Ok so Exotic Goods Traders are no longer buying regular sculptures from me and sometimes they buy statues from this mod from me or somethimes they dont. Seems something in my game broke and this mod is the only one I can guess is affecting that. Is it compatible with 1.2?

@sion This mod does allow for "cheaper" production of statues, but I would like to point out.. The chunks have little value before being crafted into blocks, and all crafted items in game have a value heavily influenced by material value. This makes the "statues" worth less than "sculptures". They will not sell for as much, and will not add as much value to a room. I find the balance to be reasonable. If you want more expensive stuff, then you have to invest more materials and time to make sculptures. If you just want a quick beauty boost, carve a statue out of a chunk.

@sion Yes, this mod does drastically reduce the amount of resources used to create statues. I can make up some logic about how you are wasting less material about by not cutting chunks into blocks, and then cutting those blocks again to shape them. But really it has to do with hauling times and work areas. I have found that projects that require many objects (non stackable) causes too many issues. Such as super long job setup times, from long trips out to gather materials as well as the occasional issue where some other colonist will "clean up" the required mats before the job is started. This can cause pawns to stay up way past bedtime and lead to mental breaks.

@eddache I had to change some stone properties to allow for them to be used as ingredients. there is not a "chunky" catagory, along with woody and stony.. I am unsure how this stops smoothed walls from spawning, but I suppose its possible. Do you have other mods that allow smoothed walls to exist? if so it can be a mod conflict. Does it stop you from creating smoothed walls as well, or just the natural spawn of them?

(Havn't tested this mod yet) but according to my calculations, this mod makes statues super cheap (but I really like the idea & I agree that it makes no sense to make blocks first).

1 chunk = 20 blocks.

Statues cost with mod:
Small ....= 1 chunk = 20 blocks (without mod:.. 50 blocks = 2.5 chunks )
Medium = 2 chunk = 40 blocks (without mod: 100 blocks = 5 chunks )
Large ....= 4 chunk = 80 blocks (without mod: 400 blocks = 20 chunks (ridiculously expensive) )

Hi Joseph, great idea for the mod, as Omega13 said, 'why did it not already work this way'. Pretty sure Michaelangelo didnt break his marble into bricks and then make David.
Anyway, I seem to get an error with this mod where any smoothed marble walls dont spawn in. I've put the log in this: https://pastebin.com/fnbav1jf
Reloaded without the mod and they spawned, and tried putting it back on but near the top of the modlist and they didnt spawn again. I don't have any smoothed walls of other rock types though so not sure if it applies to those too.

This is such a "Why did it not already work this way" mod.
