This will take you to the mod folder. Then make a new folder called icons and just drag the two .png files into the newly created folder. This should get the icons to appear in the inventory.
There shouldn't be an X actually. I made textures for the heads (they look like bloody bags) and they work fine for me. It might be the problem with how Kenshi's workshop works - I've seen some other mods like this one and they all had Xs instead of actual textures. I don't think I can fix it
