/nregen makes it so people can see the nebula on multi player anyone that didn't spawn it has to go in it and type /nregen and they will see it on their side as well sorry for the chopped up comment trying to explain it

I used /nregen and everyone that does the command
cromkiller12 15 Jan, 2021 @ 3:20pm
On multi player you can see the nebula until you color it, is there a way I can change the spawn in color so everyone can see it?

@Jakaria, are you likely to give permission for me to use this and yr Water Mod in a scenario I'm making? The latter especially would make a huge diff- I'm crafting a moon like Enceladus with ice crust- deep ocean - rocky core. Aiming to make this scenario a work of art.

Alpha transparency

What is the A in the RGBA setting? How does it work? Thanks.
Regalius 22 Sep, 2020 @ 12:55am
can you mine these nebulae for different resources? it would be interesting if you could go to a red cloud and collect ice with trace iron for example. I wish there were more elements in game, i'd love to farm xenon for a living.
Gaz 14 Jul, 2020 @ 2:37pm
Would it be possible to create smaller sizes of these nebulas?
King Onyx 13 Jul, 2020 @ 9:59pm
ahhh Okay this doesn't spawn for me the chat command yields no result but I also hadn't read your own comment yet
Tonic 30 Jun, 2020 @ 4:56pm
i hope in the remake they look a bit better at a distance, inside they look great but far away they are kinda meh. i was hoping to see some pillars of creation stuff tho that might be to much to ask. very excited to see the remake :D
Mike Dude 6 Jun, 2020 @ 9:03pm
ok thanks for the update!
Jakaria  [author] 3 Jun, 2020 @ 12:11pm
I will be remaking this mod in a month or two after I finish a project. consider this on hold for the time being
Bees, please! 12 May, 2020 @ 10:20pm
I should've added this in my previous comment, but would it be possible to allow the addition of 3D functions into commands? i.e. that way we can make our own size and shape of nebulea, and set the diameter aswell. or atleast make some premade nebula shapes that we can paste in?
Bees, please! 12 May, 2020 @ 9:36pm
I have to say: I LOVE this mod. love love love. best settings for an exotic looking nebula is /ncolor 30 0 10 1000, makes a bright magenta nebula with a VERY dense interior, it feels like im hiding my ship. Hopefully when DarkStar adds targetting jamming, maybe Jakaria can mirror that aswell when inside of the nebulae.
Mike Dude 9 May, 2020 @ 8:02am
Any update on this? The nebula clouds are completely solid when inside the nebula (despite very low alpha). Very hard to see anything.
Gliese 832 c 8 May, 2020 @ 5:54am
Is it possible to create nebulae rarger than 200Km? I have a lot of modded planets, some bigger than the default 120Km limit, and 200Km nebulae just look very weird. I tried creating a bigger one by placing a few near each other, and even that didn't really help. A slider that goes up to at least 2000-3000 Km would be very appreaciated.
DeAnti 6 May, 2020 @ 5:01pm
nice find leo i didnt think of that very cool thing to do
Leo_Draconus 2 May, 2020 @ 1:11pm
Creating a black nebula is almost invisible from the outside but looks like a dark void from the inside. I like it.
From an RP standpoint, it could be an anomaly that is hard to detect until you're in it, then blocks almost* all light leaving you lost within the abyss. *(the Sun and the stars on the skybox still poke through every now and then)
axo 14 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33am
i put a few nebulae around my server too, but they disappeared shortly after when i rejoined the game. a few days ago they reappeared without warning or input
Makuta Nazo 11 Apr, 2020 @ 2:32pm
Ah no, i'm also having the same safe zone issues with the mod too, it totally undraws the nebula and forces me to regen it.
Makuta Nazo 11 Apr, 2020 @ 12:37pm
@Jakaria I have a dedicated server and i just noticed some funky problems with the mod. When i place a nebula, and everyone leaves the server, it no longer draws the nebula i placed previously. But if i go to its location, and /nregen the nebula will reappear. Is there any way around this to make it work properly? The Nebula is intentionally on a location of interest in my solar system and i can't be on every day to be constantly regenerating it every time the server goes empty, or resets.
Mike Dude 6 Apr, 2020 @ 9:43am
I have another bug to report. After successfully running /nremove on all nebulae, and uninstalling the mod, it appears to leave behind the shadow and sun settings on the entire server that was applied in one of the nebulae, even with the mod removed. Upon re-adding the mod, the unwanted shadow and light coloring goes away.
Neo420 24 Mar, 2020 @ 10:41am
@Jakaria I have a dedicated server with the mod on. It doesn't perform the same way as it does on a local save. Which I expected. But it still works. You can feel free to test on my server if you want. I love the mod and decided that I wanted to use it on my server. Message me if you are interested.
Mike Dude 23 Mar, 2020 @ 8:45pm
Just tested it out. It redraws correctly for just me as I enter and exit a safezone. But other players entering and exiting safezones still causes it to un-draw for all players in the server. I think having it always drawn even though it looks strange inside safezones is a better option right now.

