is it possible to also remove the resisntace factions covert action-only restriction, possibly as a toggle as it might be undesirable for some?

Do you have or know of a mod that does this but for the GTS combat training? I’m using Chimera Classes and they come with their own perks there but I’m locked out of the vanilla perks :/

should be fixed now. the issue was with difficulty variants not being adjusted.

I was and still am on Commander for the different campaigns. I was always wait out and play really late into the game to the point where you only get breakthroughs but never saw anything beyond assault rifles for the maybe 3 or 4 campaigns I've tried

Testing Hypothesis, same load order that previously wasn't working on Commander/Legendary, while using Guaranteed Breakthroughs Modular Cannons popped up on Veteran difficulty.

Worked on first campaign as soon as I installed it playing Veteran, in 3 campaigns since it hasn't been able to unlock, tried to find a conflict without any luck. Of the 3 that didn't, 2 were on legendary, one on commander. Tried to find a conflict to no avail, always posts to the log as doing it's thing. Thanks for the efforts.

given there's some 40+ breakthroughs, plus inspirations to compete with, are you certain it's not just bad luck? the multiple layers of rng makes it a special kind of hell to test, but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't just work digging through the code for tech availability checks.

Same here. This has never appeared to work for me. Same old breakthroughs every time using RPGO. Never see a sniper, shotgun, cannon, sword, or pistol breakthrough.

Curious question, but is there anything that needs to be done beyond just subscribing to get the breakthroughs? I've started two campaigns but only got the assault rifle breakthroughs

As a curiosity, is it possible to put OR requirements for them? So that a certain breakthrough can unlock as long as you have one of at least two certain classes.

oh wow. That explains everything. Very nice of chu. I thought my rng was shid but no, it wasn't rng. I can understand the intent of the devs. Having something for a thing you don't have...

Cannon, Sniper, Pistol, Sword, Shotgun. Damage and Upgrade Slots. (by virtue of not having the grenadier, sharpshooter or ranger classes)

Rifles don't have a class req (likely due to rookies) and faction weapons should show up outside of unlucky rolls with multiple faction classes, so it's hard to notice until you actually go looking for it.

@Mitzruti - Can you give some examples of the breakthroughs that would be missing without this mod? The reason I ask is that I play with RPGO but seem to get most (all?) of the breakthroughs either directly or through covert missions.

Yeah. RPGO is a good example of the kind of set up that you'd need this to get your breakthroughs.

If I understand well; this means that your mod re introduces all the breakthroughs irrespective of whether you have the classes or not ? I assume that it is compatible with RPGO, where there is no classes ?

Ohhh, this is interesting. Definitely gonna be using it, and every class pack that disables/replaces vanilla classes should recommend it in their description (unless they implement the change themselves).
