@BierPizzaChips. Wow, thanks for the link. He's done a better job than me. I'll be using those. I will make sure that my remake is not dependant on the DLC.

@BierPizzaChips. I think the problem with the building is it's textured only on one side of each plane. To fix this I would have to include a lot more geometry (making the file bigger). Similar problem with the road. I am thinking of remaking the whole thing to address various problems with it and to take advantage of the new Airport dlc but that will take quite some time. I do appreciate your enthusiasm and comments for the airport though and Mk2 may get started sooner because of them.

@Yamashta: I really like the elevated road in your airport, especially as i have another custom airport connected in my build, which joins that elevated road. Looks great. BUT: Your elevated road is indeed just a road and therefore transparent from below, which is another killer for any First Person view. And have a First Person drive through an airport setup with your great asset, is something for which i am really looking forward. Any chance to change your elevated airport road into an elevated 'bridge' similar to the vanilla double one-direction road, just a wee bit wider and without railings? I can suppress a lot in common roads, but not the railings ... so i really need your elevated road. (Always these demanding people who already get stuff for free :steamhappy: )

Thanks, Yamashta. For being crystal clear: All functionality of this Airport is fine. And i love the second level road. Very performance friendly design and easy to enhance with props. Great work, very much appreciated. (Just that disappearance in close up of centre is annoying)

What do i have to do for not having the left and right part disappearing as soon as the centre is out of the screen? The current disappearance of parts on close by disables sadly any use with First Person view.
Otherwise works very well. Would love to keep it, but the disappearance issue is a showstopper.

@Yamashta - I think @crispy136 's idea would be great just to allow greater variations with the asset as well. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'll take a look the next time I load up the game.

@ koyangi. It's almost impossible for me to guess why the airport is not working for you. Pay particular attention to your taxi ways, runway and road connection to the airport. One small mistake can mess things up. Try different configurations of the above. For example leave out "airport road no props" and "elevated airport road" and just plop the airport against an ordinary road to keep things simple and take it from there. Hope this helps.

Hi. Planes just fly in circles above this airport. Sometimes they land. And then they start an djust fly permanently in circles above this airport. I installed all needed objects as described above.

@crispy136, wow! Thanks! I will look into that. So far I have made the cims invisible on the apron and made a boarding bridge prop (not updated or uploaded yet). Before I upload anything though I shall experiment with your recommendations.

Great airport! One way to make this airport have more realistic aircraft gate usage is to split it into 3 separate assets, each with just 1 gate, that are then placed separately as individual assets side by side. CS then treats each gate as a separate airport and evenly divides the departures/arrivals between all 3 sections. Currently CS views this asset as just 1 airport and uses just 1 gate nearly all the time, rarely uses a 2nd gate and never uses the 3rd gate. It looks like your model could be split into 3. The only issue would be the right gate (viewed from the street) would need to have a separate exit for passengers than the middle gate, rather than the current shared exit. Having 3 separate assets would make your airport very realistic in its passenger and aircraft operation.

Thanks for the reply. I get random stuff happening too but more to do with how cims enter and exit the airport but I don't know what to do about it apart from experiment. I've heard that placing airports to close to the edge of the map can cause issues with planes. So long as you like the airport keep on experimenting. I appreciate the feed back.

i think i kinda know what the problem is but its super hard to fix. the landing strip effects the planes behaviour. first the planes were all despawning after they arrived at the terminals than i managed by changing the strip slightly that they spawn again and fly off and after another edit the most of them do the job right and drive to the terminal and fly off without despawning. sometimes they come in a weird angle or fly straight into the terminal but these are just exeptions. some planes still despawn what they dont on other modded airports with preset airstrip

Aard Blue, it's the vanilla pavement texture from a standard road but it does weird stuff when elevated but I think I know how to fix it. Is that what you're getting at?
