor props on the map had snow on them. Might want to change the models and textures of the buildings to do that

the "snow" in this map is made to replace the "rain", therefore you can not make it rain on this map, it only snows. You can have clear weather without rain and all, just not rain itself.

Hey Geoffry, to disable the 'falling snow' you have to change the in-game weather, set the "Rain" parameter to 0.

Hey! Just released an update adding three new locations; Fuegian, Nasua, and Warrah! They are three islands located to the north of the towns of Correa and Soto. Hope you like them! Enjoy!

Hey, thanks everyone for the great feedback, kind comments, and suggestions. It means a lot to me and I read them all. It's been really wonderful seeing people's reaction to the terrain and it definitely was well worth it working on it very hard, I am really glad people appreciate this as much as I do, and it's awesome seeing people playing it and enjoying it. So thanks everyone who's downloaded the mod so far, and everyone who's taken the time to rate, favourite, comment, and make suggestions!

I'd like to also leave a link to my post on the BI forums, where you'll be able to see future updates and what I'm working on. I'm currently planning on adding 3 new bridges connecting to 3 islands which were previously empty, and to populate them with buildings and factories!
