That would explain it. I love my Machines a bit too much. I was just wondering why I never saw it even in late game when my Exterminator fleets are bombing all life from the galaxy.

They are a Society research behind Biological Warfare, which itself requires the Nutrient Replication tech, and Quantum Missiles.

This does make the acquisition of the cystalline missiles more of a challenge for machine intellects.

What do you have to have to get the new missiles? I have seen PPCs but not the missiles.

Personally I was always a fan of the Whirlwind Missile line and was hoping to see it continue to type V.

Yes, the AI can use most of these components. I believe the only thing I have them set to NOT use is the White Matter Bombardment - having the AI glass your planets into barren wastelands is not fun

Any updates coming for 4.0? My attempt to use the mod with 4.0 (worked fine with 3.14) has lead to crashes when I start a new game. Did the painstaking turn one mod off at a time procedure, and unfortunately this was the culprit. Use NSC3 and newest ESC Next as my only starship mods.

I have to eradicate usless small pop speices or delete usless countries in the late game era with console to prevent this FPS and overall performence drop

I occasionally return to Stellaris when the mood strikes me. I mostly just get frustrated with late-game sim drop since my preferred way to play runs a bit long and a bit large. If this mod absolutely breaks or has some glaring issues, I'll definitely run through it and troubleshoot it.

Something like that might certainly be possible, I'll absolutely look into it. Many of these techs really shouldn't be appearing until mid-game. PPCs, advanced armors, amoeba fighters, crystalline missiles, and lances are certainly subject to this - everything else is probably fine. I probably won't make it a hard limit, just reduce their likelihood.

Very powerfull, but with a tech-rush they drop pretty early in the game, is there a way to restrict their spawning to a certain date? Habitats and rings can only be researched in the mid-game

I somehow got to late game without ever seeing the Crystalline missiles (sliver or otherwise). Is there a console command to add them? And what is the prereq to discovering them?

No new plans to make strike craft at this time.

And yes, I did nerf weapons a fair amount. They're still very strong, though. I may yet re-buff the kinetic artillery and/or twin autos, but I think at least for the ubiquitous and universally-applicable PPCs, I think they're in a good place right now. I might juggle missiles a little more. I do make use of Change Notes, so kindly be sure to check those if you have questions about updates before puzzling over them blindly : )

Any plans to make weapons for the crisis factions? This mod kind of blows them out of the water. Especially if your using starbase expanded with this... And this is with a mod that increases the difficulty of crisis factions.

Update is in the works, just reviewing things to make sure nothing is bustificated. Ideally it's nothing more than a version bump, so it should work fine despite the launcher's complaints.

AI does indeed use these components. It's not a guarantee, but I have definitely seen Starbases and AI ships pick these components up with good frequency. You may not see them as much on lower game difficulties, but they're around.

The armor advancements require both neutronium (tier-5) and crystal-forged plating. They're also a very low-weight rare tech, meaning they're unlikely to show up until very late-game.
