just had a idea for a ship a smaller version of the claymore like think of it as a line of exploration ships.

I've added two discussion posts to this collection to help me collate and feedback and design ideas, so if you have any please post them in the discussions below!

Your entire plethora of designs are inspired work. Each and every last one is thematically cohesive with the next, and the modular design form you took allowing for multi-module expansions to certain anchor ship/base/hv platforms is brilliant. You are a master of the craft, and I applaud you.

This is hands down the best, cohesive collection of practical vehicles and structures! I love that fact that all the CV's seem like they belong to an actual, naval family of ships. Different purposes, but similar design structure and theory.

Eleon should consider swapping the current UHC ships out for these. I think they encompass the military concept much better and are far more realistic then the current faction ships

Mostly it was the (A6), (A7), and (A8) pads. They were just so big that if there was any bump in the terrain it'd be hard to place. Usually, if I tried to lower them down into the terrain to compensate it would end up covering the solar panels and I'd have to dig them out. But as you said, I probably just need to spend more time messing with the terrain flattening tool.

BTW which pads in particular were you having issues placing? so I know which ones to focus on when I do my review

so all you need to do is go stand on a spot that is the height you are aiming for, equip your drill, select flatten tool, then deploy your drone, and then watch the terrain flattening function actually work!

Anyway I'll add that to my planed update parse after I've finished a few more of my designs to review them, I might have to change the way the larger ones work

If I add another layer I will also have to extended the ramps out, increasing minimum distance pads can be placed together and is why I didn't initially have them deeper (that and the exorbitant cost of the additional concrete required) and was instead designed with the use of the flattening tool from the drill in mind

In case you don't know how to use the fatten tool correctly (as it's really not documented well!) here is 3 tips on how to use it well:

1. The flatten function will raise / lower terrain to the level that your character is standing on
2. The flatten function will not raise terrain above the height of a full block (i.e. if the terrain is half block full it will only raise to the top of that block) and as such you will need to fill some areas first and then flatten it.
3. The drone is your friend!

As far as adding another layer of blocks under some of the bigger constructions (especially the landing pads)? You think that'd be able to happen? I can't tell you how many times I've had half the buildings foundations off the ground because flat land is extremely hard to come by at times. even if it was just a layer of concrete, it'd still make a major difference.

I have something similar to an air traffic control tower already in the works.

As for Water Filtration Plant, Trade Hub / Visitor Center and Mining Derrick they are all great ideas! and so ill will add them to my planned build list!

For the capital ship repair yard, im planning to make a space base to fulfill that role.

Can you comment on how well this collection works with the Reforged Galaxy configs? I know those configs change so much that ships off of the workshop that work fine in Vanilla are sometimes completely unusable in game with configs enabled.

Nice set. You might want to increase the depth allowance on some of the buildings though as finding flat enough land can be difficult sometimes (like for the massive landing pads).

Also, a few building ideas:

1. An Air Traffic Control Tower for the landing pads.
2. Water Filtration Plant. Placed in the water with a hollow floor to allow placing the water generators.
3. Trade Hub/Visitor Center. Safe place for people not part of your faction to hang out, yet keep them out of private areas.
4. Capital Ship Repair Yard. Just a planet side dry dock for when your capital ship is needing repairs.
5. Mining Derrick. Some servers have it to where Auto-drills don't deplete ores, which means you can set up a permanent mining site. Would be nice to have a building that surrounds the drills to provide protection.
