Isn't the 9 ball more of a yellowish color than orange? 5's or 13's are orange.

Ok, actually the 3 ball is the red ball on billiard, 10 is blue, so that's why they are team different, the 9 and 1 ball are orangey so it fits both teams, the 8 ball cuz 8 ball lol

Ironically, back in the 19th century billiard balls did sometimes explode, because, in an attempt to find a replacement for ivory as material, they crafted billiard balls from flammable celluloid, an early plastic that was, unfortunately, combustible. It was patented in 1869, just a few years after the first human-made plastic, Parkesine.
