would be great to have this Beauty without hydrogen and another new block hydrogen generator. If I am using tons of other mods, than this is little distractive
Clarathecat 2 Feb, 2024 @ 12:32pm
I'm going to have a lot of fun testing this with aerodynamic physics

Would you mind if it use this in my Server Planet Mod Pack. I would put credit and link back to this mod in the description :)

Red Coralian 11 Feb, 2022 @ 3:51pm
Are you still working on this?
Vodka 5 Dec, 2021 @ 12:16pm
:masonfist: Beautifull, i love!!
Slader Harkeness 3 May, 2021 @ 1:35pm
it would be really interesting to have a vent that could harvest hydrogen in trace amounts from the atmo on this planet
Black 29 Apr, 2021 @ 3:05pm
Who is the hydrogen generator pls
Naniyori Mo Ningen 23 Dec, 2020 @ 7:47pm
why is it so BRIGHT
Mantha 8 Oct, 2020 @ 2:54pm
Okay, thanks
Apothicon  [author] 8 Oct, 2020 @ 2:34pm
it comes with it
Mantha 8 Oct, 2020 @ 2:28pm
So this addon comes with the new hydrogen generator block, or does it require another mod?
SkyRaze 2 Apr, 2020 @ 11:25am
thanks!
Apothicon  [author] 1 Apr, 2020 @ 8:32am
Releasing a fix for the hydrogen generator not showing up. I finally found the issue.
[RS] Bartas 1 Apr, 2020 @ 8:22am
yeah, too bad. Generator not showing for me too :(
lordofspearton 29 Mar, 2020 @ 5:07pm
Hydrogen generator isn't showing up in game?
SkyRaze 24 Mar, 2020 @ 4:01pm
im not seeing the hydrogen generator
eod696 14 Mar, 2020 @ 9:20pm
@Apothicon I made a world with both of em :D

I have a rover-based system I've been working on for a minute I think I will use this to perfect it, w00t!
eod696 14 Mar, 2020 @ 6:31pm
@Apothicon that's flippin awesome! thanks!
Apothicon  [author] 14 Mar, 2020 @ 11:19am
Apothicon  [author] 14 Mar, 2020 @ 10:18am
i could make a blue one without rings
eod696 14 Mar, 2020 @ 9:41am
Ok, this is flippin genius, major ! This planet contains a core of voxels and an extremely large armosphere to provide the appearance of a gas giant. This lets it get rEALLY big, which is perfect! Only thing I wish is that I could find another gas giant using this technique that doesn't have rings and and is a different color (for a bit of variety). Other ringless giants I've found are only 120k wide, which makes them look like moons compared to this monstrosity, lol.

Awesome work on this! My new favorite.
eod696 11 Mar, 2020 @ 12:14pm
sweet, Imma get this one cuz it doesnt need the nitrus :D
yellow51 8 Mar, 2020 @ 9:35am
Okay. This is cool.
xXPinkFloyd92Xx 22 Feb, 2020 @ 10:06pm
Word Cool Planet Thank you very nice work!
Apothicon  [author] 22 Feb, 2020 @ 6:29pm
yeah this one has no dependencies, the reason step 1 still is there is because i copy and pasted it from my other gas giant. Thanks for pointing that out tho i will remove it.
xXPinkFloyd92Xx 22 Feb, 2020 @ 5:56pm
Didn't see any dependencies...
DeAnti 10 Feb, 2020 @ 6:18pm
nice this one is really cool
Airomis 10 Feb, 2020 @ 2:45pm
you could still use ion / atmo to get on the planet and back up just not hydrogen
Frontrider 10 Feb, 2020 @ 10:32am
That is the *other* gas giant in the system that I'm currently building. have not checked the authors, but I guess it makes sense why they'd be so similar. :millafp:

Also, kudos to the fact that it's actually visible from afar. Most modded planets just disappear into the distance.
Apothicon  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 10:25am
i have another gas giant of the same size on my workshop, its purple and has its own optional new tier of assemblers, refineries, thrusters, and custom gas if you are interested
Frontrider 10 Feb, 2020 @ 10:23am
I could only find exactly 2 planets on the workshop that can be used as gas giants, and this is one of them.
Apothicon  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 10:22am
true, but then it would take an insanely long time to get to the core
Frontrider 10 Feb, 2020 @ 10:18am
There is a reason to make it bigger: Get your planets to orbit a real gas giant.
Apothicon  [author] 10 Feb, 2020 @ 8:02am
that would kind of make the planet useless, but cool idea anyways
Airomis 10 Feb, 2020 @ 7:39am
Would be really cool if you could make hydrogen thrusters ignighting the gas form hydrogen and explode the thrusters or ship
Apothicon  [author] 8 Feb, 2020 @ 7:30am
yes, the cloud layers do scale when you make the core bigger. I am not sure however the exact size of the cloud layers.
dennisbuskenstrom 8 Feb, 2020 @ 4:51am
Am I to asume that the "solid core" is 19 km and the cloud layer is the size of an 120 km planet, and if I make it larger, the cloud layer will be larger as well?

It's a cool planet, but from the screenshots it looks more like a brown dwarf, which is even cooler.
