If it's for a server, check with your host for location.

Does this mod also stop you from dismounting like an ejector seat? Like when I dismount a flyer or some other dinos, it's like pushing an ejection button, and I get launched like 4 foundations to the right or sometimes left so if I'm like 3-4 foundations away from a cliff, I still get launched over.

It`s interesting. If you walk with the flyer (Wyvern in that case) it doesn`t dismount, but as soon as you start flying it throws you off.

@Plague Doctor By default its flyers only. If you enable AllDinos config, it'll be all dinos...ish. There's some exceptions that I cant get around like the Stego. Where you are is irrelevant. Ground, sky, ocean...doesnt matter.

Does this Mod also prevent dismounting in caves? That would be amazing, I currently have the problem, that it can`t be deactivated on Fjördur, it`s really annyoing in those underground places you can go to via Bifröst.

Alright, I didn't wanna report the bug too early till I could confirm what caused it and how to fix and such. So now that I finally figured it out and confirmed, I reported. I think it just needs a delay in listening for the key after the successful input of double tap.

There's no allowed list, its just a check if its a flyer or not, or all dinos if you use the config. That said, there are some that don't cooperate(namely the mana and the stego).
Should be an easy fix.

We've experienced a bug for a long time and we can now confirm that it is absolutely Flyer Seatbelt.

If you accidentally triple tap E to dismount, the next time you mount any creature, you won't be able to dismount, unless it happens to also require double E to dismount.

People seem to log off and restart their game thinking this will fix, but it does not. I keep telling players in my server how to fix as restarting does nothing. As soon as they mount another non-flyer, they will be stuck again.

To fix, they must eat a couple narcotics or be knocked out, then find a flying dino that requires double E, and then dismount from it properly.

Is there any chance you can update to add a fix for this? I believe the seatbelt is being locked on because of the third tap of E. Also, can you add Manas to the seatbelt list?

Jump when dismount happens on any dino you can't stand on top of. If you can't stand on it, there's no reason to dismount on top of it and get stuck in an infinite fall. You don't really jump that far, Ninja Kirby.

I know it's been a time since your last update. But wouldn't it be possible to remove the jump when dismounting and especially make it so the player doesn't jump off so far, I think it's really stupidly programmed in ark the default dismounting movement.

The mod needs an update because of the new dino updates.
And could you PLEASE add a feature that every player is able to enable / disable it?
On our srvers, beginners want to use the mod but the more experienced players don't really like it.

Any chance you could make this work for land dinos as well, maybe an ini setting to enable/disable for land dinos. I know it is not quite as bad but I have to go through gates and dismounting rather than open the gate or accidentally hitting e during a battle and dismounting. I have always thought the dismount for all dinos should be dbl tap. Thanks for considering and for the awesome mod that had saved my butt way too many times. My most spoken last words... "DOH! WRONG DAMN BUTTON!"

No it doesn't.

Load order shouldn't matter. The only bug that I never fixed was relogging(on servers) broke it. Again, dying/fast travel/etc fixed it.

Only things i can think of that might be interfering are Classic Flyers & HLNA Everywhere.
Classic Flyers is obvious, and HLNA replaces the player pawn.
Does this need to be first in the load order?

How many mods are you running? What kind? Any big overhauls? etc? It's a simple buff that gets applied to the default characters. This means you need a new one or you need to respawn.

It's worked fine for me, on servers and singleplayer, since I published it.

@KPInc425 Upon first installation, it will not work until you respawn(die, fast travel, etc). After that it'll work all the time. On a new character or a new server, it'll work from the get go.

Really love the idea behind this mod! It should definitely be just the default for the game, can't tell you how many time I have fallen to my death. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working on servers. I am wondering if its a compatibility issue with Kraken's Better Dinos, or perhaps it needs to be higher up in the load order? I will report back if I find a solution, just wanted to give ya a heads up :) Keep up the Great work!

Just gave a try yesterday on my server, it work really good!
I also tried to uninstall it to check if it cause break the server (in case if the mod is discontinued).
Everything run smoothly after, so it safe.

Mount/Dismount/Use/Activate are all the same key(e by default). You can change that in player options to whatever you want and this will respect that.

If you want to use E for use and dismount be something separate, I'm sure it's possible, but I don't really see the point. If you changed E to be F4, for example, you simply need to hit F4 twice to dismount.

Opening containers, doors, looting, etc, all act as normal.

The only time the use key works different is when mounted on a flyer.

Great mod idea! Can't tell you how many times I died to the gravity boss back in the day. Nowadays it is ingrained in me not to hit that button but sometimes it still happens from an accidental finger grazing.
