Just discovered this series. Made it through 0,1,2 so far. Quite challenging - if this is 2/10 I am in trouble! On to #3...
Thanks for making. :-)

Fun! This might be the fastest I've solved any of your maps. Blind run https://youtu.be/8i9E9BsMrcA
Mu'izz 3 Jan @ 2:51pm
This was a struggle but I actually solved it! Once realised what the signposting in the 2nd puzzle was, I figured it out.
Mikeastro  [author] 16 Dec, 2024 @ 10:11am
@Neverhood Thanks a lot! I hope you will continue to enjoy the rest of the series as well :]
Neverhood 16 Dec, 2024 @ 9:44am
This chambers are nice! They are small but the same time needs some time to think how to solve at least for me!
Mehmet 24 Sep, 2024 @ 2:50am
great, brilliant
UNDEFEAT 18 Sep, 2024 @ 6:38am
Ok, it doesn't help much in this specific map, but still :)
UNDEFEAT 18 Sep, 2024 @ 3:36am
Second puzzle I see that can be solved by using this technique (first one is "Juxtapose" by gigo).
I understand everyone understands it's not an intended solution, but is it so hard to make the "laser panel" 1 tile wide? :)

Got talos principle vibes from this one, very nice map
Mikeastro  [author] 1 Apr, 2024 @ 1:14pm
@sillymel You are too good at finding these haha, very impressive :cozycrashfish:
sillymel 1 Apr, 2024 @ 7:21am
Found another trapping possibility, this time involving the one of the grates in the first room: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/sillymel/screenshot/2485497501520155018/
(To execute it, make sure you're in the middle of the portal so you don't die when you move the portal you used to get in.)
sillymel 31 Mar, 2024 @ 8:19pm
Oh, and it's possible to skip the main trick in the first half, as seen in GraveNoX's playthrough on page 3, at around the three-minute mark. That playthrough appears to use jumping before portaling , but you can just stand in the portal while aiming, removing almost all of the execution difficulty for the cheese .
sillymel 29 Mar, 2024 @ 8:34pm
Wow! I don't think I've seen that trick where you use a moving platform to block a funnel so you can go through a portal on the surface it points at before, and I've played a lot of maps!

Also, it's possible to trap yourself by throwing the cube across the far goo pit in the second half: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/sillymel/screenshot/2485497501506358808/
It's highly unlikely to happen by accident, but I thought you should know about it.
glenmcd[AUS] 1 Jan, 2024 @ 7:08pm
Two brilliant puzzles. Not for beginners!
Melody 23 Oct, 2023 @ 1:03pm
Haha couldn't figure out that last one without jumping a gap I wasn't meant to
PDX 28 Aug, 2023 @ 11:51am
I liked the laser logic. And the markings on the floor were helpful without revealing the solution too much.
Mikeastro  [author] 2 Aug, 2023 @ 11:43pm
Thanks for playing everyone!
@Capeman1008 Hahaha excellent work solving it! That raised floor indeed served as a hint because I feared it might be a little tricky otherwise :]
CapeMan 2 Aug, 2023 @ 5:26pm
This one brought me to tears with its difficulty, and it's probably not even that hard in the grand scheme of things! The only reason I was able to figure it out was because of that one raised floor.
G4lvatron 9 Apr, 2023 @ 8:14pm
Just started playing these maps. The puzzles are very easy so far but the logic is so satisfying in all of them, these are the kind of puzzles I like to see!
greg420 2 Dec, 2022 @ 3:07pm
nice map but last 2 rooms can easily be skipped with crouch-fly glitch
Olepa 25 Jul, 2022 @ 8:51am
The second one was very cool. I had to look a solution up, but only to a point where it turned out you shouldn't use the closest laser receiver first , then I figured it out all by myself — thanks to that raised floor panel, I guess. Also, when playing through it the second time, for some reason those light strip-like things didn't render, with there being HoM instead
Not sure about the first one, though. I remember being stuck on it a few weeks ago, when I didn't look up the solution; now I watched a walkthrough video, and, while it wasn't exactly like if I had discovered the solution by myself, I still felt like it was mostly just some long-winded (relatively) portal management. So, basically, what was that 'somewhat creative concept' there? That's kinda funny even, it's like I either didn't grasp it at all or I've already become so familiar with such a move that I barely recognize it as something to pay attention to in maps ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Andy T 4 Jul, 2022 @ 10:15pm
Enjoyable entry level advanced run. The first room did stump me for a while.
FlowerTheStar 15 May, 2022 @ 4:32pm
Tricky and fun!
SpielSatzFail 15 May, 2022 @ 2:29pm
The second room was a tough one.
Mikeastro  [author] 18 Mar, 2022 @ 8:41am
@Hope Great work! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it in the end :D
Juice Enjoyer 18 Mar, 2022 @ 6:01am
yup just finished it, and it was great (defs gonna come back to this after that other collection :D)
Juice Enjoyer 18 Mar, 2022 @ 5:41am
ooo ok i'll play that collection after i complete this section of this one (after posting the comment i decided i'd give it another shot and the endorphins from completing part 1 are unparalleled-)

thanks for the advice and encouragement and im sure i will, as u've already got me hooked lol
Mikeastro  [author] 18 Mar, 2022 @ 5:38am
@Hope Thanks for playing! Indeed, these maps are tricky. In the description of the video that I believe you may be referring to, I also linked to this collection that you may find to be a bit more accessible. It's super cool that you decided to check out the workshop after watching the video. Keep it up and have fun :D
Juice Enjoyer 18 Mar, 2022 @ 5:33am
hello! i enjoyed the first 2 levels but this part ended up being too hard and stressful for me (this is my first time trying anything beyond the main campaign after a youtube video i forgot the name of had a link to this)

thought i should just say thanks for making this, and also if u have any recs for something a lil less hard to ease me into this kinda thing that'd be cool too (tho ur under no obligation to)
Mikeastro  [author] 23 Feb, 2022 @ 2:30am
@Artain I appreciate you giving the series a serious go :cozycrashfish:
EvelynTSMG 22 Feb, 2022 @ 9:05pm
I was too dumb (and impatient?) so I just skipped both puzzles :lunar2019deadpanpig:
First one with the funnel glitch, second with bhopping.
I can, however, appreciate the effort put into this :celeste_strawberry:
Mikeastro  [author] 7 Nov, 2021 @ 5:03pm
@davonds Sadly, I wouldn't have a clue. Given you're the first person to my knowledge to experience this issue with this map, I suspect it to be some kind of problem on your end. Aside from the generic advice ''try to verify the integrity of your game files'' I'm afraid I can be of no meaningful assistance :/
davonds 7 Nov, 2021 @ 4:28pm
Any idea why your puzzle crashes Steam? Yours isn't the only one, but I assume there is a common denominator. Very frustrating. It literally crashes as soon as the door opens.
Mikeastro  [author] 16 Sep, 2021 @ 7:54am
@StabGami Thanks for playing! Excellent work solving it :D I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe you'll like the rest of the series too :cozycrashfish:
StabGami 16 Sep, 2021 @ 2:49am
Wow...this one was tricky! The simplest designs always are. I had to come back to this one the next day, but finally got it. Very smart puzzle. Nice job.
Mikeastro  [author] 18 Jun, 2021 @ 2:09am
@Avatar Thank you very much for the high praise! You might enjoy the rest of the collection too :]
Avatar 17 Jun, 2021 @ 6:45pm
This one is among top 100 puzzles in terms of simplistic design and execution. Wish we had more puzzles like these.
Talisac 4 Feb, 2021 @ 11:21am
Ok I get it, easy set of map, still a nice little puzzle ;)
GraveNoX 16 Dec, 2020 @ 2:31pm
Enjoyed it. My long blind run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3ZuLGvlGnU
Mikeastro  [author] 25 Nov, 2020 @ 2:21am
@Gabriel Bacon Haha thanks a lot! That's precisely what I tried to do with the puzzles in this series. I'm very happy to hear tht you liked the music as well. I'll check out your maps if I find the time :]
Gabriel Bacon 25 Nov, 2020 @ 12:44am
You have an uncanny ability to make a simple puzzle stump me for 20+ minutes. There's seemingly so little going on and only so many things you can do and yet you still manage to hide the solution in plain sight. Pretty cool that you created the music too - you nailed the portal sound. Thanks for creating! Check mine out if you're up for a challenge :)
Muzozavr 15 Oct, 2020 @ 4:26pm
@Mikeastro Ah, I see. I'm in the "mid Mevious range", having solved all of Portal Pro, Rexaura (except for advanced 9) and Portal Stories: Mel (took more than the dev's estimated time on that one, great mod) and being able to solve, say, the No Elements pack, or Mevious' "Cohesion", but still struggling on Mevious' "Amigo". That should give you an estimate of where I am - certainly more skilled than your average player, but not in the ultra-high-end range yet. Guess that explains the disparity between your ratings and my experiences so far. :P

Also, I only now realized that you're the same person who made "Dual"! That also was quite a bit trickier for me than the listed 4/10... beautiful solution there, too.
Mikeastro  [author] 15 Oct, 2020 @ 4:16pm
@Muzozavr There's a fair chance the difficulty ratings are quite low compared to the experience of most players. The reason for this is that my ratings are more or less aimed at very experienced players of the game - people with hundreds, if not thousands of hours. Because in general my puzzles are quite complex and mostly played by such people, I decided to keep the difficulty ratings consistent across my workshop, even for these more accessible maps. This means that the vast majority of newer players will find the puzzles more complex than the rating seems to suggest - my apologies for this. So don't be deterred - the low ratings don't mean that the maps should be easy to solve at all :] I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
Muzozavr 15 Oct, 2020 @ 4:07pm
Are you underestimating the difficulty or am I just ultra-tired right now?

Have to say I've never seen the first room's concept before, beautiful. Congrats on such a non-obvious puzzle with so few portal surfaces.

Had to take a break on the second part, I actually almost had it fairly early on, but missed shooting the laser through TWO transparent walls in order to hit that catcher from the "main" island so I was trying too much unrelated stuff before I eventually returned to the right idea and solved it. A very fun map.
Mikeastro  [author] 26 Aug, 2020 @ 3:06am
@Brian Thanks a lot for playing! Nice job solving this challenging puzzle :]
Brian 25 Aug, 2020 @ 7:27pm
The second room took me a while to solve. Nice job making a challenging puzzle!
Mikeastro  [author] 13 Aug, 2020 @ 3:08am
@joe98 Excellent work completing this one! No matter how long it took, solving it by yourself is something to be proud of :D
joe98 13 Aug, 2020 @ 2:44am
The first room required work, lots of trial and error but ultimately was easy. For the second room, I almost got it out. I put the cube down and sat on it for a rest. Then I went to the cafeteria. Glados was annoyed I had spent so long in the chamber! I saw other people practising in the cube-lazer practise room and the solution came to me! The spot I had stopped for a rest was the right place for the cube! I went back in and solved it! Glados withheld the cake. :steamsad:
A05Polzar 11 Aug, 2020 @ 7:03am
No worries that is what I am doing, just solved the third one which was also clever.
