I don't know if it's been asked, but can these lakes be built underground?
BoogieMan 27 Nov, 2022 @ 10:27am
@Shayle Thorne As far as I can tell "Natural Lakes" requires the mod "Natural Paths" while "Lakes" does not.. Beyond that, I'd like to know, too.

Whats the difference between Natural Lakes and Lakes....?
Kayedon 6 Oct, 2021 @ 10:36pm
@The Almighty 404: It should, given that it inherits the same information as base water. All it needed for the fishing zones patch was to be added to a list of tiles the fishing zones can be placed on.

Does the lakes count for Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi wasabi ?

@Steve Thanks for comment, that's why I wanted to install this. I'm doing a "cave people" and running low on lemurs to eat, could use a lil fishing spot!!!

I wanted a lake to stock fish in but this does not seem to allow that

I'd just like to throw a vote in for "world-feature" auto-generating type lakes. This is still pretty cool though so definitely checking it out.

@Rege I've looked through the Def's again and it seems like I overlooked something. It is now shallow water where you can fish and build bridges. :steamhappy:
Shira 7 Aug, 2020 @ 8:38am
@RadZerp shallow water would be better than deep water
permarust  [author] 5 Mar, 2020 @ 7:26am
@Oddiot becasue of naming issus I was only able to use deep water tiles for this.
Oddiot 4 Mar, 2020 @ 5:47pm
I love the idea of being able to dig out a lake. Question though, what kind of water tile does this place? I ask because of the various fishing mods and the impassable chest deep water mods?

Being able to dig out a lake to fish in would be awesome, or building a moat around your base.

@abbelsap I will put all my mods up on github tomorrow!

Any chance for a non-steam download link as well? :)

I definitely like the idea of having a large body of water on the map (with alternatives to just a coast). Creates interesting building situations, like building so that the only way into the base could be a bridge across the lake. I don't know the coding requirements, but it may be interesting to see lake as a terrain feature when selecting colony site. Like caves, river, road, coast, etc. Could land on a tile with a lake, if we chose.

Definitely will be trying out this mod. Thanks!

@Bishop This mod adds lakes as a buildable tile. The reason I haven't added auto-generation is that it could be quite annoying having to use moisture pumps to remove any unwanted lake tile.
Bishop 2 Mar, 2020 @ 9:08am
We building lakes with this mod, or does it generate lakes?

Thank you @RadZerp !

@"The Bus" I have created a standalone mod called Lakes .
j736 1 Mar, 2020 @ 9:32am
Anyway to make this mod standalone? I like the concept of lakes but didn't want the paths :)
Spyware006 1 Mar, 2020 @ 7:41am
nice

Really nice idea thanks!