The opacity inside the nebula is still incorrect. Even with 0.01 alpha, the clouds are 100% opaque as they are in my first screenshot below. Hopefully you're able to remedy this. I know keen broke a LOT of stuff with their latest update, and they are pushing a patch tomorrow.
Jakaria  [author] 22 Mar, 2020 @ 6:11pm
Let me know how it acts now, I don't have a DS myself to test.
Mike Dude 22 Mar, 2020 @ 3:28pm
Hello, I saw you updated the mod and I tested it out today, but unfortunately it no longer works for dedicated servers at all.

1. It seems to disappear for all players when a single person enters a safezone, and it does not redraw when anyone exits a safezone. Upon manually regenerating it, it only becomes visible for just person that regenerates.

2. Another issue is the alpha is not working correctly inside the nebula. You can see from my screenshot here: https://imgur.com/PUhcazd that it is completely opaque using /ncolor 0.2 0.1 0.1 0.1. when inside, but outside it looks as expected https://imgur.com/wevjx3c . This issue appeared with the frostbite update last thursday.

I really love the mod and we built our server world around having 2 nebulas and would be extremely grateful if you're able to fix these 2 issues. Thanks!
Mike Dude 21 Mar, 2020 @ 9:09pm
Yeah not rendering them inside safezones would be just fine. The issue i noted with safezone visual also happens with other effects, like when welding or grinding or other emitter effects. Almost as if the nebulae effects are drawing on top of other effects. I also noticed what appears to be the nebulae regenerating automatically (as if I ran /nregen) every minute or 2 in server.
Jakaria  [author] 21 Mar, 2020 @ 4:28pm
I have no control over safezone rendering. Would just *not* drawing them when inside a safezone be fine?
Mike Dude 21 Mar, 2020 @ 4:11pm
Love the mod and started using it on our server. New issue with latest SE version, inside the nebula is incredibly opaque and dark. Alpha adjustments have almost no effect. Outside the nebula alpha does work ok though. Also, when viewing nebulea through safezones makes them extremely apparent and undesireably vibrant. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/622087318504996894/691057338752434256/unknown.png

Mod updated for weather fog compatibility.
dayus713 17 Mar, 2020 @ 4:04pm
id love to see differing effects from nebulae like in the old rts game star trek armada but i figure they would be very difficult to impliment
Fatsack 17 Mar, 2020 @ 1:19am
Any effects of being inside a nebulae? Is it a hazard at all?
Roshag 15 Mar, 2020 @ 12:12pm
Medium settings, 120 fps without nebulae, 40 with. Can it be fixed?
Const 6 Mar, 2020 @ 6:59pm
no, it's Nebulae, or Nebulas
Stardust 6 Mar, 2020 @ 11:40am
It's actually Nebulodes, not Nebuli
SnowyRay 6 Mar, 2020 @ 8:55am
Everyone, before making stupid comments, please keep in mind that the Mod Author is working WITH Keen Software to bring this mod into Vanilla Space Engineers.

They will likely not be adding any massive features while working with the Devs, so I will advise not asking for all the shit.
WiredKamikaze 6 Mar, 2020 @ 12:37am
Is there a way to scale the nebula to say something bigger, like 1000km?
CaffeneProblems 5 Mar, 2020 @ 6:15pm
THAT NEBULA IS BLOCKING OUR SENSORS!

@Apothicon Nope, Jakaria is introducing weather into the vanilla.
patricksalz 3 Mar, 2020 @ 9:35pm
What looks really cool: spawn 2 or 3 nebulii(?) ~75 km away from each other, and do a gradient in their color... looks sick. perhaps in future update an option to apply a gradient between two colors on one nebula would be possible, please :) !?
TheGreebleAdict 3 Mar, 2020 @ 2:45pm
Now i want to build the Kessel Run..
Stollie 3 Mar, 2020 @ 12:34pm
This mod looks like its IN the update. The very textures from it are in the game files.
Apothicon 3 Mar, 2020 @ 11:57am
just a headsup when the weather update comes out this mod will break
Steelphantom 3 Mar, 2020 @ 9:01am
if you could make this able to stop people from jumping that would be epic
DinkleDonkleBingleBangle 3 Mar, 2020 @ 9:00am
do they randomly generate in the world?
Lex 3 Mar, 2020 @ 3:49am
This would be so cool for cinematic effects, love it! :steamhappy:
