It'd be a patch, tho I doubt I'll be making it as modding isn't my forte, I'm only making the mod I'm making right now because all the mods I could find to do the same thing, where out of date and do it a vastly different way, being that they have you craft some sort of token or bag that gives you the item, instead of just straight crafting the item

If you make it compatible through a patch, this should be fine as long as it requires this mod and you credit me. If not a patch, you are not allowed to though.

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with FU, though it's nice to hear that it isn't as hard as I'd assume! I've actually started working on a mod to generate random items with crafting, so if I can get your permission, and I have the will power to, I'd love to make a Weapon Assembly compatibility mod!
though that does heavily rely on me being able and wanting after your permission is given

Assuming it isn't already, its doable and fairly easy, I just don't have the free time lately to do it... Thanks tho! The bows in vanilla are very underwhelming and i like bows so I decided to rework them, I believe Frackin' has my bows in it and are more maintained as well if you use it.

But will there ever be Weapon Assembly compatibility? I'd love to take these bows apart and reassemble them!
Though that'd just be a cherry on top, the bows on their own are one of my favorite modded weapons!

It is stable, WIP means there will probably be updates in the future, dunno yet.

I would like to request something I feel like is a small patch and I feel like could be made but some bows use 'arrow barrage' however they just aim straight up and you have to wait for them to land, could you possibly make a patch that allows you to aim the barrage in a different direction?

Scythes already exist in FU iirc, and gunblades are really cringe unfortunately.

nice mod, i can go through the game wielding an improved descendant of a primitive technology now capable as a combative weapon used for my basic survival. I must however request a set of arbitrarily number generated weapons consisting of either scythes and or gun blades, as those two seem to also tickle my fancy. Unfortunately, no one has done that yet, so you could be the first.

@Ungarr: I use the "Weapon Retrofitting Station" and it can combine bows and even "shift" abilities, you could try it.

While I could, I am currently preoccupied with a huge WIP mod that is nearing completion. I apologise, but you would have more luck asking the author of those mods to make compatibility. When I finish with my current few projects I will consider making the patch myself though.

i honestly just stayed away from ice bows anyways because ice dmg doesnt realy do anything in SB would love if elemental status effects would get an overhaul sometime

@FelmastProMcLane I had the same error, did some digging and found the possible culprit !
in " \projectiles\rngbows\powerarrows\rngicepowerarrowsticking.projectile " on line 111 there was indeed the .lua missing
So for anyone who encounters the same problem, you can edit the file to add .lua and it should work

@Ungarr That's possibly the same case as what was recently mentioned: A simple case where a ".lua" is missing. The author will get to it whenever they can.

I have had this error, it seems that some projectiles have "/projectiles/rngbows/arrowsticking"' instead of "projectiles/rngbows/arrowsticking.lua". (missing the .lua extention)

Pass me the actual error, it should be located in your log file, "/Starbound/storage/starbound.log" with no numbers on it, just starbound.log, paste the whole file into a pastebin and then link it here for me.

so thers no discussions but firing a randomly generated bow causes a error, the error hppens when a arrow is shot from a bow from this mod and it hits anythin and "sticks" the game soft crashes to menu with the bassis of "Exception caught in client main-loop (AssetException) Error Loading Asset /Projectiles/Rngbows/Arrowsticking" i tested it and its only perfect shots that are affected by this

The crash still exists, even with bows generated after the recent update. I spawned in 25 uncommon bows and 25 rare bows, 11/50 were ice. only those ice element bows cause the crash with their charge shots.

well to reply on this one you said that the projectile error was gone i was gonna post a picture of the error i had with a specific bow. specifically ice element bows crashed my game sending the error code (Exception caught in client main-loop (AssetException) Error loading asset /projectiles/scripts/thea-stickingprojectille.lua) this only ever happens with the ice bows whenever i get a perfect shot and only when i get perfect shot on ice element bows that and it also happens when i tap right click on an arrow storm bow but i just think thats a buggy bit from that modifier
