@C._.502 Copy the LocalRICOSettings.xml file from the game executable directory to the other device; all the local settings are stored in that file.

Hi i wanna ask that does "local" data of RICO buildings is unable to transfer to another device when using the same saved city? Is there any solution instead or i can only input "local" data at other device for one more time? Thanks

@Hela Yes, that would be one of the save-and-apply limitations. Restart your game instead.

I think I found a bug (might be because I constantly use the "save and apply" experimental feature . Usually I turn monuments into growables, but when I want to undo this and turn them back to monuments, I noticed that I can't turn on/off the building, or it just stays either on and off forever. No matter what I do, remove local, turn it into a dummy (original self) the on/off option stays stuck, even when demolished, it stays off, its a funky bug haha. I checked settings and I can't seem to turn it back completely to a monument, it stays as a park rather, but doesn't appear in Parks tab.

@Rahmey Okay, I have to assume on balance of probability that you're not familiar with the mod :) Have you tried a quick test game (new city) with just this mod, Harmony, and Loading Screen Mod active to see if the problem still occurs?

@Rahmey Check the mod's options panel; you most likely haven't activated the options to make growables spawn instantly without construction time and to have them survive outside of the correct zones. See also the mod's wiki, linked in the description above, for more details.

I'm sure this is probably a mod conflict somewhere. But while I figure it out, maybe you could shed some insight as to why growables need to be constructed, and then disapear?

@Räkmacka Hard to say without more info (although likely nothing to do with this mod). What do you mean by "not showing up"? You mean that you can't find them in Find It?

Might be challenged, but my workshop-growables are not showing up and thus I can not build custom buildings that are classed as growables. Could this be a mod issue or is it an issue at the individual assets? Keep in mind all the vanilla growables are still there.

@Nicki There can only be one AI for each building, so you can't have both standard and Ploppable RICO AI active for one building at the same time. So yes, once you apply a Ploppable RICO AI that building is no longer vanilla - that's a core game limitation and can't be changed.

To undo, simply select the Ploppable RICO setting for that building and press the 'remove local' button, and then restart your game. See also the FAQ linked above, question 1.

When I first got the mod, I was toying with it on a random city and now I want to use the buildings that I saved a local setting for as the vanilla game intended and the mod seems to remove the vanilla building and move it to only RICO settings. Like for farming, I may have used the main building as a test and now I can't use it as intended. Is there a way to fix that or will I just have to remove RICO and redownload it?

@AngryDragon That would only happen if you're using an outdated mod or a corrupted copy of the game. Use Skyve to check and update your mod list.

@satoruxxxx5525 Make it historical - you can use the setting in this mod to automatically make all placed buildings historical (only applies to new buildings - if you have any existing buildings that you need to make historical, you will have to do that manually, or use the Advanced Building Level Control mod).

@Bell I can't see the content of your comment because Steam is filtering it out; did you post a link to your output log? Try paste.ee or ufile.io instead if so, those usually aren't blocked by Steam (but many other sites are).

@samtheham Some suggestions are to check your settings in the options panel for this mod about allowing plopped growables to survive (see also the wiki linked above), and to check that your Loading Screen Mod settings aren't set to skip those assets, but that's about as much as I can suggest without more info from you.

Trying to place vanilla buildings but they are not showing up. Taking. Break tonight maybe I’m missing something but only asset plops are showing up and not all of them either just a few. There is one high density residential building. Any help appreciated

@Bell @Frogfoots This mod still works fine; nothing has changed and it continues to be used by many players every day.

If you're having issues, nobody can help you if you don't post your output log showing the issue, as without it nobody can see what's happening on your computer.

And @Bell, I hope you're not confusing the 'not built with this game version' courtesy notification with saying it's "incompatible", as that's not what that message means.

@Azkabanos Unfortunately, no; buildings larger than 4x4 should be treated as 'signature'-type buildings that remain static.

Sorry for the late response - yup found out that the growable setting just wasn't checked. Didn't know that was a thing. So you say there's absolutely no way to make buildings bigger than 4x4 to level up?

@algernon my RICO doesn't seem to work and wont load any of the buildings in the menu. I have resubscribed multiple times and even with no mods other than RICO and Harmony it doesn't seem to work.

Ah thats unfortunate... But from my testing even buildings not bigger than 4x4, which have rico configuration, can't level up. Is that possible to chamge or no?

@Azkabanos That can be done via the 'growable' settings for buildings less than 4x4. For larger buildings, I did do some experiments but the problems it caused weren't worth the effort.

Hello, would it be possible to make RICO buildings level up on their own, based on their enviroment - like normal buildings, when you place them they have first level, and then they can upgrade on their own?

@verovski74 This mod works fine with the latest update, and that update was minor and didn't affect any mods (other than Loading Screen Mod Revisited, which was promptly updated). If you want help, you'll need to share your output log so we can see what's going on with your system.

Since last update, RICO isnt working properly. As soon as I enter the game, I get multiple errors with RICO and then when I unpause the game - I get multiple errors per second.

if i remember correctly it just gives a generic error with no description, nothing is actually broken but it continuesly shows a generic error until you remove whatever building you placed

@DOMINATOR Yes, it still works fine. I assume you're talking about the courtesy notification that it wasn't built with the current game version - that's not anything to do with "complying", just an assist if you're having any issues.

If you use the mod to allow buildings to survive outside of the correct zone then here's a fix:

Untick the setting "Growable buildings can survive outside of the correct zone". Tick it again and resume your game.

@Miniu Reduce the population for those buildings, or use a mod like Realistic Population 2 to reduce service requirements. If you've got too much population in one building the game will struggle.

When i am placing building from this mod people in them die and have too much crime so i have problems with poilce even though I placed 10 police stations in small city its like police just don't want to go in there and health service also don't want to go. What is the problem? When I place normal building everything goes perfectly
