Looks cool. Very minimalist.

@Momo
Now I see why you chose this screenshot!
Very good design!

Hi @344897118, of course in mid game, you probably don't need this one. But remember, you can't destroy Alien POI structures with level 5 weapons. This SV allow you to destroy doors, turrets, ... inside a POI at level 5. Furthermore, you will be able to kill monsters without being hit if you are high enough.

I didn't choose the alien POI shown in the screenshots just because it's one of the best designs, but also because this SV is really effective inside this one. You can kill all nightmares without being hit with some skills. Try it, then you will change your mind.

But when fighting indoors, individual soldiers are more flexible.

So I don't think the indoor small fire support vehicle is significant.

If it's in an outdoor environment, just to deal with ordinary beasts, why not use a logging car?

Machine translation, please forgive me.

My strategy isn't subtle, but I figure if the designers are going to design POI the way they do, I needn't concern myself with playing by their "rules". lol

That first POI is usually a bit tricky to wrangle. And many POI are designed to be death traps for the unwary. idk if this would help, but it could. If you know what you're up against it definitely would. I might try it!

I'm more on starter / newbies design for a quicker start. This build is limited for specific situations like alien bases on starter planet. But in other cases, such as Zirax bases, your solution is better, except perhaps to save ammunition ;)

Usually I just blast a hole in the wall and floor from the outside using my CV turrets or a bigger SV, but yeah, I can see where this would come in handy occasionally.

I do know what you mean! When I first started playing, it took me a very long time to even build a base because of the base attack mechanic. You need good defenses very early just to keep your base in one piece. My 2nd save I got attacked in the vanilla POI base before I even unlocked the shotgun.

I always think about new players, they're the lifeblood of a game. The game is already very badly balanced, the beginnings is really steep while the end game is boring. The Zirax attacks didn't bring much interest. Zirax loot table is really poor. We need something new for the end game, more focused on survival aspect like flying monsters (my suggestion was removed from Steam ...), bosses (Alien queen), ... Rare POI, Crew management, superweapons ...

@Mono, well a lot of that will change soon my friend! Starting in A12 they are going to be upping the POI difficulties. The new turrets will be stronger and they are going to call for help when we attack a POI.

Thank you @bobo8734.
For an SV of this size, all blocks are vital: Fuel tank = down ; generator = down ; RCS or thrusters = unable to control your vessel. The core has the most HP, this is why I put it in front of the ship. Of course you can add some thin block to protect it but it will be harder to move inside a POI.

I have personnally tested this SV, he will do his job on Alien POI (on starter planet). You can take down turrets inside POI they are weak, same with monsters if you take distances. You can also repair the core after each battle. I've never lost the Core inside a POI but I've already been killed several times by monsters on HWS servers. The MicroShip doesn't make you invulnerable, or it would be too easy, but it helps a lot on starter planet when you don't have enough firepower to destroy turrets ^^

Very nicely done - dirt cheap! My only concern is having the core up front without even a light to protect it. Still gonna try it though!

Exactly what I am hoping for @Momo!
MoMo  [author] 12 Mar, 2020 @ 1:59pm
Alpha 11 destroyed ships' control, big S.V have lost manoeuvrability and the small ones became too fast. Even if mouse sensitivity is reduced, there is still a keyboard issue.

Developers seem to have some difficulties to integrate acceleration system for keys input, it's all or nothing. The next update should allow us to choose the sensitivity for the 3 axes. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, we'll have choice between accurate but slow vessel, or fast vessel unable to aim ... I hope I'm wrong.

Really cool, been enjoying these build types for a while, although I haven't updated mine to handle the changes in thrust/rcs. I'll have to try the microship out

Thank you @TerryBeer16 ;)

It is very cool, compact and cheap!

Thank you @setosep, I really enjoy when I see someone using my work.

I generally use the Micro Ship as my first SV (I do tend to rush for it) just to fly all over the map and look for nice POI's.

Although i always put a block in front of the core... its really vulnerable in that front ;/

Great ship, extremely cheap and fast to make.
